"To do the job, I chose these minitronics yellow button leds with resistors pack at the train store the other day. They are small enough to fit in the recess of each fog light lense and their leads can be bent in towards the interior of the car, keeping the front wheel wells free."

Long story short: I didn't make it home on time because my train was late...still I got one. And it's already paid via PayPal. As far as I know the first 310 units sold within 3 minutes - less than I expected with over 2,300 people watching . But the first 400 had sold by 15 minutes after the offer went live and now the auction is ended (3:15 pm EST).
This could mean two things.
1. Hasbro sell them in bits to maintain control.
or
2. There were only 400 for the international market (which I don't want to believe). There must be around 1,000 units left for the international market, which still aren’t many."

"Rob Brown's current progress with his AT-Hauler in plastic. He devised a "stopper" pin for the rotating arm joint (which stops it from rotating too far back and too far forward)."

"I got it together but even with the headlight leds mounted very close, there is still a lot of interior illumination, I even used doubled up typing paper as a block for the tail light area and quite a bit bled through. May have to try something else."

"I have this carrera Evolution Cobra that I chipped over the weekend and I knew I wanted a different color for its fog lights. Check these little jobbers out. At the end of the twisted wire on my finger. Smaller than what I showed before And certainly not as bright. You could fit these little things anywhere. Good for a 6 inch Vader chest plate with blinking sequenced multicolored lights if you liked."
I like the way he is thinking with this! There is always a new variation or iteration to try out.

"The charger still reminds me of the orange car I have in my garage. I have been watching a set of 01 stickers for the doors for years now.
The factory traction aide magnets in the charger make it stick to the side of the door like that. Stronger than I thought."

"Well, I did have a photo build log of my 1/6 SSC Bespin (with mynock) and Hasbro Hoth Han (with Taun taun version) Solo mods but thanks to a firmware update on my phone's OS, the folder with the pics got swallowed by the internet data monster so I only took a few shots of where they both stand at the moment."
That is just the start of his update folks. It is really interesting to see how he improves his offering through the use of better parts and sculpts.

"Hi All,
1:35 SAS jeep North Africa WW2.
Recipe.
Jeep/figures - are from Tamiya and is kit #35033, it is an older kit but still awesome to make. The only things I did was I removed the handles that that jerry cans had as there was no middle handle and replaced them with the normal three handle style.
I used paper cut thin for the straps and the slings on the equipment and weapons."

"I'm pretty much finished this Kashyyyk Swamptrooper AT-RT driver. I made a webbing out of folded aluminum foil, then glued on a holster and pouches. I weathered him using paint thinner and alternating green and white washes to give the painted armor a worn look."

"I debated and just crammed some factory led boards back between the rear screw housing and the rear fascia for the tail lights. I figured the front would be a chore so make the back easy."

"Got my card stock cut and glued into place along with the legless driver. The chip track and motor connections are soldered and shrink wrapped, I’m figuring my lights out now. Not much room and particular pass through spots for the plastic lenses are the problem. We will find something that will work. It’s a 69 camaro this time."
Now that looks pretty cool. He needs to put a Mad Max Driver in his Interceptor!

"I started working on a driver for the AT-RT. It's a kitbashed mimban Stormtrooper lower body and arms. Snowtrooper commander upper torso. Han Solo mudtrooper mask. AT-ST driver helmet (removed chin strap). I painted it using Tamiya dark green."

First, hats off to Hasbro for creating that second shipping carton directly inside the first shipping box as the small corner crushes and one cable tie slice did not do any damage to my vintage deco box inside!
Second, hats off the the FedEx Delivery Driver who seemed almost as excited as I was to see what was in the box as well as make sure I was satisfied with the package. She was definitely a good example of an excellent delivery person and I am lucky I have her on my home route.

"And here are the completed pics. No lights this time, just power from the track to the chip and from the chip to the motor. Some careful supergluing secures the chip to the frame which I modified a bit for room the same way as the super bird. I mounted the chip slightly cocked this time, to allow for room under the chip where the frame wouldn’t clear."
I can't imagine soldering all those small spots!

"Been messing around with yet another of my SSC 1/6 figures this time Padme and SSC Han Solo Bespin version.
Padme was first up.
Stripped her down of clothing to access the arms and head... the body is in good shape with no loose joints.
Changing the head sculpt was a mish because the neck plug didn't want to co-operate so I had to attack it with my heat gun."
He really made her looks better. This is just the start of a very thorough rebuild.

"Z-95 Headhunter" by Bad Batch Customs
When Bad Batch Customs started this project, we had no idea we would eventually be working on it ourselves. It all started when Bad Batch finished their LAAT-C. As soon as they wrapped the project, they asked for some input on what to tackle next. I chimed in that if you are going to make a Clone Wars vehicle it had to be the vehicle we all begged Hasbro for, but never received...the Z-95 Headhunter. Bad Batch didn't back down from the challenge and got to work.

When the project was nearing completion, Bad Batch asked Elias if he could make a "Clone Pilot Hawk" to man the ship's controls and sit in its cockpit. Elias got right to work and had the figure completed 24 hours later. We shipped Hawk off in the mail right away to his final resting place at the home of Bad Batch Customs."
That sure did turn out nice. Scroll around as there is a great add on to your Max Rebo you can add too.

"After some dry time and some cleanup, the plaster is ready to stain using this asphalt top coat. Next to that bottle is my Ronson gas powered soldering iron that has a handy heat gun application I have been using to quicken the plaster drying process a bit."

"After all that trouble, here comes the payoff. I had drilled some holes in the chassis in front of the headlight board to feed the orange nano leads down so they pointed/touched the back protruding spire of these clear pieces they mounted in the front fascia as fog lights. As bright as these nano lights are, I knew they would make these clear pieces glow brightly mounted in this way."

Got up this morning to find this in my inbox. Needless to say I am pretty happy.

"I made my rendition of a Kashyyyk trooper commander. I used Scarif trooper lower body, and upper arms, snowtrooper commander upper torso, and lower arms. Dengar gloves and AT-ST driver Han helmet. It was all painted using Tamiya German Grey. That's about it, a real simple thing."

"Trying something different, I’m using these woodland scenics orange nano leds for the interceptors fog lights. Their compact design allows for some bright light in a tight space. In my palm, below the wires black part, that silver glint is one of the wires soldered to the back of the nano chip. Pretty tiny stuff."

"The factory DPR cover was removed. This gives access for their factory digital chip installation with a quick plug. I plopped the carrera chip over the hole lining up its screw hole with the cover screw hole and, it worked to mount the chip in the perfect position. Some extra ground clearance for the polarity switch and led light may be achieved by making and inserting a spacer above the chassis and below the chip.
So far so good."
Wow, these aren't the slot cars I remember. These things have all kinds of plugs!

"I've been home for a little over 2 weeks and during my downtime, started some updates on both my 1/6 Sideshow Anakin's, started on a modified 1/6 Sideshow Han Solo (Bespin version) and a 1/6 Hasbro Han Solo (Hoth version with Taun Taun), but I'll leave that huge post for another day... so mean while... I took on a much smaller modification.

"Time is short and the second stingray is ready to solder up and put back together. Tested and working, this time, I used two seperate orange tower leds for the front with fiber optic fed from each as before. For the tail lights, I chose two small leds and glued them into a position I thought would illuminate the rod we used in the super bird. I found that if I removed the silver bezel piece, the remaining holes fit the rod perfectly. I’ll install the rod pieces last."
It is easy to see Clint sure knows a lot about how this all wires up. I would be lost in two seconds!

"Hi All,
Kubelwagen Radio card dio completed-1/35 scale.
Recipe.
Figures/car - The Kubelwagen is from Tamiya and is kit #35213 and is built straight out of the box. The radio bench is scratch built using plastic card and the radio set is an old Verlinden kit that I did years ago and using it here after the dio it was on got broken when moving."

They had the Mimban Stormtrooper out in full force at my local Wal-Mart. I have to say though out of a peg full only one could be described as mint on card. All of the others had dings, scratches, creases, etc. which doesn't matter one bit if you are an opener! Good luck with your searches!
