You all know I've been working on my own take on Speedlee's excellent Wolverine (that cigar is just such a wicked detail).
Well, here are some pics of him, making it my first step in the world of customizing Marvel Legends :D

Incredible job on the figure and base!
Damien.
-
Wolverine! One of my non-sw favorite characters. Like how looks with that cigar. ;)
-
Wow Remco,
I can't wait to put this on the front page. It is among the finest Marvel Customs I have ever seen.
Love the maskless cigar pose, heck I like it all.
-
this is dope, absolutly fantastic figures!!!
-
Thanks guys, glad you like him!
-
I commented on Facebook but missed you here. As I said great work and yes the cigar is just awesome!
-
That's one of the best if not the best Wolvie I've ever seen! :o
-
Very nice. That sure captures logan's attittude.
-
Much oblige fellas! Gonna present him to my best bud soon. Already told him this one would be his and he was quite excited :)
-
I didn't plan to start these before December, but since I had a batch of Fixit mixed, I thought what the heck and took a Ki-Adi Mundi head, sanded the sides and rear smooth and voila! Early WIP shots of the head sculpt for the Brothers, featured in the ultra cool video game Afro Samurai.
For reference, I turned to the wonderful galleries of CreativeUncut.com:

HA Ha Very cool Incom!

Cool stuff. On the front page. Gonna use it to remind everyone to get thier burning questions in as tonight is the interview.
-
Very Cool! ;D
-
Bro amazing work as always but I wouldn't expect anything less from you.
Ron

Update on Afro Samurai. Still defining the shape of his big ol' 'fro, but couldn't resist adding the texture to it. Front and back need to be expanded, loose strands will be added in the end.

Loving the Afro mate and the texture you've added is excellent.
Ron
-
Wow, looks great to me. On the front page.
-
Cheers, Ron and thanks for the FP mention, Shawn O0
-
Great sculpting work on this, Remco! I can tell that you are having fun with this one.
-
I see I haven't posted this project of mine here yet. I'm a huge fan of the Darksiders game (and am looking foward to the new one very much!) and this here fella is one favourite character from that video game.
Ulthane is an Ancient One and basically the smithee of Heaven and Hell ;) I've been working on him for a year now, but looking back he's come a pretty long way since I started.
This is the reference pic I'm working from:
Using a MU WW Hulk body and Juggernaut legs I went from this:

To what you see here:

If you're a fan on Facebook, you've probably seen the progress already, but feel free to browse the photo album in case you haven't:

Freakin amazing work bro I just love your sculpting work.
Ron
-
Hey Incom, you are taking a quantum leap forward in your customs. Your attention to detail is always impeccable and now with the sculpting your creativity knows no boundaries. I am seriously impressed bud!
-
Totally awesome, can't wait to see more progress on this guy!
-
Wow Remco. This guys looks like he could hammer you into oblivion. On the front page.
-
That´s absolutly brillant man!

Over at ProCustomizers.com Jazzman inspired me to jump right in and make my very first TF custom a reshell project. And while I was off to a flying start, I feel I kind of stranded in sight of the finish line. I had to abandon the transforming process, because of room issues in the rear wheel wells. That's okay, though, since most Transformers are displayed in bot mode anyway.
But in the end I fell short of skills in the decal and airbrushing departments. I just couldn't get the decals nice enough: they're really dark grey and have "ghost" edges. Don't know what it is, but it's something I'll have to keep in mind in the future. And while my Tamiya gloss black went on very smoothly, the gloss varnish has this fine sandpaper like structure :(
Still, it clearly resembles my brother's Mini Cooper and I hope he'll like it. Despite the setbacks, I had a blast working on a Transformer and I've been stockpiling on those ever since I started this project!
So, here's Bumblebee as a Mini, dubbed "Coop"!

You can see all of the WIP shots on my FB page (http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.197619780276329.39801.197614093610231&type=1) ;D
-
Well maybe its just me Remco, but I am not seeing the flaws you are mentioning. I bet your brother will love this!
On the front page.
-
Awesome!
-
Thats awesome!
-
Thanks fellas! I'll present Coop to my brother this Saturday.
-
Thanks fellas! I'll present Coop to my brother this Saturday.
Be sure to let us know what he thought. I am having a hard time waiting on the postman to deliver my atat gal. I can't wait.
-
Patience, Shawn. In time sheee will come to theeee < hissss puffff > In my experience it takes mail to the States longer to arrive than mail from the States :)
-
My brother is quite fond of my gift to him. He actually thought it was some sort of limited Hasbro edition and was quite surprised when I told him I made it myself :D
Anyway, I'm getting back into the swing of things. Speaking of swinging, how about a hammer that'll make Mjolnir look like a Playskool toy?
And here's an update on my Afro Samurai project:
First attempt using the crumpled tin foil ball technique:
Second attempt, using a technique pointed out to me by fellow customizer Jimster:
And two Brother headsculpts:

Mate the paint apps on TF is amazing and I can't wait to see these figures painted up, they looks brillant already.
Ron
-
Sorry Remco, somehow I missed this last post. All of your sculpts are looking great! Can't wait to see some paint on all of these!
-
I have to apologize too. I missed this update. Time to take it to the front page. I like that new hammer on Ulthane Remco.
-
Man... Remco - I'm glad this made it to the FP, or I would've missed all this greatness - Luvin' all of these man...
-
This is looking great and I can't wait to see them painted up. O0
-
Hey guys, no problem and many thanks for the feedback ;D Been away on weekends off and other real life things, but I'll get back in customizing mode again soon enough.
-
Here's an update on Ulthane's hammer and Death's scythe. I'll have to think about how the scythe looks, I might just start over again, concerning the head. The blade looks good to me.

-
Wow Remco, that Ulthane look so daggone tough. That scythe turned out great too. I am off to the front page.
-
Ulthane look's so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
-
Thanks guys! Yeah, Ulthane's not to be messed with. Darksiders 2 is due out mid August, already pre-order the supah dupah special collector's edition!
-
It's been a while, but I've completed creating Ulthane's hammer. Completely scratch built using styrene, Fixit sculpt, a real chain and I will add a couple of gem beads after painting is done.

I noticed my previous pictures don't show up anymore. I guess hotlinking Facebook pictures only lasts so long.... :s
-
Well I know one update that will be on the front page tomorrow. I wondered what ole Uthane was up too. This is gonna look killer, literally when you get it done.
-
Thanks Tamer! I just need to get that braid of his right. Not happy with what I have so far, so I'll give sculpting one more try. Or two.
Anyway, this is something completely different for me: I've been meaning to create a new character for Tankster's wicked Desolation theme and came up with this alternative version of Tinkerbell. In honour of Daniel I have named her.... Tinkster! And FYI: she carries a hi-tech pulse rifle, which doesn't sprinkle fairy dust...

I get in here to get Ultane's Hammer posted and I see this. Of course I had to get this on the front page.
Remco, it is just a gift you have of making your gal customs look so tough, but they sacrifice none of their feminine appeal. I don't know how you do it.
I gotta hope now you will make Peter Pan and Captain Hook! Time to go Desolation Never Never Land!
-
Dude, awesome details on the Wolverine fig! (/Bubba Fett bows before Mr. Black)
-
Well done !!! not just with tinkster but with all your posts especially Wolverine !!!!
-
Wow, look at the beater Ulthane has got! Tinkster turned out well. I love that rifle she has got.
-
That is such a great idea! Tinkster, I love it! Awesome work!
-
Damn I love your sculpting skills they are just amazing. I really like Tinkster the design and paint apps just bring this character to life well done.
Ron

A belated thanks guys! As always, I've been busy on (too) many projects, one of which is a commissioned piece that precedes everything else. But, from time to time, I manage to update on current projects.
Here's an update of some sorts :) It's so easy to take pics while I'm working and uploading them to Facebook, I tend to forget the center of the customizing galaxy still is (and probably always will be) the forums. These are WIP shots of Death from the Darksiders game. I'm still very much in the sculpting stage, as you can see:
(http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx49/incomscustoms/Darksiders/deathwip_11_zpsadc1555d.jpg) (http://s740.photobucket.com/user/incomscustoms/media/Darksiders/deathwip_11_zpsadc1555d.jpg.html)
(http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx49/incomscustoms/Darksiders/deathwip_10_zps3a709717.jpg) (http://s740.photobucket.com/user/incomscustoms/media/Darksiders/deathwip_10_zps3a709717.jpg.html)
(http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx49/incomscustoms/Darksiders/deathwip_09_zpscdd98ee7.jpg) (http://s740.photobucket.com/user/incomscustoms/media/Darksiders/deathwip_09_zpscdd98ee7.jpg.html)
I've also been testing out some techniques for making the webbing between Death's fingers. I managed to tackle this by using a hot glue gun:
(http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx49/incomscustoms/Darksiders/deathwip_12_zps57d4e907.jpg) (http://s740.photobucket.com/user/incomscustoms/media/Darksiders/deathwip_12_zps57d4e907.jpg.html)
Of course, I'll add more of this to each wing :)
Anyway, hope you like what you see so far. As always, I'll try to keep you guys up to date!
-
Looking great mate and the web technique is fantastic.
Ron
-
Remco, it is great to see your update!
I have been wondering what you have been up too. Off to the front page.
I still have that great AT-AT Commander as one of the centerpieces of my collection. So cool. Thanks again Remco. You have got to get over here to the states someitme. Or I need to get over to Europe.
-
That web idea is very creative. I can't wait to see more progress.
-
Oh wow! Very cool stuff!
-
Thanks guys!
