Got these pics of the new gelegrub BP from Rebelscum.

Notice the ball-jointed hips on this clone rider.

Nice SA hips. And almost looks like a different pistol sculpt.
Not really a big fan of the slug, either.
I guess we ought to be used to having to modify the pauldrons in order for them to fit snugly with the helmet fitting to cover their chin.
Guess its time to be on the lookout for these on the bay. too much IMO for the boxed version with the grub.

gelagrub OTOH,  well, if I got the thing for free, I'd re-gift it.

I'll wait for the clone trooper to be availible  some other way, they're bound to repack AND repaint it a few times

One can only hope so. I like that new pauldron configuration.

I do as well. The change in shape and design fits better for me.
But it still looks like it doesnt lie flat enough, and makes the helmet sit higher when on the head.
A little shaving around the underside of the neck hole and shoulder areas will make it sit on the shoulders nicely and almost let the helmet sit covering the ever protruding chin on Phase II armor.
That is one of the main reasons I prefer Phase I helmets. They fit and cover the face as they should.
Do you think there could be a way to make that pauldron cover the left shoulder?

alot of shaving could get it closer. Prehaps extending the angled parts of that side of the pauldron just slightly.

I have done this with a removable helmet 327th Trooper and Commanders Bow and Bly with good results. Lots of shaving.
Wanted to do it to a Shadow Trooper Commander and a few others (about 12+ clone commander and 327th type figs), but never got back to it.
Dont really have room to display them all right now, but would be nice to have them ready for it.
I was not brave enough to try doing this with my dremmel and sanding barrel or other attachments.
Last thing like this I tried with the dremmel, turned out bad due to the rubbery plastic composition and speed or lack there of while working the dremmel.
Baby steps....

I always used an exacto knife to do that. No heat from friction, that way.
Funny, I have never casted the clone commander pauldron before. I guess I thought that there were so many clone commanders out there that there were plenty to go around. I will do this geligrub clone's if I get it
