I just found this page...  (How could I have missed it, lol?)  Very nice work on your part, Ron...  I can see you're a man of great patience.  The weathering on the troopers was great, too, but I'm really impressed with the dio, and all the work done to it.  Nice job!

Ron thanks so much for this amazing tutorial! The dio and figures look great! I bought some chalk pastels last week and sanded to make the powder and weathered a droid in your style. How do you get the dust to stick to the figure? It seems softer plastic is easier for it to stick to vs, some harder plastic like an astromech. I had to wet the droid a bit then dust. Any advice?

Hi Spry

Thanks mate and glad you like it.

As for the dust sticking just spary a little dullcoate on the droid/figure etc and then add the pastels and then respray it with dull coate again to seal the pastals.

After getting used to your awesomeness, instead of my eyes popping out of my head Arnold Schwarzenegger Total Recall style when I see your new creations, I merely sit back and drool uncontrollably...so there is a slight improvement!

You really have excelled again, the subtle dusting on the droid is a case of perfect weathering technique and the whole scene looks totally authentic.

There seems to be a theme going on here, we all have our favourite Star Wars locations, can I assume that Tatooine has a special place in your heart?
