"Hi All,
I have painted and weathered the Bunyip by first spraying a coat of Rustoleum Matt Black and then Tamiya Dark Sand and then dry brushed it with Vallejo Desert Sand. I then used sand paper and did alot of wear/tear to it as it's seen it's fair share of battles plus the Australian desert environment is pretty harsh. I used decals from the Hasegawa Maschinen Krieger Gustav kit and the from Tamiya. I still need to add equipment and then weather it with padtel chalks."
It sure looks tough to me!

"Through some trial and error I'm working on the eye lights. For the eyes themselves I'm using acrylic rod pieces. Then I put a red light through the back of the head.
I sliced open the back side of the head in order to position everything easier. I don't know how I'll do the Sparks. I ordered a flashing warm light and .03" fiber optic cable."
He is really going to town on this new project.

"Hi All,
Completed scratch building my next Maschinen Krieger vehicle which is 1:35 scale and this is a Mercenary vehicle which is called the BUNYIP it's a medium recon vehicle with a PWG-100 laser canon and a PWM-50 laser gun and has a crew of two (driver and commander) . I used the turrets and parts from two Hasegawa Maschinen Krieger 1/35 Nutcracker vehicle kits and also parts from a Tamiya Merkava and Sherman tank and also plastic card and rod and the crew arecfrom MasterBox.

"I'm putting Dagobah on hold for a bit. But I wanted to get started on Babu Frik's workbench. It's 6" scale so of course I'm not doing the whole shop, just the chair/workbench. I just used styrene sheets, rods and trusses. My reference pictures are blurry and grainy, so I'm not sure what exactly the design is. What I thought was part of the chair is actually part of the wall behind. So I kept it simple."

"Something I've been thinking about for awhile. I wanted an updated Asajj Ventress. I swapped the legs for some fully articulated legs from Luminara Unduli. I don't remember why I cut it originally, but I had to rebuild the peg on the Luminara legs (pictured below). I also glued the trimmed-down Marauders hood onto a second head in order to get the hood to sit low and correctly. And I added a Bad Mother slide-off sticker Sith symbol."
Looks good and evil to me!

"Wow, occasionally I'm just going to stumble across an old custom (or two) in one of many figure-bins.
I made these easy-head-swap figures 15 years ago when the Saga Jedi youngling figures came out (2003). The first uses the old POTF2 Greedo head and hands, and the second uses the AOTC Kamino Escape Boba Fett head and hands.
Here they are pictured with the other younglings from the bin."
These look great. We so need more of these types of characters in our SW Verse.

"Early 2019 it became known that the Dutch EchoBase foundation would hold a special Star Wars charity con in December. All proceeds of the convention would go to the Dutch foundation KiKa (Children Cancer free). I immediately got in touch with the organisation and shared my idea of making a special custom figure for this awesome cause.
Last Saturday the convention was held and it was a fun small scaled event. I am super proud to share the final winning bid for my custom figure came in at a whopping 120 euros (roughly 130 USD)!.
So, not without some sense of pride,
here's the figure I made, a repaint of K2-SO in the colours of the KiKa foundation, aptly renamed K1-KA"
Congratulations Remco, just an awesome thing to do and one great custom.

He relies on a small security team for his protection and relies on the Devaronian smuggler, Vilmarh Grahrk for obtaining all of his curiosities."

"Instead of gluing the guns into place, I've been asked to add pegs for the guns to sit on.
The pegs are made from wooden toothpicks, cut down to size. To paint them, I've stuck them into a piece of foam board and sprayed them black.
This is now complete and ready to ship to my client."
That is gonna be one smiling customer!

"Hi All,
I decided to make another Maschinen Krieger diorama and I have completed the figure and satellite and now just to paint them.
This diorama will depict a Kauz space suit looking at a laser satellite to see if it requires any maintenance. The mech suit is a conversion from a Melusine suit and I used parts from the parts box.
The satellite was made using parts from a 1/72 Saturn rocket cargo bay section also parts from 1/35 parts, Star Trek parts and plastic card and rod.
The satellite/Kauz dio and base is completed and I used Vallejo paints to paint and weather them and the base was covered in watered down spakfilla."
Ron just makes everything look awesome!

Well I am fresh off a nights sleep after watching Episode 9. I am still going over in my head what I thought and of course I would love to know what you though of the film. We have both an intitial reaction thread with no spoilers and then one to rant and rave after watching the film (warning spoilers galore will be found there).
Remember, we are all gonna like or not like some things and lets respect others' opinions.

"Berserker Mercenary (Human)
Mercenaries can be hired in just about any seedy spaceport in the galaxy. Whatever your needs, from basic vibroblade wielding brutes to professionally trained ex-soldiers, if you have cold hard credits, you can hire as many mercenaries as you need (or can afford) to do the desired jobs.
This was a simple exercise to try and remove some of the cartoonier aspects of the "Fortnite" figures to make them better fit into the "Spectreverse". The "Fortnite" figures' larger, chunkier designs make finding appropriately scaled replacement parts difficult."
I like them a lot! They sure fit in well with any of your Spacer type customizing.

"Anybody out there good with digital effects or know reliable apps that work good for this? I've found one for lightsabers, but it only has red/green that look right. Any advice or suggestions would help. My skills are more practical stuff (i.e., explosives, customs, photography, etc).

"Mostly this is a GI Joe roadblock figure with a Marvel Universe Deathlok head. I made it a few years ago so I don't remember all of the alterations. I'm pretty sure I had to paint the skin tone on the arms. I changed the pouches on the vest, added the drop-down holsters, and added the greeble piece on his back. That's not really a thing from the comics, I just liked how it looks."

I was perusing Wal-Mart yesterday evening before a Christmas Concert after seeing all the great deals lately on the vintage stuff and found the Medal Ceremony Luke for half off. Wish I had seen these when I was putting in my order for the VC Hutt Playsets (still at 50% off btw), but that just gives me another reason to put in a new order.

"Here's a new Star Wars custom JUMPSPEEDER vehicle. This custom 1:18 scale Jumpspeeder is for 3.75" action figures and it features a storage compartment with removable cover, a custom emergency lantern, steering column that can be manually raised and lowered, and steering controls that can be manually moved forward and back. I designed this custom speeder in 3d software and then custom 3d printed the finished custom Jumpspeeder seen in the pictures. This type of speeder can be seen in Clone Wars and Rebels shows.

Hoth attack dio completed.
Recipe
AT-AT foot and Figures - are all from Hasbro and I just repainted and weathered the AT-AT foot/Luke display using Vallejo Paints. The rest of the figures I glued the joints and puttied them and then repainted and weathered them using Vallejo Paints
Base - is high density foam cut to shape and then the figures/display were glued to the base and once dry I used spakfilla to make the snow.

All proceeds will go to a Dutch foundation battling child cancer (called KiKa) and for that I have made a custom K2SO repaint, featuring the orange and purple colours of the foundation.

"OMG! I'm SO excited about this! Probably it's not done yet; I want to do a dais or chair of some kind, and I'm thinking a nose ring or some tattoos would look cool, but for now he's good enough to share.
I make SO many fan-fic goons I started thinking I should make a rival (or partner) fan-fic Hutt as well. Inspired by art from the Art of the Phantom Menace book (first image below) I wanted a Hutt who could still upright. I've been thinking about this for awhile, but a couple days ago I found a Clone Wars Jabba with broken arms for a dollar on local classifieds. I'll write a second post about the process."
Make sure you see how he did it. He has really documented his process well. I have always wondered how these were put together.

"New this morning! Well, actually I swapped the arms and painted the maroon 10 or 12 years ago, but last night and this morning I added a bunch of greebles, the neck wrap, and some detail and weathering paint. Fun build!"

"So I picked up a new brush set and wanted to show off what I could do with it.
First, I fixed Ventress' eyes, eyeliner, added lipstick, etc. No more glancing upwards!
Next I dry brushed Palpatine's hologram to look more realistic!"

Beta Octo –The Electrical Man
Head is SW BB-8, body/torso/legs are a Ben 10 Steam Smythe and the tanks on the back are a jet pack from a Tomorrowland Young Frank reactions figure. The staff is a Fortnite electrical staff and the lantern is from a Disney Atlantis Milo Thatch figure. The clock belt buckle is from Idea-ology charm set.
Black Rezzlah – Hanch Assassin
Head is a Minimates Battle Beasts The Tarantual figure, and the body arms and legs are SW Asajj Ventress (3 of them in the case of the arms. The holsters and pistols are from a SW Clone Wars Animated Boba Fett (Child), the flame throwers are Minimates Aliens Space Marines and the axes are from LOTR Balin the Dwarf. I think this might be my most successful multi-armed figure I have made. Of course insect/arachnid joints don’t have to look as smooth as fleshy mammal joints."

"I made this one two or three years ago. The body is a GI Joe, the head is Marvel Universe, the accessories are mostly Marauder Task Force, and the slide-off decal is, once again, Bad Mother Tattoos! I had to cut the chest decal because it sits right across the mid-chest articulation (ended up using two to get the look right).
And since I had Frank out for new photos I got to thinking about a project idea, and knocked it out today. I've been thinking about this for awhile, and finally made the time. He'll be getting new Marauder body armor too, but that's still on the workbench. Marauder Contract Ops figure (swapped around some colors to get matching shirt and shoes), Marvel Universe head, and Bad Mother again."

"I started this one at least 15 years ago. For a long time it was just a simple head and hand swap. This morning I changed the front belt-pouch, added the neck wrap, painted the leg warmers, and weathered the whole figure. I think it looks a lot better now. Jawa in the pic for size reference."

"Huge update since I last posted due to starting my new job.
I undercoated the model with black then base coated with grey.
The guns I undercoated with GW Chaos black spray paint and then airbrushed them with GW's Leadbelcher. When they dried I coated them with GW's Nuln Oil, with the three shotguns I have added a touch of GW's Steel Drab Brown."
It looks great to me.

"War Machine weapons upgrade.
The right hand arm-mounted gun is a new addition, pretty sure it's a cut-down Halo weapon with a custom muzzle brake.

Both War Machine custom figures are probably 5 or 8 years old.
I don't even remember where a bunch of these parts came from. Left arm stock gun has a longer barrel, and a new shotgun (from Marauders parts)."

"Here's one of my all time favorite custom figures. I copied Marauder Ruben (FB) a bit on this one (his idea to use the WM arm).
Most of this figure is a Marauder Terra-Ops figure. Marauder figures have holes in the shoulder and above the ankle for inserting the pegs of Marauder add-ons like pouches or knife sheaths. On this guy I sculpted over the boot and shoulder holes because I wanted a cleaner look. The shoulder sculpting became pockets where I added Bad Mother Tattoo slide-off Cobra stickers."

"So here is my basic layout for the Dagobah "My home this is" diorama. I ran out of foam board, however I do have small pieces. I might just use this extra shelf, that I use as a template, for the base.
The first scene I'm going to work on is when Yoda says "Mud hole? Slimy? My home this is." That part still makes me laugh. I am going to make a custom R2-D2, out of several different figures, unfortunately. I want to light up the lamp, and make a custom orange lantern power cell thing."
This is gonna be great!

"So I'm not great a process shots, because I find it hard to stop and take pictures in the middle of working on figures. But anyhow here is a shot of the figures I'm currently working on all together. Most are fully assembled and just need paint, but there are a few I'm still working on the builds for, like the clone trooper (gonna be a medic) and the Gand (it's gonna be a bounty hunter, I just want the trooper armor for the upper body and arms. Plus that body is too tall.)

I reached out and she said she would ship the missing part. As things stand, I am 90% finished; just need to apply Separatist kill markers and add the missing cannon.

"Hi All,
1:35 scale Maschinen Krieger, Gustav Repair completed
Figure's - are from Miniart and the pilot is from set #37005 USMC Tank crew and the mechanics are from set #35285 German tank crew at work (Special Edition). The Gustav is from Hasegawa and it comes with two figures and is set #64102, The special edition tank crew set comes with plastic and photo etched tools and parts and the other tools and equipment are from Italeri is set #419 Field tool shop.
Base - I added rocks using kitty litter except for the large rock which my son got for me from school LOL. The ground work is a mix of fine sand and spakfilla and once applied and dried I painted and weathered it and the rocks using Vallejo Paints. The tent/shelter frame work was made using thin plastic rod as were the pegs and the cover is tissue and the rope is black cotton and was painted and weathered with Vallejo Paints.

"I've kitbashed some parts to go on my tank; I made two blaster cannons from pen parts and leftover gunship missiles. I also used two small plastic throw away pieces from a fold out ladder I recently purchased to make equipment bins that are attached to the tank. The main inspiration for that was the tank from the WWII movie, Fury. Finally, I trimmed some weed whacker wire to make radio antennas lines. I added small springs for realism."
I can't wait to see this all go together.

Talk about one fantastic Gunship build. How he tooks those ball turrets and reinforced them, cut precise holes in the doors for them to rotate, and just the overall details he incorporated into this show what a ship this can be.

"Minor update of my TESB Vader.
The Hot Toys cape consists of a double layer fabric which is ideal for my little experiment of adding a wire to it for some dynamic poses.
I wanted to attempt this with minimum effort and without modifying the cape or cutting any stitching."

"Thanks again for all of the feedback- I really appreciate it! I've had some time this week to whip up another custom figure that I am excited to share with you, and she's not a barge reveler. As many of you surely know, The Mandalorian series on Disney+ is a massive amount of fun. If for some reason you haven't seen it yet, check it out! Sadly, 3.75" collectors have zero individually-carded characters currently available from the new series. So, while we are still waiting for main characters and perhaps indefinitely for any and all of the others, I put together one of my favorites from the show thus far.
