I think the poses speak for themselves. Front page and I hope Hasbro takes some notes. This looks great.

That is superb Devin! The yellow looks just right to me and I like how some grey shows through at the line details and the knee joints. It looks lightly weathered. Great job!

well that grey showing through is the part that I dislike... it shows through on the legs and looks cool but on the arms it doesn't, since the arms were yellow to start with.  I did go over the arms with the yellow color I mixed to bring the legs and arms closer to the same color... I couln't get my paint to mix into just the right yellow.  I wish I had flat colors to have mixed, all I had was glossy...

thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate it.  This is one of the most dificult figures I've worked on for a long time so it made it extra rewarding to get it done.

Devin that is insane......

That is easily the best custom you have done, in the time I've been on here.

The Joe parts flow awesomely.

I'd like to do one of these for myself.

The best one realy?  I think he's pretty good but I'd realy have liked the paint apps to be a little bit better... there are still some issues I see in it.  Of course I'm probably microanalyzing my own work!
I would LOVE it, ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT, if you'd try this on your own!  I love knowing that other folks like my work enough to emulate the recipee and try it for themselves! if you need any help, pointers, or have any questions about parts or techniques let me know and I'll give you whatever help I can, and that goes for anyone!!!!

I will no doubt ask bro, because I almost never use Joe parts, but I can see why people do, especially when they flow like this one did.

"crimson shadow arf trooper"

This figure is a variation of my before seen crimson scout, which was a custom super articulated gen. wier figure.  This arf figure was originally the other storm commando that came in that comic pack.  The body has been replaced with a resolute cobra trooper's and the head is a custom resin cast of the TCW arf trooper helmet which has been modified to remove the pointed top....

pics:

this figure was constructed to accompany the crimson shadow at-rt, which is showcased in my vehicles thread. Please go check it out.
