Almost done, I need to do the final paint details but it's close to complete. I will do that over the weekend. I also need to glue the legs into position, these are pretty worn and it squats to low for my taste so I will have to settle for pre-posed I guess.

Here you go for now

very cool.  Unfortunate about the preposed legs, it does give it a very squatty look.  It almost looks like it's chin heavy too, like it should fall on it's face...  obviously it doesn't though.  The paint job is awesome, love it!

I think I'd loose the radar dish on the back though... maybe putting it on top would look better? idk...

I like it! Even the dish is alright to me... I think on top it would stand out too much, or make me think of the falcon's dish. It looks like a sweet station to be hidden in, and having the dish on there means you'll never get bored on those long sniper missions with satellite Holonet! Live podracing any time of the day!  :D

I don't think Wayne has glued the legs into position yet, but I have a few atst's that have the same droopy problem. I think preposed is the way I will go with those too.

Correct Shawn, The legs are nto glued yet, they will be due to the droopy look, They will be glued so that the ATST stand "straight" . It also makes it appear taller, When I get it done there will be more pics, as for the dish, I didn't paint it yet but I did originally want a slightly smaller one, my idea on the dish was tehre were to be long range mission platforms working far away from other units so I wanted it to look differnt from a standard ATST. I will still be adding a few details to this today, it's not done yet ;)

I like the dish idea, Wayne. This is turning out sweet. Did you mention about a possible diorama in this custom's future?
I can't wait.

This thing looks sweet. I bet you can't wait to get your hands on the new one! I for one can't wait to see how this all turns out.

Done with the ATST

I will get better pics up sometime soon, but I fixed the sagging issue, so now it stands much straighter, I shot it witha comparision to the other vintage ATST I have for parts.

So on to my next project. I think folks will see where the original idea came from with this next project. I am doing a cross interpitation on a SW fighter. I had a few old broken up vintage X-wings and was wondering what to do with them when it occurred to me. I made the wings from 1/4 plywood and glasses them into place, cut the fusalage down, added some thrusters and this is where it is now. I need to fab up the upper wing and other top side details, add some cannons, paint and other details but here is a few teaser pics as to where I am going with it.

Oh holy crap, is that going to be a Battlestar Galactica Viper?! Hells yeah(if it is...)! I've always wanted a 3 3/4" viper, such sweet looking ships. And, if it's not, it's still looking pretty awesome!

It is indeed going to be based on the viper. I can't be 100% accurate with it due to the parts available but it will be a viperesq SW ship. I will due the best I can with what I have but it is based off of the Xwing hull with a nod to BSG. The Colonial Viper is where I drew the inspiration from and like others I always wanted one in the 3 3/4 scsale so I have to settle for this right now, the one in the pic is a working prototype and I have a second under way. I am taking more pics  as I go with this one for a refrence guide later on.
