"Sorry guys I have another long update for you!
After doing a black undercoat, I have base coated with a light burnt umber. The idea is to them layer with a couple of different tones of brown before weathering.
I purchased an animation kit from the company I am building these sets for. During this time of lockdown due to Covid-19 it is time to road test these commission pieces for what they will be used for. Model sets are for children’s animation lessons based at the Science Museum in Bradford. My daughter is having lots of fun with Jerry the blob, this is the first of many animation videos she is making to show her teacher one of many new skills she is learning from home."
Now that is just cool!

I was able to get a few Mandalorian figures and I sold the display to a mate and I asked him how he wanted the figure to be posed so I went to work and this is it. I was so stoked that I could get the figures as the display just didn't look right without him on it."

"Been meaning to make a couple more Ewoks (2nd new one should be ready in a few days). This one is a pretty simple kitbash; some face-fur paint, trimmed and painted the hood, added and painted the belt, and stuck another weathered helmet on a spear."

I’m working on that other eye for this clone. The important part to achieve at this scale especially, is to have those pupils pointed in the same direction so he doesn’t look odd.
I’m trying to follow the direction of his eyebrows to dictate the eye shape a little bit."

"I made the boot gaiters and cod piece using a white balloon. Pretty simple. Then I attached the holster to his right boot. I just need to adjust the neck and hollow the backplate."

"I was able to get the TVC Death Star gunner finally. I was really impressed with it, so much I chopped it up into pieces. Muhahaha! Not really. I like it because it can be used as a base figure for any number of customs. At first I was going to make a TIE pilot, but then I thought we really need desperately a new scout trooper. I've been spoiled by the Rogue one Stormtrooper so much that all other troopers look inferior."

"Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Really, there is no pattern, just reference material that I used and made it up as I went. I did some drawings and used the Star Wars Chronicle and Sculpting a Galaxy books to determine proportions. My original plans had this thing being twice as big, but scaled it way back.

I have a commander cody who could use some 212th members but I also want two standard phase 2 501st.... should I turn the remaining two trooper bodies onto 501st or 212th?

4 Seater Troop Compartment: I cut away the rear panel of the vehicle to put in an access ramp, this section was the lid from a plastic container. I used the metal rods from an umbrella to attach the ramp (old umbrellas come in useful)."

"And the molds turned out better than expected. Here is the first run of the two pieces, cleaned up with a knife but not sanded yet. That clone head turned out great. He kind of reminds me of the head that came with the first retaliation Firefly figure. that or Bilbo. I can’t wait to paint one."

Folks there are 16 new custom figures to peruse and two that initially stand out to me (all are great though) are these:
"SKULL-MAUS – Assassin Droid
Rabaxian Culumni, manufacturer of the ubiquitous Mosue Droid, has always maintained a covert division focused on espionage and black ops. For the right price you can smuggle Imperial Secrets or assassinate you local Black Sun leader. The SKULL-MAUS was one of their most terrible projects. Designed to removed the Senator from Praxis 1, it completed its mission, but then failed to self destruct. Instead the little bastard went rogue and now performs private hits for the Pyke Syndicate.
FX-H3V – Service Droid
The mines are all the FX-H3V has ever known. Using his laser drill it bores shaft after shaft in the desolate asteroid that is KV-4869. Using its reinforced limbs it hauls out ton after ton of ore, destined for the Transparasteel smelter on Burnin Konn. FX-H3V wouldn't know what to do with itself on some fancy planet like Jakku or Tatooine. It knows the rock and that is its home."

"Thank you all so much for your comments, likes and shares. I'm glad I persevered with this, I almost binned it at one point.
The Droid compartment: A TLC Build-a-droid astromech body already fit nicely into the existing socket on top of the vehicle, but I decided to put a lift in so it could pop-up into the socket. I cut out the side panels to put an access ramp. I have always found it frustrating when vehicles have hollow insides, but don't have any access to it (so I'm looking forward to getting TVC Troop Transporter)."

"When mezco started showing their amazing batman figures I wanted one but when I found out the price there was no way I was going to spend that on a figure. So after a while of searching online I found a ebay auction for mezco batman parts, I paid 27 dollars plus shipping and got to work on building when it arrived."

"Hi all. Here's more information on the custom 1:18 scale Expanded Universe Imperial Swamp Crawler I started showing on my custom figures thread, here:

This was originally a 'soldier force' vehicle, I would have preferred to use the grey version of this as a base vehicle, but I could only get hold of the green one. I think it is based on a German TPz Fuchs. I used various plastic bottles, egg cartons, and lids to "Star Wars-ify" it.

"I was walking through my local train station the other day when I suddenly took notice of an unused space which I walk past every day. I’ve decided to use this as inspiration on my fourth piece. The side walls I’ve cut in two doorways, which will be given doors. The brick work has also been drawn on and ready to be scored."

"Here's an Expanded Universe vehicle and crew - Imperial Swamp Crawler/Troop Transporter.
Inspired by the Mimban Crawler from Splinter Of The Mind's Eye. I started work on this about the same time as the Luke & Leia (Mimban Miner Disguises) and have recently got around to finishing it. I'll share more details and images of the vehicle soon, for now here's the crew."

"Hi All,
A mate got himself a WW2 Captain America with the motorbike and asked would a customize it for him. So after a quick talk with him this is the result.
Recipe.
Cap/Bike - are both from Hasbro and are 1:12 scale and I removed the windscreen and added brake hoses using old electrical cable. The shield is from the Cap and Agent Carter set which was painted and the bike was also repainted with the mud being made using spakfilla/sand and paint. Cap was put into position and his joints were glued and then filled in and his head was removed and part of the neck section was removed to make the head sit lower to make it more realistic.
Cap and his gear were repainted and weathered and the map is from a 1:35 Verlinden map set and was perfect for this build as it is a lot larger then the other maps.
Base - is an old base that was going to be used for another project back in 2012 but that project fell thru so it was ideal for this and the mud is the same that was used on the bike and cap.

I was perusing Facebook yesterday as I was looking for updates on the Coronavirus outbreak and saw something really awesome. This is Colin's Heavy Mandalorian in 3.75" Scale. Then, after saying this would look good on a vintage card, Sebastion Earnhart made one. Awesome customizers both.

"First up is my custom Din Djarin from The Mandalorian
I wanted a more screen accurate helmet so I found a 1:1scale model, and scaled it to fit the 6” Black series figure
His right shoulder has magnets so it can be swapped out between a shore trooper pauldron or a Beskar pauldron. Gave him a repaint, custom cloth cape and a baby Yoda to look after as well :)

"Check out these printed 1/32 scale vending machines that I imported from the U.K. each includes a paper insert with product images and a thick piece of clear plastic that snaps into place over the insert. I think with a little work, I can install lights in the things."
How cool are those! 3D Printing is really getting us some neat things folks.

"Here's some more Classic Marvel Star Wars - Luke and Shira Brie (X-Wing Pilots). I was disappointed with the TLC Evolutions Shira Brie, so I've made a custom of her. I have done 2 heads - one with longer hair more like in the comic and another with shorter hair to be able to fit the helmet."

"Vader is my 2nd favorite sith, so I thought of different looks for him, 1st image is him with a smaller breathing mask, 2nd is how he looked at the end of return of the jedi when luke removes his helmet, 3rd is what if he survived an got proper medical treatment rather then a suit designed to keep him in constant pain, the 4th image is kanan with his eye mask."

"After getting pit row lit up again, I had the idea of using some extra guardrail and hot gluing it to the backside of the pit wall, to cover up my wiring and clean up that sides appearance somewhat."

"Back again, haven't forgotten the struggle and strife of the Rebels and Imps on planet Aranae. In light of some recent events i've been able to start making the story into a Photonovel, w/Diorama's galore.... that will happen eventually. HOWEVER I'm in need of imperial officer caps, there's 5 sizes I know of large/small black and Large/Medium/Small greyish-green."

"Okay so I got a package from Shapeways. There aren't a whole lot of 3.75 stuff, but there are some. I got a Z-6 Rotary Cannon and Magmatrooper backpack and respirator.
The Magmatrooper I painted the backpack and respirator black as they are printed translucent. I did have to add the tube connecting the respirator to the backpack, using a piece of headphone wire. Then I added the extra shin guards using greenstuff. Then weathered it."

"The loading bay I’ve undercoated with black, once dry dabbed over the bricks with Burnt Umber.
I have marked out the bay lines, white lines around steps.
I added GW Agrax Earthshade to both doors, created handles to them and glued them into places.
The Bay door has been shaded with Agrax Earthshade. Painted the door with a light grey and then dry brushed with Games Workshop Necron Compound.
With the left wall using paint pens added a little graffiti, added decals to walls. The walls and floor have been varnished to make the wipe able.
All that is left to do is paint the outside of the walls black."
As if that were not enough he has also posted updates to his Castle Room Diorama and his Loft Apartment. I am really digging the Castle Room, but all of this is just phenomenal.

"I made an Incinerator Stormtrooper inspired by the one in Mandolorian. I used TVC Stormtrooper (painted) and removed the thermal detonator to make room for the backpack."

"AMT has been trickling in re-issued kits of a vintage line of 1/32 scale car kits that were meant to be converted into slot cars. In between them, revel/monogram, and whomever else, one would have been able to come up with a working motor and slot car chassis to integrate into those old kits of this scale.
Sitting on the shelf for a while, this is the AMT 1/32 61 Ford Falcon/Ranchero. I am going to merge the interior and chassis from a Carrera 67 Mustang slot car with this body, painted and lit to become a working digital slot car. “Wayne would love this”
I agree he would. Its nice seeing old kits get new life. Speaking of life, he has also added some new greenery to his Track Diorama too.
