Hi all - First post :)
Stumbled on this forum looking for inspiration for Hasbro SW mods. Some great stuff here!
Here's an A-wing I finished the other day - tried to stick reasonably close to the studio models :)

Oh WOW! she is a real beauty. certainly one of the best A-Wing customs I've seen. I especially love your panel painting effects, I've never quite been able to get that effect...
Tutorial please!

Now that is a work of beauty! Thanks for sharing, and again welcome to The Yard!

Cheers :)
I especially love your panel painting effects, I've never quite been able to get that effect...
Tutorial please!
I'll keep a record as I go when I unleash the paint on my current project! This one was actually very simple to do. The only airbrushing was to base coat the white. The rest of it is hand painted. Panel effects are all done with Tamiya Weathering Master soot (the single most useful thing I've bought for models of this size...) gently brushed on with tape to mask panels. Blast marks are TWM soot dabbed on with a wet makeup sponge thingy. Fading on the red is done with TWM snow - exactly same as the soot. There's a handful of chips painted on in light grey. That's it :)
Here's a previous custom that I abandoned :-\

Wrong forum but it saves creating a new thread - here's some 'action figure' repaints - the Clone Wars Yoda is actually a vinyl keyring:
