Wow! Thanks for the great comments guys, you all have made my day.
First let me give a bit of a background about the Shrike. The I-22 was made by the same sub-team that later produced the I-7 Howlrunner for the Empire. The Shrike was original designed for the Empire as well but due to the fleet being predominantly in favor of the T.I.E. series of fighters the Empire chose not to put the I-22 into mass production(some few units did make production though and went on to replace aging z-95s the Empire used in many outlying and older garisons.
.The Shrike is not a starfighter though it can assume the role but only in limited capacities
.I-22 does not incorperate a hyperdrive or any R units
.The Shrike is basicaly a glorified airspeeder(but one that is fully pressurized and can operate in the vacume of space- unlike traditional airspeeders) and is relatively fast with it's two stage airbreathing engines
.First run I-22's were only armed with twin blasters located in cutout between the forward wing area. These cannons are supplemented by targeting lasers that along with other flight sensors in the nose aid in target alocation- later build Skrike models sported an addtional twin blaster setup on the end of each wing
.To give the craft more punch mounting points for two mid-size concusion missiles were afixed to the ventral side (with a full loadout flight characteristics are not deminished)
.The cockpit readouts and other insturments are fairly standard imperial systems
. I-22's do have limited shield capability
I tried to picture a fighter that would fit seamlessly with existing Incom designs . I was not aware of any Aliens shuttle motifs but now I can't not see it. I adeed x-wing
, snow speeder, a-wing, lambda shuttle, as well as tng shuttlecraft, F-302's as well as other ellements of other craft into the design.
I will get to your comments here in a sec.
