Post by: Wardog on August 28, 2012, 12:04:55 AM
Hi boys, girls & anything inbetween

The following pics are of my new custom figure.   He's a Swoop Gang Member on Tatooine.

The Swoop has yet to be repainted and detailed.

Enjoy

You might want to swap out the hands, there are not enough fingers for a Twi'lek  :P

Yeah the hands got change not long after the photos were taken  ;D

The Swoop has had it's main undercoat and the details are being painted on as i type this (no, i don't have 4 arms).   One the details are all dry i'll do another detail coat then weather it.

Here's my Twi'lek Swoop Gang member on his Swoop.  The Swoop needs a few smaller paint apps but otherwise it's done.

Title: Custom Talz Tribal Warrior: Wugg Too'both
Post by: Wardog on September 01, 2012, 04:12:07 PM
Hi all

This custom is loosely based on the Talz we saw in the CW season 1 episode.  I've added a few of my own touches like the smeared Clone Trooper 'blood' as war paint and the weapon staff with the helmets at trophies.   The smeared Clone Trooper blood war paint is based on the Amazonian tribes and war paint from various other natives tribe that still exist to this day in Papau New Guinea as well.

That's Australia man....Sydney especially (where i live).  Sydney has been ranked as one of the top 3 most expensive cities to live in in the world.

Title: Re: Wardog's Customs: Two smugglers/back ground characters for the dio
Post by: Wardog on September 02, 2012, 03:41:36 PM
Shipping here isn't that bad which is a blessing really  ;D

Here in Australia some people are really struggling to survive.  Families have resorted to living at camp sites and in their cars because they can't afford the rents here or there's no properties available to rent and they have no where to go.   We're lucky though, we have properties and are looking at building again next year.

Thanks man  ;D

We're one of the fortunate ones man, other people are not that lucky and/or have collateral like my wife and i do.   It's when you see a mum & dad on the street with thier kids and the kids are begging for food and they look hungry and have tears in their eyes is when it really hits home how hard some people have it.   It's a sad situation.

I would hate to see that but it does show me how i got it made. I NEVER KNEW THING'S WERE SO BAD DOWN THERE!!!!! :o I would probably cry whenever i went somewhere and saw that! :'( :'( I hope your family makes it and hope the other family's make it too. :)

Yeah things are bad here.   Violence is a BIG problem too....that coupled with people losing everything and how expensive it is to live here isn't good combination for a nice and peacefull society.

Here's two human figures i've been customizing the past few days.   They're just back ground characters...bugger waiting for Hasbro to do anything about it.

Three customs from TPM.

From left to right:

Meddun
Seen in Mos Espa just as the sandstorm is whipping up.  The photos i've found of him have him wearing dirty yellow gloves and sleeves under his cloak that are red.  The figures has the red sleeves and dirty yellow gloves (can't see them clearly here)

Breedo
Seen in Watto's Podrace Box.  I added the scarf to make him a bit more interesting.

Lobwuwa Loba
Seen in Watto's Podrace Box.  The head covering is a touch i added to this custom a while back and i kept it on for Loba because he's wearing a cloak so i just figured he'd have a covering for him head as part of the cloak.

Great work!  I need to get to some non-Jedi, non-Sith, non-bountyhunter, non-trooper, non-smuggler, etc. customs.  Guess I gotta dig through some fodder.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated  :) :D ;D

There's a few characters in Watto's Podrace Box that no matter how hard i try i can't find clear enough pictures of them.  There's one character Orrin Loneozner who isn't very clear in all the pics i've seen so i may have to skip him.   A few of the characters look a tad difficult....Bok Askol for example.   Time will tell i guess.
