Spry,

No, I painted straight onto the trooper with a Games Workshop burgendy undercoat paint. The figure has about 4 coats of paint.

A well-built sniper rifle is a beautiful thing. Ours has two zoom modes, "Up close and personal" and "Hello, you're dead

Wow. I can see who is gonna be on the fp tomorrow. Love the color and the pauldron and the helmet. I can't remember what character that is from. Is it the Mcquarrie snowtrooper? Nope, that doesn't seem right. Faie?

Guys, thanks  for your comments...I seem to have caught the custom bug!

There are loads of clone customs posted here on the forum  but very few Stormtroopers. Looking at this image I have realised what the main difference between Stormies and Clones is...Stormies look mean! I'm glad to see that Hasbro have recently bought out a couple of very good Stormtrooper variants, the Shadow Trooper and the Incinterator Trooper.

My heavy armoured Stormtrooper was an idea inspired by none other than Wraith9, a while back he posted some red Stormies and I had been wanting to do something similar for some time.

Tamer, I think the helmet is a Mcquarrie concept trooper. Some time ago I bought an odd collection of troops on e-bay, there was 5 of them in a pack and I think I paid $10 for them. When they turned up they had been posted from Hong Kong, so I'm not sure that they are Hasbro products. Cool though!

...Which is now sat in the V-Wing in my collection lol.

Jules, this trooper looks awesome. I like to think of the Clone Engineer helmet as one of the helmets that bridges the gap between the clones & stormies.
Excellent work dude!
