To me the helmets looked a little off on the images on ebay. When RC-1136 shared in-hand images, I was taught better. Still, the troopers were too expensive for me. If I remember correctly each of them was about $10 shipped. Recently I found an offer for $22.99 plus $7 shipping. My first batch arrived last week and I'm happily surprised so that I want to share my next review on them"

"Hi All,
GI Joe, Adventure Team, The mouth of Doom 1:12 scale.
Recipe.
Figure & Equipment - The body, jacket, belt and water bottle are from Damtoys and the head is from a Hasbro BS 6" Death Star Trooper. The pants were my first time sewing and the boots are from a Hasbro Ghostbusters Egon and the socks were made using left over material and the machete is made using plastic card and balsa wood and the sheath was made using pleather.
The raft was made using balsa dowel and string and the pole was carved from balsa wood, The box was made using plastic card and the rifle is from a Madelman figure and the sling is pleather, the croc is from Schleich and I repainted it green
Base - is high density foam and the ground work is spakfilla which was watered down and while drying I sprinkled mulch over it and dead tree I got from the garden.
The grass tufts are from MiniNatur and the bushes are from Woodland Scenics and the spikey looking plants I picked up of ebay. The water was down using resin and I mixed a small amount of medium brown into.

Ishi Tib head (had to rebuild the neck ball-joint), Klaatu body, some paint and wash. I know the Ishi aliens have claw-hands, but this was easier, kept wrist-articulation, and looks cool to me."

"Old customs, new pics. These are a couple of my oldest custom figures.
First, the tall guy; the chest, arms, crotch, and legs are from the Skiff Guards Cinema Scene Nikto figure (POTF 1999), the hands are from Ketwol (POTF 2001)
Second, shorty's head is Weequay (POTF 1999) (I cut off the braids, and used sculpey to make a head-wrap)
I made these in 2004-2005, but updated some worn paint, and added a couple pouches to the tall guy's belt last year.

"And this is an update to an older Mandalorian custom. While working on the Mandalorian inspired weathered-looking Imperial remnant platoon, and thinking a little about old-west Indian scouts, and got to thinking maybe this remnant platoon hired a local scout to guide them.
Plus, it's just fun painting these all dirty."

"Today has been about the windows. I started by cutting a couple of pieces of perspex to fit the windows. I broke the the plastic to look like broken windows. I cut bolsa wood for the window frames and glued them into place.
The next step is to either use the plastic or use plastic film with tissue paper and fit it behind the frame."

"Using a light brown, I sponged it across the floor. I made up a dark brown wash and sponged across the walls and then over the floor after the light brown had dried. The pillar was sponge painted with the same mix for the walls, dry brushed with the light brown and then sponged the dark brown wash over it. The rear wall was dry brushed also with the light brown. The doors where airbrushed with gun metal grey.
The next steps will be to dry brush the other two walls before adding the greebles and the windows."
He is definitely bringing this one home!

"The client requested a free standing pillar be added to the build. Taking two 1.5? x 12? 15 mm strips of foamboard, I whipped up a free standing pillar, added the brick work and base coated black.
When it’s dry I will use the same technique on it as I used on the walls."

Oh my, this Warhammer virus got me... I guess I have meanwhile purchased that much figures and bitz I can work on for years. While assembling my Assault Squad I decided to do some more customizing.
Painting goes slow, mainly because I had some difficulties with the fast drying acrylic colors while painting the details on the figures so I switched to oils.

"Hi Yarders
I promise I’ll finish Asyr Sei’lar soon. I resculpted the head about a dozen times and did a lot of body work. It’s taken forever.
In the meantime, I’d love to show this off.
Its a completed commission From about two years ago.
He is Fuzzy Fett, a Wookiee Mandalorian inspired by a pic I saw on Pinterest.
The base figure is an old Wookiee warrior to which I added double hinged elbows and knees and rocker ankles.
The helmet and armor are original sculpts.
The blunderbuss blaster is a tricked out Lancer droid lance merged with some old out of scale, plastic rifle. The size worked out well.
Eat your heart out Chewie.

"After another busy week I have finally gotten back to working on this project.
To start with I have cut an L shaped walkway which fits in the top left corner. A doorway was cut out on the left wall, sitting on top of the walkway.
I have added another section of foam between the two windows also marked out the brick work. It has been glued into place and clamped down while the glue dries.
To finish off while the glue dries I have cut two door from bolsa wood."
Oh yeah, he definitely made great progress!

I started working on my second version of Darth Sion. This one shall be closer to the reference material. So I took two Indiana Jones figures for a kit-bash. Now, the second version is 0.5 cm (.2 inch) taller than the first one. I couldn't find any reference about the size of Darth Sion online."
I like the taller one! He is also showing us work on his Atris and Darth Traya.

I figure most of you know, but just in case I wanted to post on this again. It sounds like this time out we are going to get a lot of new Razor Crest reveals. I sure hope they announce a new tier unlock. I am gonna need some carbo freezies for my Crest!

I really liked the female Wookie Starchaser shared a few days ago and asked for more pictures. He has so nicely obliged. I have seen custom wookie females before, but I have to say this is the first one I think that really gives a feminine look. It would really be cool to see a Wookie Female in one of the new SW Series.
And if you haven't seen Starchaser's latest custom update you are in for a treat. Just call it early Halloween!

I made a second tank; one is the command variant and the other is a hunter/killer. I also added a rocket package to the APC to make it something similar to the Russian BMP."

"Here is a custom ARC Trooper Jesse. I used the same recipe of 3d printed parts I made earlier form my ARC Trooper Fives and applied it to my Custom Jesse from earlier.
Kama was made with cloth and the patterns along with the straps were made from Electrical tape."
It sure looks spot on to me!

"I've added magnetic tape to the walls and floor and then finished marking up brickwork on the middle wall. I cut the two windows as requested for the back wall. The wall on the right I have cut away an Alcove for the garage and an extra door.
The next step is to make the raised walkway and cut the door alcoves for the left wall."

I’ve been commissioned to create a warehouse display for a client, this piece will be 20? x 20? x 12?. The only specification my client has given me, is he would like two large windows on the central wall. What I have decided is one wall will have a door or two, sat upon a raised walkway running the length of the wall. The opposite wall I will add a garage door."
His Jedha Dio was just awesome and I can't wait to see what he gets into with this one.

I was so stoked earlier in the week when I got a decent box in from Amazon and after a cursory glance I didn't see any damage.

Jazwares 3.75 inch Halo figures are out. I missed most of them at my local Target, but was able to pick up the Brite Captain. This figure is massive (5.5 inches tall) and only cost $9.99 US. I've uploaded pictures of the figure. I'm going to call these "true to scale" as the Master Chief figure was taller than a Star Wars character. The first series includes a Jackal Sniper, a pilot, a Marine, the Brute shown below, MC and a Spartan (white armor):"

Here's the lot of 10 troopers (5 of each), which I ordered on September 21, 2020. As many times before, it (only) took 9 days 'til they arrived in Germany. The date stamps on each figure's feet say
2008 Hasbro LFL CHINA.
They came in the usual plastic envelope/folded plastic bag."

"Hi All,
Imperial Patrol Speeder 1:12 completed.
Recipe.
Figures - are from Hasbro's BS 6" line and I just gave them a wash of Matt Black then gave the uniform a light dry brush of Pale Grey.
Speeder - has been made using foam board, plastic card, 1:35 Maschinen Krieger parts. The weapons is from Bandai Stormtrooper and the decals are from various Bandai Star Wars kits.
Base - is high density foam cut to shape and the small exhaust vents were made using plastic tube, Bandai Star Wars parts and greeblies. The speeder, figures and base were painted and weathered using Vallejo paints.

Talk about one awesome Speeder. I don't know why we haven't seen something like this in the movies, tv shows, etc. You know they would have had speeders like this!
