Mattel has released a line for the new Disney/Pixar movie "Lightyear".
The main "Lightyear" line is 5" scale, so basically useless to me, but they are very well made. Decent articulation, lots of neatly applied paint apps and some very cool accessories. The truck can be useful for 4" collectors/customizers, but I doubt the smaller figures' feet could touch the floor of the cab.
I was tempted to get the 12" Zurg, but his goofy head turned me off. There is another 12" figure of Zurg's henchbot (seen on the back of Zurg's packaging) that I will pick up depending on how it looks when I see it in person.

Continued.

I could so see this being used for customs.

I think this line has tons of customizing potential.
Off to the front pages.
I can definitely see that ship getting sold out.
-
Saw this tonight at Target.
It is intended for 5" figures, but it is undersized and would be just about perfect for 3.75"/4" figures.
-
It does look about the correct size.
Off to the front pages.

There is a new 5" scale ship out!

Very nice Dan. You will see this on the front page soon.
Downloading high rez SDCC images now, and man my internet is awful tonight.

That's a great heads up, Dan! I'm customizing the XL-15 as a two seater for Star Wars, I'll have to keep an eye out for this one too,

I had a message on this ship last night. They were asking where you found it.
I answered New Jersey.
This is now on the front pages btw.

If anyone was waiting for the "Lightyear" "Test & Crash XL-01" to hit clearance, it has started.
Only at $25 (down from $31.98) at the moment, but it will inevitably go lower after the Holidays.

Already got it ;D

Nice intel, off to the front pages.
-
There is another "Lightyear" ship coming!
It is not labeled as such, but it is the XL-14 from the film.
We in the US still haven't seen the XL-07 at retail, hopefully it pops up at Marshalls or another close out chain this Christmas season.

Yeah, crazy we haven't seen the one.
At least folks have a reasonable shot getting this through EE if they want it.
