Here's one of first attempts at customizing. A chop and pop Aqualish Jedi. I thought it funny and ironic to use a walrus man figure and made a jedi out of him. Especially giving him a keno I lightsaber as a cherry on top.
Now he's ready to join the ranks and fight the good fight.
-
Here's my attempt at creating the other Duro Cantina patron. Pretty simple other than getting the right torso that would accept to head of the Duro. I made the scarf/collar thing out of an ewok hood and gave it a touch of paint. Overall I'm pretty pleased with how he came together.
Cheers!

A random Sith Lord . I was originally planning on making a Darth Maleval however I preferred the tattered and roughness to this guy. I also chose to forgo the traditional Sith Tattoos as I thoroughly like his overall red skinned look. Reminds me of a boiled lobster . My story would be he became a Sith Lord because of his anger over being boiled alive.
Cheers!

I've seen several kickass customs done by a few amazing customizers on the net who have come up with this type of guy. I liked him so much I thought I would like to try it out myself. Gladiator Gammorean Guard. Made from a hulk figure.
Fully reprinted, all armour metailisized and aged. I'm very pleased with how he turned out. I may resist him a bit though. Might wanna change his sword scabbard a bit but that's it.
He looks kickass taking on the Rancor. Thank you to those who came before me with their creativity in developing this guy. Please take my working off your amazing customs examples as a compliment. It's how I'm learning.
Cheers!

Here's without a doubt my favourite as well as my hardest custom to date. This guy was taken back to start several times until I was somewhat pleased with him.
Overall I'm very proud with how it all came together including the custom base I made up for him.
Here is my little lord of Pain, Darth Sion
-
Needed to add a rodian Jedi to the mix. Pretty much just a chop and pop but I like em.
Time to join the ranks
-
One of my first customs. Finding out that if you turned the head around on the one figure you got another intrigued me to no end. This is the one that started me down the rabbit hole. No where even close to the awesomeness of the recent one by customs for the Kid (they got skills) but overall I'm pleased with him as he was my first. I think the idea of adding some soft goods for the cape will really make this one better. But for today he's good.

Figured Darth Sion needed a tattered cape to go along with his already bad ass'ness.

Great Stuff!!! Welcome to the Yards!
-
Nice work on these! Welcome to the yards!
-
Hey these look great! Welcome once again to ISY. I need to take these to our front and facebook pages. I really like the look of your Darth Sion; heck they all look good.
-
some real well done stuff ! look forward to seeing more welcome to the yards
-
Well, I just found you on fb and now you have found the best customizing site on the net! Welcome to the yards and great figures!
-
Thanks so much for all the kind words Peeps!

Well summer has kept me away from playing and puttering on existing projects. However I did manage to finish up this guy last night. I have at least a dozen or so troopers eagerly waiting for their turn to get similar treatment. I want to make a hoard of them as well as a diorama of a busted down ship.
Here's my first stab at a death trooper. Enjoy!
-
Wow, that looks awesome in a gruesome kind of way if that makes any sense. Look for it on our fp soon.
-
First "stab" is right! Brutally disgusting, in a good way!
-
Great work!
-
Wow! Thats stunning. I guess I have some work to do on mine!
-
awesome work man!
-
Thanks so much for all the kind words everyone.
-
Here's a Nautolan Sith Lord that's been on the tale for far too long. Finally got I'm to somewhere where I'm kinda happy with.
-
Another one that's been on the table for a long time is a Mon Calamari Sith Lord. I've tried several times putting Sith style 'tattoo's' but was never pleased with the results thus far. I do like the over all red look though. Gave him a couple of 'dirty' washes and a robe and he good to go.
-
My favourite species within the Star Wars Universe, Ithorians. Anytime I find them I grab them for customizing. Here's an Ithorian Senator busting out a wicked air guitar
-
Great customs! Finally got to check out your work. I, too have made the Gamorrean Rancor Slayer and Melas custom figures in the past. Yours are very cool! Ithorians are my favorite SW aliens too. Keep up the great work!
-
Nice, time to go back to the front page.
-
A couple of Rodinian senators
-
Just recently purchased an xbox 360 Star Wars edition for the kids and it came with the Star Wars Kinnect game. This is a quick custom of my Padawan character in the game.
-
Aqualish Sith
-
When I first got started in trying to customize this guy was one of my first projects. With zero skills it was a bit ambitious to say the least. So he sat on the work table since day one. Well I eventually 'finished' him last week. I do plan on revisiting him again and adding hair and bristles but for now I'm pretty pleased to have this guy in my collection. Now he can finally go have a drink in the cantina!
Tzizvvt (aka the Flyguy)

Nice update! Off to share again. I like your Fly Guy!
-
I really like the head adult on the Bothan in the comic pack . I thought it had a nice evil look about it so I made a Bothan Sith Lord.
Torso is from a Darth Nihlus, legs, skirt and sash are from a darth sidious. I've had the base sitting around for a awhile. Thought the skeleton looked reminiscent of a Krayyt Dragon . Bit of paint and it is now a freshly killed one. Enjoy!
-
You will just have to read my comments on the front page.

Nice kitbash and final execution on this guy. I also have to give you points for sacrificing Darth Nihilus for a badder Sith. Not that I don't love your Bothan Sith Lord (I do), but where did the dragon skull come from?
-
The base is probably from a spawn figure or something on that lines. I found it loose at one of my fav shops. I have the owner trained now to put aside all sorts of stuff for me that comes through the door. The base was $2 so I couldn't pass it up. Removed the wrong size pegs filled some hole with sculpey, gave it my standard bloody treatment and done. Thanks for the nice words.

My project this past weekend. Jedi's Final Stand
4 more customs Death Troopers almost about to overrun a custom Jedi

Excellent work and I really like the death trooper dio.

Those are excellent! You should really change this thread name from "newbie" to "pro"
-
Great death troopers' diorama !
-
Awesome dio I need to go share that. You look like someone who might be interesting in our ISY Exclusive!
-
Here's what kinda happened today. Have had the swoop bike in the box for awhile wanted to do a band of nomad pirates. Here's the first one completed. Loved the palpatine head on this guy
Cheers!
Chris
-
Here's just a view of the other side of the Pirates swoop bike.
Cheers!
-
I would love to see this a little bit larger!
-
Here's hopefully a larger version
-
And a larger version of the other side of the bike
-
Great swoop bike and rider!
-
The swoops like great.
Ron
-
Thanks for the larger pics, off to share.
-
Cool! Really Cool!
-
Great looking swoop and driver!
-
Thanks so much for all the kind words guys
-
Ithorians are still ands down my favourite species within the Star Wars Pantheon so it just made sense that I would make some into Sith. Being such a gentle species this guy must have had hit a real rough patch growing up that sent on this path into the darkness. Cheers!
-
Nice, my comments are on the front page.
-
Nice work man, Ithorians are one of my favorite species as well, I made a Jedi Nomad Ithorian earlier this year.
What chest piece did you use on this guy? It looks really nice, as do the soft goods.
-
Thanks Darth Drew, as for the chest piece honestly I have no idea. We just had the C4 comic con this past weekend and it was a loose piece I scrounged out of a bulk tub. It has a whole bit of stuff I cut off to make it the way it is. The soft goods all strips of either black leather or fabric . I've been seeing so many awesome customs coming out as of late with incredible soft goods so it has pushed me to expand and give it a try. Next step trying to make Jedi and Sith robes on the wife's sowing machine. So manly! Should be interesting.
Cheers!
Chris
-
Great job on that Ithorian! Congrats on getting on the front page too !
-
Great job on that sith !! i dont think i have ever seen anybody do a custom sith ithorian what a great concept and custom !
-
The Sith Lord Darth Tenebrous
-
This guy was fun. Kit bash from several figures. Loved the worm like body. (Random men in black figure found on clearance awhile back) .
Nice little addition to my growing legion of Sith Lords. I gave him a shine coat as I felt he would secrete a mucus. To Keep his skin moist. Loved the way he turned out. The holocron that he's holding was just a bit of modelling clay. I want to completely redo that but for now he can chill with his Sith brethren in the display case plotting evil deeds. Cheers!
-
Love Darth Tenebrous! That other Sith is quite interesting!

I agree and I think that is a MOTU Merman head. Off to share.
-
Works kept me fairly busy so haven't had a lot of free time to 'play' finished a a few today.
First up a Neomodian Jedi
-
Next a Talz Sith. Not much of a custom. Figure left alone however, several washes, reprinted the eyes and made some soft goods etc....
-
The Cantina Character Mosep, I was born in the 70's so the original film cemented my love for Star Wars but the part of the film that meant the most to we was without a doubt the Mos Eisley Cantina scene. So being able to make the missing characters was an awesome opportunity.
Online met a really cool guy goes by the name I Am BOBA FETT who crafts wicked casts of a lot of the lost or unavailable characters. I've bought several from him now and this is the first one I've completed.
-
A Chargarian Jedi
-
Great figures.
Ron
-
Great figures.
I agree, just a great update. I am talking that Talz Sith to the front page.
-
Neb Dulo from Jabba's palace using a head cast from I Am Boba Fett. Kevin does some awesome work so hit him up
-
I believe it was Jack Of Tradze that did one of these guys first. Liked him so much had to make one for my cantina using old Yoda fodder. I think I may have to make a few more dwarfs. Look at that cute little drunkard!
-
Gonna need a Chalum if gonna build the Cantina so here a quick one
-
Haven't been able to take a nice pic of this custom Sith, believe me I've tried. Random Sith Lord using a custom head sculpt from The Angel Forge
-
Darth Traya
-
Great customs man! Darth Traya looks awesome!! Great job on Neb Dulo and Mosep. Thanks for the shout out on them too! 0/
-
Nice work, Traya's soft goods are really nice, also what did you use for her hood?
-
I think I speak for us all when I say I would love to see more of that Darth Traya. Off to share.
-
Great update on an awesome group of characters!
-

Nice customs. They may be AF's heads, but you've done a great job detailing them.
I agree with Tamer. I'd like to see a few more close-ups of Darth Traya.
I have to check out Angel Forge again.
-
Fantastic customs mate especially on Darth Traya.
Ron
