Title: Painting joints

I don't know if anyone else has faced this problem but, if I paint a ball-hinged joint on a figure the paint is scraped off when the joint is moved and I was wondering if anyone knew a solution to this.

thats why Hasbro doesnt paint them ;)

It's tough, really.  What I usually do is paint them and take a razor blade and cut along the joints so that the paint is not one solid sheet.  Then I move the joint and wipe/scrape away any paint that roughs up and repaint the joint carefully where the paint has been taken off.  It takes quite awhile, and many rounds of this, but eventually it comes out decent.

Mate there are a few options you can do and Phatty has named one the others are as follows.

1: after you paint teh joint use a toothpick and slightly add some super glue to it and wipe around the solid joint. Be careful not to get any in the seems or you won't be able to move the joint, once the glue has dried repaint over it and you should be good to go.

2: get the figure you want and cut one side of the joint and remove it from the joint it self. Once removed sand the  area where you belive it will scratch the paint off and once you have another of the area removed replace the arm /leg and paint over the area you sanded.
