I really liked the idea of Spry & company's Star Wars Apocalypse, and anyone who has seen my flickr knows I love green. So I decided to come up with a SW 'verse that allows me to do both. It's kinda a mix of SW Apocalypse meets the show 'Lost' (as lame as that sounds lol)
During the clone wars, the 313, was a small army of various clone troops under the leadership of one Jedi general who were charged with seeking out Outer Rim planets that may come to be of interest to the Droid army. Planets rich of metal ore, strategic launching points, etc. It is a force made up of clones with skills ranging from combat, engineers, medics, construction and more. When you are going onto an unfamiliar planet and have no idea how long you'll be there, it's best to be prepared.
After a successful occupation and colony setup, the 313 prepared to jump to there next target planet. The republic designated there target, planet MEM13. After receiving there new target planet, they were preparing to make the jump to lightspeed when members of the droid army appeared. They were instantly under an onslaught of firepower just as there ship entered the jump. As a result, something went horribly wrong. They came out of lightspeed and directly entered into the tail of a large comet. The debris was fierce. Coupled with the damage from the droid army there was no hope. There ship began to come apart as they entered the atmosphere of the planet they believed to be MEM13.
The crash killed most of the 313 and virtually all the ships crew. There Jedi general was also killed and his padawan fled into the jungle, -a mix of injury, hysteria and madness. Nevertheless, the 313 did what they have been trained to do. They set up a base of operations, they began to look for the reason they were sent to guard MEM13 or Memfrica, as the survivors are calling it, and they began to find a way of the rock.
What they don't know is that they are not on planet MEM13. What they don't know is that they are no where near planet Memfrica. What they don't know is that the Republic believes that the 113 are dead and that no one is even looking for them. What they don't know is that the survivors are on there own.
The 313 is completely alone. Cutoff from the Republic, cutoff from the war. They have limited resources and know nothing about the planet they are are on. The 313's new goal is simple.
Survive.
But there are more than just jungles to Memfrica. The question is... will the survivors, in fact, survive?
Known to the survivors as 'Chips', due to the crude hardware used in his prosthetic limb -post crash. Chips is truly gifted ARF trooper. Still uneasy and embarrassed by the microchips and metal that make up his new arm, he is nonetheless a excellent scout and frequently goes out alone for long periods of time to scout the new planet of Memfrica that the survivors now call home. His new arm does have one advantage, it allows him to wield a custom built and very heavy blaster, which power is unmatched.
Chips is vital to the survivors. But will his tendency to go out great distances, alone, be his undoing?

Hmm..., interesting. Sounds good, looks good, and has a Star Warsy feel. Nice Job.
-
Looks like a rough and ready veteran to me. I like the arm work.
-
Do it up! I like the idea of clones cutoff from the rest of the galaxy. MORE!!!
-
Very cool concept!!
Very cool figure!!!!
great job!!!
Would love to see more!!!

Nice one, I did find some internet at home to get this on the fp!
-
He looks like he's been to Hell and back and is looking for some more.
-
Very nice work DG! I really like the look of that arf! Also glad you have been inspired by our little project. The weathering is awesome as well!
-
Very cool. I definitely want to hear more. Story has me hooked.
-
Nice job! I was a fan of the show LOST an I like this idea. Can't wait to see more!
-
Great figure and awesome idea for a story! I look forward to hearing/seeing more!!!

Outback

Duke

What if? Luke Skywalker, Agent of the Empire
I had an extra Luke and wanted to put my own spin on it. Basically what if Vader didn't intervene in ROTJ and after enduring some force lightning, Luke gives into his anger and joins the dark side.
I know, it's kinda fan boyish, but get over it! ;)

no way,he looks awesome, any concept theory of a figure is welcome in my book, heck,Hasbro has even done a few.like the PIP shot of him,how did you manage that?
-
Very nice! I would like to see him without the labcoat though.
-
Great stuff!! I really like Chips!! ;D
-
Dirty, I love Outback and Duke! They look like character designs for a modern TV series! Very well done. I also like your idea and concept for Luke! I just don't think the trench coat fits the character and his universe. I think a robe would fit better or just remove the coat.
-
It's bantha leather! ;) I'm actually going to make a few more alternate bodies Luke.
-
wow, cool, good to see that your baby is hungry and keeps you inspired ;D
very classic Joes, love those kind of outfits and Agent Luke - WOW!!
-
Glad to hear all is going well with the new addition. They sure don't come with instruction booklets thats for sure!
Great figures all the way around. On the front page. I like the idea of the What If Luke too.
-
Thanks guys!
Well since my son, Foxx, refuses to sleep at night, I've been able to bust out a couple figs a night. Although I am dreading it when I have to return to work in a week in a half....
Memphis
Born a gifted athlete, Memphis, quickly became a rising young MMA star. But the ghetto streets are like quick sand, they always bring you down. Memphis joined the Bloods and quickly succumbed to a life of gang banging and drug abuse. After a meth lab explosion left his face horribly scarred, he left the streets in search of something more. After listening to a speech by someone calling himself, Cobra Commander, Memphis joined Cobra and fell into the ranks as a dreadnok. As skilled as he is crazy, he's a handful for any Joe.

Cool Joes!
-
Nice joes indeed!
-
A new guy that joins the Joes.
I got the idea from the movie, The Italian Job and the character Handsome Rob. I like the idea of a joe who thinks he's soooo cool and who all the rest of the team makes fun of. LOL

I love your custom Joe's.
-
DG - they are all awesome, but that Luke is killer!! Luke is my favourite character and I'd buy that version in a heart beat!!
-
They're all killer! All have a lot of Character appearances and that is what I like about customs!
-
WOW! These latest additions are great! I would buy each one of these if they were hanging on the pegs!
-
I've seen the Joe line, and love them to Death and have thought about picking up a few of my faves I.E. Cobra Vipers, but I can't have too many collectables or I wouldn't have a home lol.I made a choice to just stick with star wars figures for now, even though I look at the Joe figures on the shelf wanting to give in and buy them.my point is that I couldn't tell what you've done to them because I don't know the line all to well,so that's my bad :-\ ,but they look like they would be hanging on the pegs at my local wally world, and that's a good thing ;D.so great job.
-
Nice Blood Dreadnok. Do you think you might do a Crip Dreadnok? Blue is always a good color for things. :)
-
Love that new Dreadnok, on the front page.
I would love to have you as a guest on our podcast called Custom Action Figure News. Please tell me you will think about it!
