Thanks for the Welcome Darth Neo!!!!

I found a site having a sale on these microman figures and bought 3 of those Alan figures for $25 shipped, so I  am assuming thats good since they said avg retail is $19.99 a figure.

I'M ALIVEEEEE!, sorry for the leave but long story short; Toy Fair, Ebay new sellers announcements, a Convention here in PR  & a crashing PC, plus a few commissions keep me busy,Thanks to dax415 for answering headshot question (btw - Welcome) much appreciated ;D.  with the crashing of my PC the pics or the tutorial when down the drain but don't worry I took new ones and I will be posting them during the next 3 days, including how to paint them.

So you must be curious about what I had commissioned right?, well here's something you might like.... bbfet

Tnx Reconsgt, fortunately a good friend let me use her's while mine I is in the shop. I learn a lot from reading but also from just comparing photos, in my early days I used to buy a magazine called Hobby Japan and as you may inferred it's in Japanese  :o, they used a special way of depicting the how to's; by showing you the normal piece and the customized one side by side.  OOH DID I LEARN FROM THEM!!!!, but also made me to judgmental of my own work  :-[.

I will try that approach so I don't have to  write to much I will answer all the question on Friday, one more thing; this tutorial is for the Microclone that uses the hands and feet of the Microman or as i call it the "basic type", so... should we begin?

1) the bits pic just to make sure everyone have the tools, 2) the trooper in pieces, 3) the different heads & 4) the Microman

Lets start with the drilling, a word of caution; if you set the dremel at a high speed YOU WILL MELT THE PLASTIC, start with the lowest speed, first do a straight hole (1). Move it a little so you can expand it but be careful the purpose is to take out as much plastic as you can not to hollow it completely.

Now with the small/slim grinding stone you can start sanding it down from the inside (2), remember SLOW SPEED!!!, the bigges secret to NOT damage the armor at this point is TACTILE SENSITIVITY, the stone friction is making the plastic rise it's temperature right?, that's your signal to know that you are using to much speed; also it helps you know when you are about to breach the exterior of the armor.

How much are you supposed to hollow the armor?, use the arm to know how much sanding is needed, The piece should look like this (3) and this (4).
