I've got some W.I.P pics of it so far, here they are!
-
Looks like it is gonna be an amazing custom Helix.
-
awesome! is this idea from TFU?
-
awesome! is this idea from TFU?
no, its an original idea i had for an AT-ST that can hang out and be a kind of moble precicion artillery, a sniper equvilant for heavy armor
-
Just did some paint on my custom AT-ST, here are some shots of the progress.
-
Looking very cool so far! can't wait to see more!
-
i like the yellow on the larger gun, very cool!

Ron

man I realy want to get myself one of these buggers and customize it... yours is looking great helix.
-
Looking great! Can't wait to see the rest.
-
Very nice work, Helix! Other than Wayne's foot swap, this is the first custom that I have seen of the new AT-ST and it is going to turn out stunning, from the looks of things. Can't wait to see it finished.
-
Now thats what I am talking about! On the front page even though its not finished. I sure hope we see an at-at one day too.
-
Lookin' good!
I love anything with big guns!

-
Holy moly is that cool looking! Dude, I love all of the physical additions and your markings are top notch. Is that freehand stuff on those markings?
-
Excellent job on a great vehicle.
What exactly does it say in Aurubesh?
Looks like it fits the role you created perfectly.
-

it says everything that is listed on the original post exept the "armor division" part
-
that is an amazing piece of work helix. after seeing your wip pics of this I decided to break down and finally get an atst of my own. Now I don't even want to try and customize it cuz I know it'll be nowhere near this good. I'll probably just try and make mine more screen acurate....
-
Mate this is bloody awesome, the weathering is amazing and the guns really suit this AT-ST and totally love the art work. 10/10.
Ron
-
Wow! That is one awesome AT-ST! I love tha added guns and the symbol you painted on it.

"I J*zzed in my pants!"
Awesome work!
-
what a great custom vehicle! i would like o own one of my own, too bad tht the At-st is so over prized in Sweden! Looks absolutely awsome, that you can rotate the cannons =) great work!
-
Awesome job!! this rocks and I love the art work on the side!!
-
Holy hell I just can't get over how awesome this AT-ST looks mate! I need to go change my underpants. LOL
-
Thanks all of you for the comments and praise, i'm really surprized it turned out as wel as it did myself. i think that i,ve found a new niche in the custom vehicle area, but i still will be doing figure customs as well. I'll be posting some more shots of the AT-ST later tonight.
-
dude that is AWESOME! the decal is perfect!
-
I know one thing, I love everything about it. The firepower, paint job, custom graphics on the side, everything. If they do release a new atat we keep hearing rumors of I hope you give it a similar treatment. I know one thing, I have a potf2 walker if you want a test subject. This atst was just over the top.
-
how about an I.M.P.S. AT-AT nose art job?
-
how about an I.M.P.S. AT-AT nose art job?
Wow, you read my mind. Wouldn't this look sweet, with some side door gunners like Ron Hemble created and some rapelling snowtroops like Spuda Fett has just created along with a few drivers of his too in the ole cockpit? Oh I do get ahead of myself sometimes.
Please Helix I am just thinking out loud here as I do that when I see something I really like like this new atst custom. I promise not to jack your thread with my little whimsies.

To quote a certain song...
"I J*zzed in my pants!"
Awesome work!
I just opened this thread and I j*zzed in my pants!
lol thelonelyisland is awesome
Great job on that AT-ST Helix! It definetley looks like it just came from the factory, and those freehand markings just make it even better! You've got great customization skills and artistic ability. I can't wait to see what you unveil next.
im on a boat mother ....er incredabad oh yeah
-
Ok i finally had some decent sunlight out so i snapped some new shots of my AT-ST
-
nice pics dude!
-
This one looks to me like it is right out of IMPS. Boy I like this custom.
-
That looks sweet!
-
Helix that is awesome.
-
Helix... if it was possible to fall in love with a toy... your at-st would be my soulmate. I love this thing, from it's added firepower, to it's custom graphics... it drips awesomeness.
-

LOL thanks Spud my next one will be even better hopefully
-
It's amazing how much better the AT-ST looks with some paint on it. Don't get me wrong, it's a great toy...but the flat finish, weathering, and graffiti you've embellished it with really brings it up a notch. And I love it when people use the Aurebesh lettering for adding text to vehicles and figures...brilliant work.
-
Yes exactly what Glorbes said and as I said earlier it is awesome!
-
Totally superb sir. Thats it screw it im getting one today emm maybe tomorrow its late.Anyway great job man love it!!!!!
-
Nice shots, Helix! I love the positioning of the figures in the shot where the atst is squatted down.
-
nice at-st!!!!
-
man that sandspeeder looks really really good!!! :o ;D
-
Ok heres some shots of the finished extirior of my "Sandspeeder", a 1997 snowspeeder that i modified, repainted, and scratch built a cannon.

Top notch work there, Helix! Your fab skills are only matched by your paint. What a fabulous way to upgrade your old speeder.
You need a little desert hanger viginett to put this one in.
I see a bright front page story in your future.
-
Awesome work Helix! I love your sand speeder, very well done. Good idea only using one gun, looks cool. I love the paint job and decals you used.
-
awesome ! lovin that sandspeeder
-
WOW!!!!!!!!!! That looks great! Awesome paint apps and weathering!
-
Your Sandspeeder looks perfect Helix.
One of your best creations in my opinion.
excellent job
10/10
-
Looks great! This bad boy looks like it belongs in the deep deserts of Tatooine!
-
Looks great! This bad boy looks like it belongs in the deep deserts of Tatooine!
thats what i was going for with it. i wanted to do the polar opposite of a snowspeeder, so i thought: snow-sand, hoth-tatooine
-
lol but... wouldn't that be redundant since the speeders were "modified for the extreme cold" to begin with....
::)
sorry, I still can't get over that.
I saw this on deviant art first and couldn't wait to see you post it here. This is simply awesome. I love the repaint. it's simple and effective and yet I know it wasn't simple to do at all. I love the single blaster and modified engines and shield generator. I love the small tan accents... I love it all. Great job!
-
Helix, I'm sorry it took me a few days to get this on the FP, but I told all of the other admins to lay off this while I did some artwork...
This is an absolute gem of a custom, you're on the FP!

Thanks Jules! thats awesome i'm going to post some detail shots a bit later and am still working on pilot /gunner figs for it, so keep checking back in on this thread
-
Awesome work on the speeder and At-St.
-
I think it makes perfect sense - just as the flame thrower troopers of geonosis look just like the cold weather troopers from Orto Plutonia, the same insulation often works in hot versus cold environments!! VERY VERY nice work!!!!! O0
-
Alright then, i've been in the process of moving and attending classes for the past 5 weeks or so but am happy to report that in the time i have made a swamp speeder, pilot, and gunner. pics of all coming soon ;D
-
Sweet! Can't wait to see that. Expect fp treatment when the pics show up.
-
awesome! :)
-
how?? have i missed this thread of PURE AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
-
OK, here she is, the "Dagobah Special"! pics of the pilot and gunner coming to my figure thread.
-
okay..now that is cool
-
to echo the clones ... that is cool ;)
-
it looks like it'd be right at home in a jungle or swamp of dagoba! I love the color choices and as usual the paint is crisp and nicely weathered.
-
great snowspeeder
-
Just as spuda said this would look great in a swampy orwoodland setting. Very nice paint aps and weathering.
-
Very nice paint job man, amazing weathering too!
-
Wow! that's a great look for that snowspeeder, Helix!
-
Man, I love this new sculpt. And the paint job is superb also. It's always so alien..for me, at least when I see a different paint scheme on the snow speeder..only cause we saw it in one environment in The Empire Strikes Back, but it makes sense that these would have been a multi purpose vehicle.
Nice job on this one, kinda makes me want to go out and grab one for myself.
-
awesome! its Swampspeeder MarkII ;D
-
here are some higher rez pics of the swampspeeder

Sweet swampspeeder man! :o
-
Excellent indeed.
-
Like the high res pics, Helix. This is a great looking speeder!
-
Nice!
-
Wow, that looks great. Look for it on our fp soon.
-
Helix, you have done a superb job on that speeder, I absolutely love the colour scheme...
-
Oh man, loving these new pics! That is a sweet repaint of the vehicle!
-
Nice speeder.
-
really cool swamp speeder
-
WOW!!!
That swamp speeder really pushes the boundaries of what my brain can handle!!!
I mean for 30 years I have only thought of it as a "snow speeder".
But, it could be used in any enviroment. I just never thought of it before.
I have to go re-examine the last 3 decades of my life...
-
Very nice work. Nice detailing on the speeder engines.
-
so , wheres this forest at st ? you made the pilot for it ages ago ?
-
so , wheres this forest at st ? you made the pilot for it ages ago ?
i had to postpone that idea when the pilot go chewed up by my parents dog, i need to get a hold on another atst as well
-
ahhh , okay
-
OK! I need some ideas, i got my hands on another AT-ST and would like you guys to throw out some ideas about what i could do with it!
-
I would like to seen one given a Tatooine deco. Sandy color scheme, good bit of weathering including rust, additional packs added to sides, storage area for Sandtrooper Backpacks.
-
Sand deco at-st's have been done before... although knowing you helix you'd blow the thing out of the water and make it uber-awesome...
What about a fully decked out forest cammo walker complete with a "guile-suit" type covering?
OR...
aquatic/beach at-st? some kind of blend between a water and sand deco?...
or....
anti-aircraft AT-ST with large missile lauchers of somekind (maybe from a hell-fire droid?)...
-
Well if you look at it that way, what hasn't been done before. Tom, Clonesniper78 has done some amazing AT-ST mods. Including the jungle version with guile suit covering and he added tank tracks to one rather than legs for one of the coolest versions I have ever seen. Good luck with whatever route you take Helix!
-
Underwater AT-AT?
-
What if you used the body as the cockpit of a ship? Give it some TIE wings and use the feet as landing gear.
-
Underwater AT-AT?
I was thinking along those lines but I couldn't envision what might be possible...
you could do something like the at-at swimmer...
-
There is a comic that has a picture of one in it. I need to see if I can find a reference picture for it, but it looked cool. I think it was when Darth Krayt was going after the Mon Cals. I think.
-
How about a smaller atat walker platform with two atsts joined together, both sets of legs facing forward and the rear head facing behind? Allow a bit of room in between so the heads could still rotate and if desired face and fire the same direction.
-
I think you should do like an ocean blue color and then add some finns to the top of the cockpit but I don't mind if you don't do mine ti's only an idea.0
-
I like the "Ugly" idea. I think it would look neat w/ treads...kinda like a tie-crawler. There is a new GI Joe vehicle that is a treaded tank-thing that the control station raises up...that would be cool looking with an AT-ST cockpit. And BIG guns.
-

that's already been done, and it somewhere here on the forum in Clonesniper78 vehicle thread I believe.
-
Maybe combine the head of the AT-ST with the body of an Imperial Shuttle, or the Clone Wars Republic Shuttle/Playset?
I think it could look really good as the head/front of a ship of sometype, rather than parts underneath it.
-
Ok, i got the interior of the AT-ST pretty much done, the thing was a pain in the ass to get out of the main body

-
WOW! That is looking sweet! Did you make the decals?
No, I just painted around the existing ones.
-
got some work done on the AT-ST I've been working on and settled on a night/adverse conditions variant. i was missing the hatch and eye covers on it so i had to figure something out with styrene and a PotF walker hatch. a basecoat of gunship gray and we're rolling again.

-
Ooooh, I love a vehicle mod! Looking great so far, can't wait to see more!
-
Very nice. On the front page.
That cockpit detial is over the top.
-
Excellent work! Loving these babies! That AT-ST would look awesome blasting away at the Sandalorians on Tatooine. Amazing cockpit! Where'd you get that little scroll of text from?
-

I think it's from a decal set from a 1:48 scale weapons set for model aircraft, I painted a small square of plasic gloss black then put the decals over the top of it
-
took a break from the AT-ST to whip up a ship for my spacer figure, its a repainted and modded GIjoe "black dragon VTOL"let me know what you think! more pics to come

Awesome!
-
very very cool!!
-
Thats sweet!
-
Wow, I bet I know one story that will be on the fp tomorrow.
-
Very cool Helix.... love the weathering job on her. Did you mod anything on her?
-
I would consider that a great improvement. Nice job!
-
Man, that vehicle is awesome! Is it new? I have never seen it before. Very nice work on the paint and weathering! I LOVE that first shot with the storage compartment!
-

the cockpit was originally one peice with no window, and i also changed the way the tail fins hooked on
-

it showed up at a local smiths marketplace about 6 months ago, and i only recently picked it up. i was dissapointed in its cockpit more than anything, it was a one peice "armored canopy" as hasbro called it i just thought it was lazy, the interior was also pretty blah so i put the control console from the Xanadu blood in there to mak it look better
