From my fan comic "Rules of Engagement," here is the flagship, the UNSC Sagan.
Commissioned in 2578 and launched in 2583, the Sagan is the United Nations Space Command's newest exploratory vehicle. Possessing a crew of Human and former Covenant races, the Sagan's mission is to explore the gulf of space between Madrigal and as-yet still unexplored Beta Centuri. Authorized by the Office of Naval Intelligence and funded by the shadowy Weyland-Yutani Corporation, the UNSC Sagan boasts some of the most impressive technology ever seen on a Human ship, with a fully integrated Slipspace turbine, reverse engineered from Forerunner technology.

A brief rundown of the technical specifications of the Sagan. It features a unique hybrid Slipspace turbine, which powers itself from raw slipspace energy.

Wow, where is the full comic or are you still working on it? The graphics are sweet. Time to go to the fp.

Very cool ship concept! You don't usually see the over/under config on engines like that. Gives it a very unique look.

I want to see this ship in action! I must say I liked the first Forerunner book, but just finished the second one by Greg Bear and I think he forgot which fans were reading these books. I would definitely like to see a post war Halo Verse which is what looks like you are making.

Yeah, when I heard that Bear was writing Halo books, I went and checked out a couple of his books to know what his writing style would be like in advance. The guy's a little cerebral for me. I haven't had a chance to read the Forerunner books, but I keep hearing the same thing about them. I'll get around to them eventually, but in the meantime I just use Halopedia to make sure that my fanon doesn't contradict too much.
Thanks so much to everyone who posted! The comic is indeed in production right now, but it will be some time before I post any pages; each page takes a LONG time to make, and I'd like to get a comfortable buffer of pages done before I post anything. Be on the lookout for more teasers, though!

I'm very much looking forward to seeing your comic.

Just so you all don't think I've died, I'm still working on models for the comic. I made the first page and hated it, so I'm re-working the models a bit in various rendering programs.

Nice!

Smeagol, your work on this looks stunning. I guess that much of the work on this project is on the front end, so seeing these preparations is very interesting.
Let's see more!

Thanks!
I was working on exporting some of the character models to 3D animating programs so I can start getting skeletons rigged on them; here's a quick preview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6wNbYed1dI) of some of that process.

Out of this world! the program you are using looks a lot like the end titles of Iron Man.
This looks like an absolutely amazing project as you have some truly amazing skills.
