Artcle pertaining to the release, looks like a new site will be up Monday, read the article below
By Michael Sheridan
New York Daily News
Prepare for another trip along the Dark Side.
Lucasarts will be releasing a sequel to the successful 2008 third-person actioner, "The Force Unleashed."
Set for release in 2010, "The Force Unleasehd II" was announced at Saturday night's 2009 Spike Video Game Awards. It was accompanied by a short teaser trailer, showing the original game's main character, Starkiller, getting ready to battle a rather nasty - and big - creature.
The official website - www.unleashed2010.com - bears an image of Starkiller and a promise that "The Force Unleashed 2" trailer will be online on Monday.

The first one was successful?
-
I think so.
-
It was successful enough to add content 3 separate times, with the 3rd being an almost entirely new game, so I'm very curious as to what the 2nd version will be like. I enjoyed the first one, and will be picking up the Ultimate Sith Edition soon to play all those new levels.
-
Will we see a PC version of Force Unleashed II or is it only for consoles (PS3,Xbox 360)?
-
Here is a game trailer for FU2 that I found today.

i think the moster who kills that rancor looks like a mutant mother rancor i think
-
The first one was great, but to short. I hope this ones longer.
-
Yeah, it was a bit short. I found it really easy after you've leveled up a couple of times. Hey, has anyone seen the latest game add-ons in the xbox marketplace? I've been searching continuously, but i've still only found the Tatooine add-on. I really want to play Hoth and the last chapter!!!
-
The first one was successful?
I have to agree.
I thought the first game was a huge let down and totally over hyped.
-
Thank you :)

I agree. Too easy, as well.

The first one was successful?
It was, but success does not mean it is good, just that numerous people bought it. I quite frankly got frustrated with it several times. It's an okay game, but could have been better. The annoying glitches took away from the quality of the game. There was a glitch that would cause the game to cease to count your kills and hidden holocrons you acquired, preventing you from unlocking achievements/trophies on depending whether you're playing on the xbox 360 or ps3. I suffered from that glitch as well as getting trapped inside rock formations, and since you are required to defeat bosses in a finishing move animation, I was trapped on a level when I threw Kazdan Paratus off the stage, and he would not return ( he got stuck somehow). I had to reload, which was a pain. Upon completion of the level I saw in my kill count that my count for Kazdan Paratus was 2 (The counts carry over from 1 play to another). He was "dead," but as I mentioned, the finishing move is required.
I have only downloaded the 1st downloadable content. I did so, as it was 50% off. Yet, I still feel it was not worth the $5. I found it pretty boring. Unlike the main story, beating it on the highest difficulty does not yield you the achievements for completing it on the lower difficulties. Probably to make it last longer, as the thing is very short (can be done in 2o min if I recall correctly) , and you get more playtime out of it by having to complete it various times.
Here's hoping they learned from their mistakes on the first, and the second is better.

2? I thought he died or something in the first one... I never got past the first game. Just resently i picked it back up.
-
While I don't want to give away the entire plot (at least what I read), it appears as though Darth Vader "cloned" Galen Marek, which is how he returns in the new game. I guess we'll have to see how it plays out.

Youtube has some gameplay check it out:

I know there's already a board of The Forced Unleashed II, but I thought this needed its own board.

It looks like it should be a movie!

I did go ahead and merge these two topics. Trying to keep the forums organized as best we can.

Just heaqrd from my EB Games that the release was pushed up to late October. ;D
-
October 26th, as far as GameStop says. I have mine preordered so that I can get the exclusive silver lightsaber crystal and MaulKiller skin.
-
I just got a regular version let me know if u enjoy the limited edition.
-
The Demo for this game came out on 10/12/10, and I played it today and highly enjoyed it. Available for download on Xbox Live and presumably the Playstation Network, it's a quick download. You play what looks to be the opening sequence of this game. The animations are so crisp and flawless, it looks better than any cartoon. The gameplay is almost identical to the original game, so there are no surprises thus far. Force Rage is, however, new, and pretty wicked. If you haven't played the demo yet, download it for free and do so. The game hits stores on October 26th, and looks to be fantastic!
-
Ya the demo was great it seems all the collision bugs and akward camera angles were fixed, it really raised my expectations for this game, pickin it up tuesday. ;D
-
I got mine today and have played the first 2 levels already. Wow, is all I can say. Sure, there IS some repetition in the gameplay, but no more than any other action game of this genre. The visuals are amazing, the cut scenes even better. Some of the controls are easier this time around, such as the ability to grab a TIE out of the sky and crush it. I'm loving this game already!
-
Wow. Again. Though for a different reason now. I'm done. I finished it. Less than 8 hours of gameplay. Granted, I played the first time on Easy, but still. There are 4 and a half levels, and I say half because that portion is mostly movie cutscenes. You pick up some holocrons, talk to an old favorite, watch some more cutscenes, and then you're done. While long levels, I was sorely disappointed in content. The game was rushed way too fast. The first one had a lot more involved with it, more story, more levels, more scenery. While the graphics were stunning, as was the fluidity of gameplay, it just wasn't enough for the $60 I dropped on this game to be done already.
-
can safely say if i wasnt a star wars fan i wouldnt look art it. But can also sadfely say as a star wars fan the game was SHITE

Hey pat me too, i buy it yesterday and i finish it today, the game rushed to fast really, I´m totally agree with you the first one was a lot a lot more involved, more levels, and more long, i also think when you re upgrading powers they need more levels in yhis one for power re only 3 levels its kinda short, the graphics, the cutscenes re probably the best ones, i played on medium difficulty for start and wasn´t difficult for me, by the way i played on ps3.
-
I beat the game in 4 hours...maybe 5? The creators promised they had fixed the Targetting problems: they didn't. The story isn't even very good. Is he a clone or isn't he? By the end I didn't even care! And what is up with not fighting Boba Fett. They hyped it up to make it seem that you would be fighting him and then....he just makes a brief appearance? BS! The gameplay was all repetative too. They added in Mind trick and chaos or whatever it was called....nothing special there, gave you an extra lightsaber(no big deal), and allowed you to crush TIE's into cubes. Big deal. My roommate payed $60 for this game and all I can say is that I'm glad I didn't pay for it. It's a renter/not a buyer.
-
You know I blasted this game due too how much I hated the first one.
But I found this game to be very very fun, short, but it was a great game and I loved replaying it.
-
2? I thought he died or something in the first one... I never got past the first game. Just resently i picked it back up.
Yes he does die, but a clone of him is the player character. This game was awesome, I have it for Wii and I felt really bad for the rancor. This game needs only one thing, more Boba Fett and bonus missions as him, like where he kills the gorog. (Read his bio)

As said in some of the previous comments I was also pleased with the visual effects and the game play. The quality of the graphic effects is good. But I was massively disappointed by the weak story which was not creative and very...strange. It's so sad that great characters (ESPECIALLY VILLAINS) die WAY to soon in STAR WARS...it often seems that LucasArts or Lucasfilm realized that, too, but it often is too late - that's why they have to resurrect characters like Darth Maul...and in TFU II it gets ridiculous...if they run out of good villains they should take good care of them and consider their appearence and role carefully...I mean Phasma was just a joke in TFA...that's why she had to respawn in TLJ, right? I will probably never watch it...
The fact that Hasbro paid so much attention to TFU still impresses me to date. There is no other Star Wars videogame that ever got more attention and dedication than The Force Unleashed...I really enjoyed the first part - got all action figures of it, too, but the second part was a bummer.

Funny you mention this game. Me and my daughter were dueling on this during a snow day a few weeks ago. I haven't played the storyline through yet. Sounds like I am not missing much.

All kinds of right. I'm still playing these ports on the DS and it feels exactly like that. I had watched all the cut scenes a few years ago etc. Soo I already know what the story is.... Snooooze fest...

I played through The Force Unleashed for the third time the last three days and found a pretty neat easter egg...it's been a while and I've never paid that much attention to details before - at least in this game. It was much fun! Collected some neat ideas for future customs, too!
Jar Jar has become part of Captain Ozzik Sturn's private collection on Kashyyyk... ;D

I also recognized that some details (like vehicles -> Hailfire Droid wheels!) are slightly oversized in the game, but I can well live with that!
