Hey all!
Pretty much finished with this one.
Cut up a Legacy AT and then made an arduino-controlled motion Ion Cannon.

Here's the finished product:

Here's it in motion:

I started by cutting up the AT

After that, I started to fabricate the backbone of the ion cannon, and figuring out how the servo would move.

Then started working on the base

Then, I started working on the servo enclosure, and testing it out.

Then it was time to work on the greeblies, make the removeable panel to cover the arduinos, and start test fitting.

Testing:

The, after painting, weathering, and nipping and tucking, it was done.  Still have some more to do, but they're just small things.

Talk about bringing a tear to the eye. This is just over the top awesome. It is just insanely fantastic. Let me go share this and try to leave some better comments when I can calm down. Bravo!

Like Tamer said, I almost don't know what to say. This (model? custom? work of art?) is truly fantastic, and is just altogether stunning. Your use of greeblies is so creative and makes all your work feel instantly at home in the Empire, and your subtle weathering is so on-point for Star Wars. Amazing job, man.

If you ever contemplate parting with this (for the record I never would) I would love to own it. Period. Set. Match. Game Over.

It is one of my most favorite custom creations I have ever seen and trust me when I say I have seen a few.

Awww thanks guys!

This one was tough, in that the complexity was overshadowed by a constant feeling of "Shit shit shit this isn't coming together. It doesn't look right, it doesn't look right!"  I felt it looked pretty janky, but a curse of mine is never being able to see something as a completed thing, I always see it as parts. It'd be like buying a car and not seeing it as one.... but 2 doors, a hood, some glass, and 4 tires."

Now I gotta start on a B-Wing!  Made one years ago, but I've learned alot since then.

This is one of the most impressive custom vehicles I've seen so far.
Every little detail looks perfect.
Hats off Sir!

I could so see an I.M.P.S. Story revolving around just this one vehicle. Man this thing is awesome.
