great job, I've been watching one of them faie figs on e-bay waiting for a cheap one...  I love that scarlett figures head on the clone.  I think I've found the thing I'm going to do with mine....

Wow Volker! I am in love with those two figs. The woman turned out great but that Faie.......... That camp job is just stunning as are the little additions that you made.

Sweet customs Volker. I really like the camo Crank. Awesome job. The female custom is nice too, wish they would make a female head her helmet would fit over and still allow a female looking hair job.

tamer have you looked at the 25th aniversary scarlet figures?  I've used both the pony-tailed version and the bunned versions and helmets fit well over both.  they arn't hard to adapt to star wars fig's either.  I believe doc has at least one of these versions in the process of being cast.

That's all I've ever found the animated clones to be useful for are customs of female troopers.

Well, they are also useful for my son to practice painting techniques.
Sean wanted to try his hand on a Clone with a camo paint job tonight and broke out a CW trooper figure which has been painted over about four times now. We added a CW Cody head and a CW Cody helmet as well as a blater pack on his right shoulder plate and a belt pouch.

He did the basecoat of slate grey and the first set of camo dots. Then patience desterted my young Padawan and he pursued other meaningful occupations such as watching a TV report on the world's most dangerous water rides, leaving me to finish the job.

tell that guy his paint scheme rocks.  I don't trust my kids with paint... lol they are little hethens.  a few months ago my youngest tried to super glue something he'd broken back together and wound up gluing his fingers together as well as his eyelid shut....  THAT was fun.

Gotta love an ARF in flecktarn!  *I* have trouble finishing camo projects like that.

I know Sean doesn't yet have the patience to do a camo scheme, but if he wants to try it, I let him do it (when I'm around).
At least he's been slapping on the basecoat of slate grey over his previous paintjob and did the first run of camo dots on the upper armor.

The camo scheme started looking like Flecktarn only when the brown dots joined the sand-yellow and green dots. Sand-yellow and green looks like the old SS pea-camo pattern and I didn't want that on a figure.

If you're using superglue, contact the manufacturer for their "debonder". This stuff is very helpful when you superglue stuff to yourself or your fingers together. It saves you the trouble of using a scalpel or seeing your doc.

Nice work by the whole family. I have trouble keeping on task too, and a base coat might be farther than I get in one session.
I like the camo look and the weathering sets it off IMO.
Great job.
