Animal Planet/Discovery Channel Lines
« on: February 25, 2019, 06:09:53 PM »
Toys R Us Canada has a new "Animal Planet" set:

http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=147959236

This set has the Hammerhead Shark I have been wanting for over a decade so I hope it shows up at Target (they carry the line in America) at some point.

I saw this and shared it on the front page.

Keep hearing rumors about Toys R Us coming back.

Saw this 1/18 scale Deep Sea Diver set at CVS for $6.99. The figure itself appears to be hollow and only has 2 joints- ball jointed shoulders. The figure, overall, is a bit cartoony looking, but the sharks are great and the accessory tree has some very useful undersea accessories.

If it was cheaper, I would have picked it up just for the sharks and the accessory tree.

Wish CVS would carry the SW Line. Off to share this news.

Thanks for always keeping us aware of where the goodies are at Dan.

The shark research boat playset that showed up at Walmart last year in "Shark Week" packaging is now at Target in "Animal Planet" packaging.

Target has a new "Animal Planet" branded Chap Mei safari set. Everything but the tree house appears to be from previous sets. The tree house may be a reissue as well, but it does not resemble any of the previous ones I am familiar with.

There is a new "Animal Planet" branded Chap Mei set at Target!

The only new 2021 piece is the giant shark, the rest are all reissues of older pieces.

The set retails for $39.99.

On the front pages.

Amazed at some of the packs that are out for the prices compared to comparable SW stuff. I know license fees and all, but still.

Saw this brand new "Animal Planet" set at Target.

The sub has electronic lights and sounds and the waldo arms have at least 3 points of articulation. The largest Shark has a chomping action when you depress the dorsal fin.

It is $39.99 and feels a bit light for that price so I passed on it. I might reconsider if I see it on sale for less in the future.

I could see why you passed on it. Though that sub has all kinds of vehicle customizing possibilities. That set hasn't shown up at my Targets yet.

If the set were $10-$15 cheaper, it would have come home with me.

Hmmm....

I can see why you are waiting. One more item or a smaller price would make this a better deal.

Off to share on the front page.

I know some customizers have been waiting for this Target exclusive "Animal Planet" set to hit clearance, and I spotted it for $27.99 today (down from the original $39.99).

Happy hunting to all that have been waiting for them to go lower!

If it hits $20 or less, I will grab one myself.
