Very cool collection!
Thanks, I don't have that much shelf space so some are still boxed.
-
You do have some great stuff!
I also liked the before and after photos on those Anakin heads. Off to the front pages.
-
I agree with Tamer. Wow! So much awesome stuff of all different scales to look at! I really like your customs, especially the Darth Jar Jar one! Also your lightsaber collection is very impressive! What are you going to do with your massive fleet of model kits? Are they all from AMT and Bandai?
The Sith mask looks fantastic, too! Is it the one from The Old Republic? Do you have a costume for cosplay?
Did you make the resin kit of the Millenium Falcon by youself?
So much great stuff and so many questions...thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comment on my Anakin's.
I used a soft bristled brush with heavily thinned Vallejo acrylics for the base color and for details like eye's, brow's and so on, I used a micro brush and toned down on the thinner, I then highlighted the facial scars, shadows and red shading below and around evil Anakin's eyes with pastel chalk.
They're my very first attempts with head sculpts and painting tiny detail, I fogged my magnify goggles up a few times due to nervous sweat ;D

Thank you very much.
The Jar Jars were gifts from two separate nieces both on Christmas day, rather than having them both look the same, I dressed one using clothing from a damaged Hasbro 1/6 scale Anakin figure, to my nieces approval, she now calls him Darth Binky.
The lightsabers are a mix of Master Replia's, ForceFX and Kyberforge customs.
The Vader is a 2007 Master Replica which is smaller in size compared to the earlier 2003 release (more closer in size to the ESB version), the rubber hand grips on the hilt are also shorter compared to the 2003 where they touched the edge of the ring band below the activation switch.
The Mauls are also Master Replica's both with removable blades, the Anakin Saber is a ForceFX and the Dark Saber and Black Darth Maul are both Kyberforge customs.
Both the Dark Saber and Black Darth Maul have multiple sound fonts that you access by pressing/holding the on/off button for 3 seconds, both sabers have flash on clash and multiple LED which allows you to cycle through 7 colors via double pressing on/off button, and thanks to the dueling blades they're also heavy as f..k.
I'm only a novice when it comes to building model kits and I rarely keep what I build and usually just gift them away to friends.
Yes you are correct, mostly AMT/MPC/ERTL Fine Molds and Bandai kits with a few garage kits from various modelers thrown in.
I also dress up the cheaper Hasbro kits for fun just so they don't look so toyish. I customized this AT-ACT as a gift for a friend.
The Sith Acolyte mask is indeed from The Old Republic, I bought it and a Mortal Kombat Scorpion mask from a seller on Esty.
The full armor was a bit out of my budget so I just dress in my Darth Maul gear and wear an Acolyte robe.
The resin Millennium Falcon kit is about 10 years old, made from a lighter resin, it is cast in 1/48 scale by former SMT and mastered by the talents of Alfred Wong, a well known modeler in the modeling community.
If you have any other questions about my collection, I'll try answer them to the best of my knowledge.
Thanks again for your input.

That AT-ACT looks awesome! I bet that friend had a smile on their face when they received that.
Off to share to the front page.

Just bought this AT-ST to add to my growing collection, I will be giving it a complete repaint detailing it with some greebles.

............................................................................
Modding 1/6 scale Yoda figure:
Bought this lil' guy cheap, he has a nice head sculpt and the detailing is awesome.
Didn't really like the clean look of someone that's suppose to live in a 'slimy mud hole' so I modified him.
Firstly I stripped him down and bathed him in some warm soapy water and then I air dried him off.
I used some soft blu-tac to mold onto his eyes to avoid getting any wash or paint on them then mixed some light green and brown acrylic paints to achieve a darker tone, I thinned it with water to use as a wash.
I applied the wash heavily and used my heat gun to speed up the drying process then wiped away most of the excess leaving the wash in the wrinkled area's.
When I was happy with the tone, using a soft dry brush I applied a mix of colored pastels onto random areas to further create shadows.
I used cotton wool to achieve his hair by tearing apart a bundle of wool so it was all frizzy, applying some Tamiya extra thin cement on the areas of his head that I wanted hair, then dabbed the wool on before the cement had a chance to dry.
Don't worry if you add too much hair, once it drys you can pluck some of it off by use of model tweezers, try and pluck in an outward direction away from the scalp so it keeps the cotton wool standing on end all frizzy like.
Next I gathered the lower part of his robe into a bunch and used my scissors to snip away around the hem, I cut randomly in a random zig zag motion and frayed it so the edge of the hem would look worn and tattered then I weathered it with pastels focusing on the crease areas.
Weathered his walking stick with a mix of a thin brown and black wash.
I used a combination of light brown wash and soft pastels to weather his belt.
It's a huge improvement over what he first looked like, now not so toyish... I may add a touch more weathering to his robe but I think there is enough on there already, my camera just isn't picking it up.

............................................................................
Next mod: Hot Toys Sideshow Collectibles head swap.
I did a head sculpt swap on my second 1/6 scale Sideshows ANH Darth Vader, I'll go into detail of that another time because that was a huge time consuming job because the parts, limbs and connectors on both are completely different in shape and size and aren't swappable or compatible with each other.
Here's a comparison photo of the finished mod anyway.

Wow, that Yoda is off the charts great. Wow, so much better. Thanks for detailing the process. I look forward to seeing what you do with that AT-ST too. And the Vader looks great as well. All kinds of good stuff.
off to share that Yoda.

..................................................
I'm back after a bit of hiatus and loads of work, I haven't been doing much modifications lately but I have been snatching up a few Star Wars bargains on eBay (photos to come).
Come to think of it, I did do an update on a recent upgraded mod.
My 1/6 scale Hasbro Anakin to Darth Vader figure toy of which I hacked at, sawed, cut, trimmed, subtracted from and added too using 1/6 Sideshow Collectibles Darth Vader spare parts.
I love the Hasbro figure because of the electronics built into it, being able to play audio dialog from the movies of either Anakin or Darth Vader's famous quotes was it's biggest draw card for me.
In saying that, I decided to keep the figure in Vader mode only reason being that I already have two Anakin figures.
Here's the figure in all it's original plastic looking glory...
My plan was to mask, hide or remove as many of the pieces that made the figure look toyish and give him a completely new facelift, so the first thing I did was remove all of the clothing (which consisted of just the cape), shoulder armour and anything that wasn't glued or screwed down.
I knew what I wanted to achieve so I continued to measure and mark above and below his belt then used my hobby saw to make slots for his new tunic to slide into on both left and right sides of the moulded front piece.
Now using a philips head screw driver I removed all the screws that held the body together, there's a total of ten screws to remove which are located on the back of the figure, this had to be done to completely remove the head sculpt from the body and gain access to the activation switch that controlled both the Anakin and Vader modes.
After peeling off his sculpted hair which seemed to have a qazillion layers of glue holding it on, removing a further two more screws dismantled the remaining Anakin head sculpt.
Note: Removing the sculpted hair was tedious, plus you need to be careful that you don't accidentally tear the wires out from the switch that is secured on the inside by the two screws holding the head together.
Once completed, I wrapped a thin strip of tape around the box and over the switch to hold it into Vader mode then tucked it safely away into the body cavity.
Next I had to conjure up a makeshift neck and head connector for I had no spares long enough that would secure the new head onto the body, so... I used two shorter neck connectors, a double-ball end male neck connection and mounted a spring between them for added tension to avoid ending up with a floppy head.
I also mounted a spacer ring over one of the connectors to secure to the inside lip of the head sculpt and helmet.
I prepared the head, mask and helmet and did a dry fit to test.
After a few tweaks here and there with the helmet once I was satisfied all the connectors were in place and working as should, I refitted the armour, his new Sideshow Collectibles tunic and cape and I also dumped that awful looking broom handle of a Lightsaber and replaced it with a more streamlined tapered blade.
The new head popped on without issues and was a perfect fit for the connectors, the modified helmet (done recently) slid on with no troubles, electronics test, a bit of futsing around with the cape and tunic and he was complete.
I'm satisfied with his new appearance now that I rid of his toyish plasticy look, there's one part I'll need to revisit later on when I acquire the replacement piece (shoulder armour), the tunic wouldn't comfortably slip over the armour because the original part is too bulky... so he'll have to wear his tunic in ESB mode for now.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for your comments guys, much appreciate it.
Been a little busy with real world stuff recently spending three weeks in the USA (Cali & Vegas) and Hawaii on tour with the band I play bass in.
I've been home for a little over 2 weeks and during my downtime, started some updates on both my 1/6 Sideshow Anakin's, started on a modified 1/6 Sideshow Han Solo (Bespin version) and a 1/6 Hasbro Han Solo (Hoth version with Taun Taun), but I'll leave that huge post for another day... so mean while... I took on a much smaller modification.
1/6 Sideshows modified ROTJ Luke.
Accessories include:
1 Lightsaber hilt w/ ignited blade
1 Lightsaber hilt
1 Femur bone from Rancor battle
1 Force Wield left hand
1 Gloved right hand
1 Blaster damaged right hand
1 Lightsaber grip left hand
1 Lightsaber grip right hand
1 12-inch Figure Stand with C-shape clasp and Star Wars logo on the base.
Modifying 1/6 figures are now quite easy to do compared to when I first started, I had no clue where to begin which was a little nerve racking, but since my first couple of trial and errors, successes and failures, I now have my do's and don't's all sorted.
So it always begins with a complete strip down of the figure mainly to check it's articulation and joints for any faults or repairs that I may need to do.
It's also an ideal time to add any extra padding and filling if I think it's a little on the skinny side and needs to be buffed up.
After warming the neck area with my heat gun I then popped off the original Sideshows head sculpt (pictured on the left) to replace it with a Hot Toys version (pictured on the right).
The Hot Toys eye brows needed a bit of touch up and the face was a little too shiny so sprayed a mist of Testors dull coat over it to knock back the shine.
The Sideshows cloak seems a little small in size around the upper chest and shoulder area, the cloak refused to drape naturally and posing the figure in the ROTJ "Jabba's Palace" scene where he has it closed whilst standing over the Rancor pit was troublesome... since I couldn't achieve the pose I wanted I just positioned him holding his ignited Saber and Force Wield hand.
His belt is nicely crafted although it needed a bit of coaxing for it to buckle securely around his waist over both his Tunic and sash.
I know he doesn't wear his tunic like that but to avoid having it bunch up to the point where his belt wouldn't fit, I chose to cross overlap it so I could hook his belt on.
Wasn't completely happy with it, I sat and stared at the figure for ages trying to figure out what is up with that damned Tunic... for the life of me I just had to fix it, so after a second strip down and a further examination of his tunic I discovered that it had pleats on the back of it which keeps it from bunching.
I hadn't noticed it earlier and I honestly completely missed it because the material looked like it was ironed flat.
I folded the pleats following the faint lines where they supposedly meant to crease and presto, fixed it eliminating the cross overlap at the front and also relieving the stress on the belt buckle.
Quite one of the easiest mods I've done in a while where everything but the mysterious tunic pleats just fell into place, and I can finally sit back and say, another mod down and completed.
Cheers.

Good lord!
If I can forget about the stuff before, I’m still picking my jaw up after Vader
Your vision of refined perfection is exciting.
Luke turned out great

That Luke looks so much better.
Looking forward to your Hoth Projects.
Off to share your update.

..........................................................
Been messing around with yet another of my SSC 1/6 figures this time Padme and SSC Han Solo Bespin version.
Padme was first up.
Stripped her down of clothing to access the arms and head... the body is in good shape with no loose joints.
Changing the head sculpt was a mish because the neck plug didn't want to co-operate so I had to attack it with my heat gun.
Once the original head was off I proceeded to measure the neck length which seemed a bit too long so I used a shortened open end female plug just so the new head sculpt could slot further down over the ball end of the neck connector.
I opted not to use the balaclava with the new sculpt so I just left it loose around her neck which is also hiding the neck joint.
The next mod was to somehow shorten them chimpanzee arms of hers.
You can see they're way too long but that is the furtherest the gloves can go, I just couldn't push them any higher up on her arms
(https://i.postimg.cc/63nnKm2c/padme-4.jpg)
Upon removing them I found that there was a long connector inside each of her gloves that plugged into the arm sockets, using my modellers saw I removed about a quarter inch off of each arm then trimmed off about half of that from the connectors inside her gloves.
I had to be exact with my measurements so that I didn't remove too much of the arm or else I would have completely cut away the socket that the gloves plug into.
The arms look a lot better and not so chimpanzee any more, nothing else really needed modifying but I also want to scratch build her a better gun holster and belt, the one that she has is too big even for her laser pistol... I might even trim down them pom poms.
Happy with the mods especially addressing those arms.

Yep, definitely way better. Hats off to you.
Off to share.

This is a costume I had almost forgotten about. Your 1/6 scale Padmé looks beautiful! You achieved a vast improvement compared to the official release. Good job!
I'm still stunned by your collection!

Thanks Philipp, I quite like the look of this Padme outfit too.

Well, I did have a photo build log of my 1/6 SSC Bespin (with mynock) and Hasbro Hoth Han (with Taun taun version) Solo mods but thanks to a firmware update on my phone's OS, the folder with the pics got swallowed by the internet data monster so I only took a few shots of where they both stand at the moment.
The SSC body is surprisingly quite good, no loose joints or connectors.
Below is a photo of SSC Han still in box including accessories.
On the other hand, the Hasbro body is a complete mess, loose at almost every joint.
The SSC head sculpt was the usual tug-of-war to pop off but no biggie... his clothing and accessories are all in great condition although my only complaint with all SSC figures is that the footwear is always so stiff making the ankles almost unposeable, I wish SSC would use a softer material when making their boots.
The Hasbro head popped off very quickly and easily, the clothing is very good for a cheap toy but the accessories including the holster and blaster are made of a tough plastic and very toy like.
Got two head sculpts, one serious Sam, and one smiley Solo, I think I like the smiley version on my Bespin Han and the serious head on the Hasbro Hoth Han, also, the Hoth helmet and goggles are slightly a little on the large side for the new head sculpt.

Now, the Taun taun... Nice detail, good scale size but since it is hollow and made from a soft plastic all he wants to do is buckle up and lay down, so I'll have to conjure up some kind of mounting to peg his feet onto just to keep him upright.
Anyway here's some Han photo's, Hoth Han and Taunsy is still WIP (photo's to come).
Thanks for looking.
-
Oh yeah, much great improvements on that Bespin Han. Looking forward to seeing that Hoth Han in more detail too.
Off to share.

Hi guys n gals, it's been a while since my last post but I've been building now and then... my first update is my custom Anakins.
Bought a couple of unpainted 1/6 Anakin heads from eBay, started customizing them around the same time I was building my 1/144 Bandai Falcon (which I will post soon), didn't take much photo's of the head painting process but here's a few shots from painting the eyes for Anakin Sith.
This is my approach to the eyes...
Stage 1: First colour black/grey (x2 thin coats) for the base of the iris.
Let dry 30 - 45min.
Stage 2: Second layer colour 'fire red' (x2 thin coats) leaving a thin black outline of the edge of the iris.
Let dry 30 - 45min.
Stage 3: Third layer colour 'flat yellow' (x2 thin coats)
Let dry 30 - 45min.
Stage 4: dry-brushing (dabbing) red in the corners of the eyes and in the iris to achieve blood vessels and just to blend the red with the yellows and give the eyes some depth.
Let dry 20mins then clear gloss to lock in and seal the layers, let dry a further 20mins.
Stage 5: black/grey around the top edge of the eye lids to simulate shadows then add in the pupil which took me at least three attempts, one attempt he was cross-eyed another he looked like he had big puppy eyes LOL, hence the clear gloss coat so I could wipe away any mistakes and start over if needed.
Let dry 30 - 45min.
Final stage: seal the work with a clear gloss and let dry.
I enjoy painting head sculpts and I love the challenge of painting the eye's, my photo's always seem to mask the tiny details but he looks better in person.
I'm happy how this head turned out.
Cheers.

Base kit, Bandai 1/144 Millennium Falcon TFA model kit
308 Bits Shapeways parts:
Turret Well Windows set
Engine Exhaust Vents set
Cabin Cone (5 footer)
Laser Yoke and Laser Cannon set
Docking Rings set (5 footer)
(Optional) Radar Mount Base and Round Radar set (5 footer)
Electrics:
Tirydium Models TFA Millennium Falcon Lighting Kit SW-09
Kitbashed addons:
Electric Guitar D string for Landing Gear hoses
Extra fiber for Headlights and Caution lights
Parts excluded from the base kit:
Boarding Ramp D2-24,D2-25 and D2-26 parts
Turret Well Windows A15 and Cabin A14 clear parts
Engine Exhaust Vents F3 and F4 parts
Cockpit Cabin E1-24 and E1-2 parts
Landing Gear Covers A12, A13, A17, A19, A20 parts
Laser Canons F6 and F13 parts
Docking Rings F2, F5, E1-4 and E2-44 parts
Decals used:
Only applied the logo decals from the Bandai sheet and the red decal that goes on the front of the Cockpit Tube.
Everything including the panels and markings were painted with Archive-X enamels, weathered with mig oils Starship Filth, and Black (lightened), no panel or pin washes.
Warning this is the complete build so there will be many photo's following...
I primed everything with a flat black acrylic before hand and proceeded to add the damage using a dremel and a heat gun to bend some areas of the panelling.
I removed the original mounts for the dish replacing them with styrene tube so I could have the option to swap them out on display.
I used a spare guitar string to kitbash some of the hydraulic hoses on the landing gear, I bent the ends of the string to help anchor them into the holes then glued them in place.
Used my hobby knife to cut away a channel in the tabs to route the fiber strand for my mandible headlights.
I widened the opening for the battery compartment so I could mount the battery holder to the cargo lift cover.
Started painting the tiny details in the cockpit as well as the figures then masked off the nose cone ready for a base coat.
Installed the fibers in the back-wall and mushroomed the ends to prevent them from popping out, I then tacky glued them into place.
My plan for the battery holder worked just fine after applying some tacky glue which I also applied around the wire connections themselves for added strength.
Lighting test... I used only three of the four engine leds , the fourth will light the Mandible headlights and the red caution lights, I also opted not to use the original mounting and instead trimmed away the middle support pillar to use as the mount for the middle engine led.
Painted the details in the Gun-wells, drilled the mounting holes for the nano lights which are held in place with more tacky glue... after taking a look at my reference photo's I noticed the kit Gun-well controls didn't have the hose on the front console's so I kitbashed some using more guitar string.
Another lighting test before moving on to the next step.
I airbrushed a light layer of Archive-X reefer white base coat and continued to masked off the panels that needed to be painted.
More painting...
Preshaded the Mandibles and other areas.
I knocked back the panel colours with a mist of base coat then applied a clear gloss over everything ready for weathering stages...
Added damage and more predominant weathering to certain areas of the kit...
Started detailing the landing gear with rust and mig oils and also used a black Gundam marker to emulate chipping around the edges of the doors and under the feet...
More follows in next post...
-
Build log continued...
Applied the tiny decals everywhere then sealed them with a light coat of clear gloss...
Streaking with mig oils begins...
I dabbed a couple of spots of mig Starship Filth and black on the nose of the mandibles then blended with a soft brush.

Stage 1 of streaking completed on the top and bottom hulls...

Worked out the wire routing for my kit, I used some cable sleeving and heatshrink to bundle the fibers together... I also used tacky glue to mount the main lighting board to the lower hull... I used tin foil for light leak blocking in and around the engine area.
Weathering continues on the engine deck and exhaust vents, I didn't want to go too heavy on this area as I've seen some do... I used oils to discolour some of the panels then afterward layered a thin coat of Testors flat clear over the entire model.

Although complete., I feel I could have done certain things better (painting wise) but I went with the less is more approach and avoided the whole panel wash thing.
Nuff said, here is the completed model... photo's taken under warm lighting.

Hey everybody, hope all is well... I've been away for work and real life adult stuff and have had barely any time for my hobbies, but I'm back again with another mod addition to a previous mod on a couple of my 1/6 scale figures.
Anyway...
First up is one of my custom kitbashed 1/6 Sideshow/Hot Toys Darth Vader figures, I decided to give this guy an upgrade of lighted parts (chestplate & belt boxes) and also treat him to a nice brand spanking new TESB diorama stand with fancy little working lights (nope, I didn't build it) as well as suiting him up with a new Hot Toys body suit, tunic and cape.
Here's a before shot of Franken-Vader and some pictures of his new parts (chestplate & belt boxes) and his new stands.

Batteries inserted, powered on for lighting test... passed.

Vader stand 1.0

The Hot Toys cape and tunic update... although the Sideshows cape and tunic are great, I've always thought they looked kinda stiff and frumpy, they're also quite a mission to futz with for perfect posing. The Hot Toys (TESB deluxe version) on the other hand is a step up in quality, both the cape and tunic are beautifully made and drape very well due to their weight and the material they're made from which resembles a rayon like fabric.
Starting with removal of the head sculpt then a complete strip down of the figure and maintenance check on the body for any loose or damaged joints... with all the upgrade parts laid out I'm ready to start redressing this guy.
With the new body suit, vest with chestplate and cod piece on, I can now replace his tunic, belt, chest and shoulder amour, boots and gloved hands... the battery box for the chestplate is tucked away behind him which is mounted to the strap of his cod piece.
All that's left is to put his cape back on and pop on the head sculpt... and here he is all nicely upgraded.

It was quite a simple upgrade for I didn't have to do any major modifications, just and easy swap... next up is Luke head sculpt upgrade and swap.

Luke head sculpt upgrade & swap...
Bought a couple of head sculpts during my travels, a TESB 2.0 and a ROTJ Luke (both with movable eyes) for a minor upgrade on two of my 1/6 figures, one being the Bespin version of Luke and the other, well, I haven't decided on yet but the head sculpt that I will be replacing on Bespin Luke I will be swapping over to X-wing flight suit Luke.
Here are the head sculpts and the figures they'll be mounted on...

Started with the standard head removal and complete strip down of the Bespin figure, had my handy spare parts box ready for I had further modifications to tackle before I could mount the head. I had to change the neck plug ring so the head would fit, plus I also had to cut away a bit of the tension spring that holds the neck plug in place or the figure would've suffered from giraffe neck ;D
(https://i.postimg.cc/xTSL6jkT/luke-head-swap-2.jpg)
Here's an easy work around for installing boots over long trouser legs without them bunching up awkwardly at the brim of the boot...
What works for me is I pull the end of the trouser legs down so it covers the heel of the foot then tightly wrap it around the ankle (left or right, it doesn't matter) then as I slip the boot on, I turn it slowly at the same time in the direction of the trouser leg wrap, kinda like screwing on a lid, taking note of which direction the foot and the toes are facing so I can finally pop the foot into place...
Once done, you can rotate it back the opposite direction maybe half a turn to line your seams up, from there you can futz around with it to get it where you want.
After the redress on Bespin Luke, I then proceeded to swap out the head sculpt on the X-wing flight suit Luke with the head I removed from the Bespin Luke figure...
This was easy for it was only a matter of popping the old head off and plugging the replacement in, didn't have the need to strip this figure down for it was a simple task and even the body is still in solid shape so there was no maintenance needed on the joints.
All done and I'm happy how all the upgrades / head swaps turned out.

Thanks for looking.

What can I say? I like the thought of finding such quality headsculpts on your travel! You must've gotten around quite a bit recently! My guess: Japan?
No need to say it's good to see you back! When it comes to collecting action figures there is no higher level of those 1/6 scale masterpieces! (and I say that as a passionate 3.75" nerfherder)
Your work is most fantastic! Thank you so much for coming back with this massive update!
I'm going to share this with a friend of mine up in the North of Germany if I may.
Your collection is one full of unique treasures for sure!

I would love to visit Japan and nerd out, Japan is still on my bucket list ;D
My work had me spend 5 weeks in USA and 5 weeks in Australia with an overnight stay in Bali (been home 5 days)... the headsculpts had been ordered from an eBay seller in the USA during my time in Australia, I had them shipped to a friends address in the USA who then bought the sculpts along with her to Australia on her planned holiday, we just met up with each other whilst there in Aussie where she handed over the headsculpts to me as we hung out during my downtime.
The bases and stands were from an Australian eBay seller, I had those shipped to my nephews address in Australia and grabbed them from him once we met up in WA Perth.

I try to acknowledge the community for you are the reason I post because we all share the same passion for collecting, and hopefully sharing my tips and ideas on modifications and builds will help fellow kitbashers, plus I enjoy collecting action figures in most sizes, 3inch, 1/10, 1/6 depending on shelf space.
I have fellow nerdy friends whom I rarely see (maybe once or twice a year) that gift me small Star Wars figurines when ever we catch up, I've actually place most of those figures along the top of my TV ;D

Thank you Phillipp for your kind words, I don't mind at all if you want to share my post with your friend up in the North of Germany, I hope it will be helpful to them.

Thank you, yes that Bespin head is quite detailed and my favourite Luke head to date, these mods are becoming easier each time I do them :)
There's one little difference on Vader if you noticed it, it is the Vader shoulder pads.
The armour I am using is the ANH version with silver shoulder pads, the TESB shoulder pads are suppose to be black, I like the all silver look of the armour so I left it as is, I may paint them further down the line but for now I'm happy with them being silver.
Cheers

Vader looks very nice. Sideshow 1/6 Vader (neither version) were too accurate, but your work made this much much better

Minor update of my TESB Vader.
The Hot Toys cape consists of a double layer fabric which is ideal for my little experiment of adding a wire to it for some dynamic poses.
I wanted to attempt this with minimum effort and without modifying the cape or cutting any stitching.
Forgot to document with photo's so I'll try to explain the procedure the best I can.
I poked a tiny hole through the inside fabric just below the chain where it's sewn into the cape's neck band then slowly started feeding the wire along the seams hard against the inside edge being careful not to snag it on the cloth.
Be sure to feed extra wire so you'll have about 5 inches sticking out at both ends, you'll need it to finish off the wire wrap.
Once I fed enough wire through, I then bent it to the shape of the entire cape and wrapped both wire ends (the extra 5 inches) around the neck plug 3 or 4 times for stability, the wire loops are hidden inside the neck of his headsculpt out of sight.
I didn't use tape or thread so the wire is sitting loosely inside the cape, I was thinking of sewing a few anchors here and there to aid in keeping the wire in position along the edges but it seems to work okay how it is, plus I didn't want any weird looking or unwanted creases popping up along it's edge when posing the cape.
Here is Vader with his wired cape all completed and posed.

Thank you.
It is 15 gauge Multi-colored Aluminum Craft Wire that I bought off of Amazon, it seems like just the right thickness to hold the weight of the material.

Hope you all are having a very Happy Christmas!!!
I haven't posted for ages as I've had a few life changing events happen over the past 2 years during the pandemic which halted my hobby... anyway... a couple of new kits, statues added to my Star Wars collection. Apologies if I've already posted some of these in another thread (can't remember).
I don't play the game but I thought it would be a cool addition to my Star Wars stash! Not sure of the scale but she's 24.9/16 inches tip to tip in length by 8.1/4 inches in width at it's widest points.
1/72 Revell Razor Crest, this one has the cargo hold details, I think Round 2 released a 1/72 Razor Crest too but minus the cargo hold details however, the outer plating details are sharper than the Revell kit.
MPC Hoth Base Diorama kit, I bought this cheap on a local auction mainly for the Rebel Transport ship of which I plan on detailing.

1/1 Boba Fett prototype helmet, this was on sale real cheap so I snatched it up, I may or may not paint it.
1/6 scale Obi-wan Kenobi figure, bought this on a local auction for dirt cheap, the head sculpt looks real good for a Sideshow Collectible figure.

Cheers!

Hey man, it's good to see you back and I hope things are going well for you! Love your collection and you got some really neat additions, lately!
That ARMADA Super Star Destroyer is a very detailed model. If you look it up on Wookieepedia and measure the size of the model, you can easily figure out the scale with a calculator. That's what I'm currently doing with each n every angle of the Rebel Troop Carrier (http://www.imperialshipyards.net/SMF/index.php?topic=10165.msg231614#msg231614).
Revell's Razor Crest was a great choice, too! I have to look up that MPC Hoth Base. Looks so nostalgic and awesome!
And I'm glad that you got a good deal on the Prototype Boba Fett helmet. Those Black Series helmets are a new gold mine for Hasbro for sure.
Congrats to that Sideshow Obi-Wan! One of Star Wars' finest.
Thanks for sharing! It's always nice to celebrate our collections together.

Nice to see you back around. Man some nice additions too.
