Science Team Tau: Issue 1
« on: July 29, 2014, 04:22:48 PM »
Here's the very first page of my new sci-fi comic, Science Team Tau! I've been working on this comic for over two years now, and I finally am able to start producing actual artwork for it!

I have altered the action figure. Pray I don't alter it further.

Bonus: here's an in-progress shot so you can see how I set up my characters! There really is no end to the usefulness of 1:18 scale figures.

So far, so good.  Interested to see where this goes.  A couple nice elements in play already, even in just a couple of pages.

It's hard to comment too much when the story is just getting started, but keep it up!  (might be wiser to wait until you had maybe five or six pages to post at once instead of one at a time...just a thought.)

Here is page three! I foresee myself having a lot of fun with Doctor Pel's dialogue in future issues.

Dr. Pel seems like a cross between Spock and Dr. McCoy from Star Trek. Logical and cantankerous all at the same time. Nice Job!

Excellent work, I love the artwork so far, the project looks very creative, especially as you are using your own artwork.

Thank you! Classic Star Trek is a big influence on this project. I wanted to present the Ministry and the various Science Teams as sort of a Section 31-type organization, only a little nicer.

I love classic Star Trek. I have the complete series on DVD. I like a few of the old movie series and also took a shine to the Next Generation and it's spin-offs, but don't ask me what I think of this re-boot crap. It ain't Star Trek.

I really like your comic series.

These are great images, are you planning on putting them all together into one chapter when you get them finished?

I'm actually going to release each completed issue as a pdf, complete with a front and back cover and a few extra pages, like a letters from the editor page and a concept art section!

I've found a home to host the comic on, so if anyone wants to read the latest pages (plus a few minor changes in the first few pages) you can view it at Science Team Tau on Tapastic!

Reminds me a bit of photobucket.

I do hope you will post the full first chapter when you are done with it so I can share it with folks too.

The web-comic and graphic fiction folks just don't get enough love I think! Manipulating graphics for this site everyday I can appreciate somewhat what folks have to go through that do that.
