Awesome work mate and the little details like the sink and insulation really add to the realism.

Thanks all. Having a lot of fun with this one, trying to go slow as to not get my usual burnout.

That sink is an awesome addition! Your attention to detail here is really paying off.

Punisher Diorama.....update page 7
« Reply #95 on: February 03, 2014, 08:14:42 PM »
So I made some legs for the slop sink and added a waste barrel. Can't have a barrel full of paper towel with no visible paper towels! Gotta fix that!

So I cut a strip of actual paper towels and a small styrene rod to wrap it round

Used some white medical tape because....well, it's all I had at the workbench

Added the tape to the end of the paper towel

Wound it around. The first attempt ended up being more like a toilet paper roll. We'll keep that just in case ;)

Next attempt was much better. Secured the end with some glue stick

I'll eventually make some kind of holder for it, but for now it's done

YES! The water pipes are crooked! I haven't secured them yet in case I need to move them for more construction or whatever

Also worked on some conduit, but nothing to show yet.

Ok, back on track here!

Moving a bit away from the construction stuff, I thought I'd start on the props I plan on using for this diorama. I made some maps of the NY Subway system and of Manhattan(not shown). Also printed out Frank's BOLO poster. Have more stuff in the works, but some stuff I sized wrong. I have also added a small tutorial on how I add wear and tear to my props.

Freshly cut out map of NY Subway system

This thing is my best friend.....no really, it's kinda sad....lol

So basically, I hit up the paper with the sanding block not really being too careful as I don't mind a tear or two.  I then folded it up as small as I could

Finished product. It's kind of hard to see in the pictures, but the map is pretty faded and worn here and there. You can see most of it in the blue water and the top black area

I also made a BOLO poster and tacked it up to the beam. What I did with this one is just hit it with some water, bent it up a bit and let it dry so it looks like Frank found it on the ground or whatever.

Also started putting together the gun racks

I love that this thing is far from done, but I can already pull of shots like this! (As you can see I painted and wore the workbench too)

A bit blurry, sorry

Wow, looks almost real. I just watched an anime last night that featured Frank and the Widow and must say you have really captured that same feel. Off to share.

That is incredible work there. From the photos, you would think it was already completed.

Started the interior decorating tonight. This is probably the most hated/loved part of diorama building for me. Finding the right balance between overdoing it, and not having enough. Although the end is in sight, there are still a few more things I want to do. I'll let the pictures do the talking tonight:

Sorry for the blurry picture. I thought I had a better shot, but they were all blurry. This was the best of the bunch..lol

LOL

You've really captured him here. I can't believe the detail you worked into that on such a small scale. I could never design something half as good. I am in awe.

Stunning! Wow, you are killing it with the details! So many nice touches, STP sticker for 1. Top shelf diorama man!

Sensational work indeed, I just spent the last 10 min looking over the pics and the details are just outstanding like the broken mirror, the paper hand towel, the rubbish bin and the way some of the floor boards have raised from old age just to name a few.
