Title: Narthax's Customs
Post by: halnarthax87 on May 31, 2011, 08:58:00 PM
Hi everyone! A friend on deviantart suggested I check out your forums and join up. From what I've heard everyone here is real nice and supportive. I've been customizing figures for years but I've only just started anything ambitious. I figured I should start with this one, I'm pretty pleased with it. This is Marka Ragnos (In ghost form), an ancient Sith Lord who also appeared many times in the Expanded Universe. This figure is based off his image in Jedi Academy. I assembled him from a few Palpatine figures and some lego parts. Hope you enjoy.

Title: Heir to the Empire Customs
Post by: halnarthax87 on June 01, 2011, 04:59:09 AM
After years of continuation in the Star Wars world, , my favorite EU series remains the Thrawn trilogy. Here are a few customized characters.
Thrawn's new figure was cool but some things about it bothered me. He's supposed to be a fairly tall imposing guy and they made him the size of a... noghri. This one uses one of the governor Tarkin bodies repainted, and with the epaulettes thrown in.
Mara is a simple repaint with her cape added on.
C'Baoth is an Obi-wan body with an altered Ki-Adi Mundi head.

"Don't get cocky, kid!" Haha that's a great take on Marka! I love the ancient Sith Lords! Nothing spookier than a dark lord who can kill from beyond the grave! Seeing this on the front page I asked myself "are those lego chains?" nice use of lego parts on a more realistically done figure! Not an easy feat!

Welcome to the forums! May the Yards be with you :)

Oops, I forgot one other key figure from the Thrawn trilogy... and now the Force Unleashed. The great, the proud, the unforgettable Garm Bel Iblis.

And I suppose it's just a head swap, but it's a funny little scene since Julian Glover was both Veers and Donovan from Indiana Jones III.

Title: Solo Twins
Post by: halnarthax87 on June 02, 2011, 05:08:46 AM
It's those loveable Han and Leia spawn... before one turned evil and got killed by the other. Life kind of screws you that way. It frequently does to anyone of Skywalker decent.
Jaina is made with Deena Shan's body repainted and Marion Ravenwood's head.
Jacen is an imperial knight body painted black and uses the head of Janek "Tank" Sunber.
