"Hobbits WIP

Made from the "Star Wars" "Mission Fleet" scale Kuiil and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" Bala-tik heads.

They will eventually get some further modifications and accessories to individualize them, but I am happy with how they look so far.

They scale nicely with a standard 4" figure (represented here by a "Fortnite" figure)."

They sure do look like the perfect size to me.

"Here's some alternative faces and headscarf mods for 6" TBS Hoth Rebel Troopers. This is a great figure, but I wish they had made the cap without any scarf elements on it.

The first uses a repainted face cut from 6" TBS 23 Cassian Andor. I took off the long scarf and added pieces cut from a 3.75" TVC 116 Rey Jakku scarf head around the cap. All goggles' elastic replaced with white."

"I got around to upgrading my Y-wing fleet's droopy rear landing gear. I first did this years ago, using aluminum rods and brass pieces to build replacement rods for my TVC Y-wing. I repeated this for a couple of my ships, but also found a much simpler, cheaper, and (so far) equally effective alternative."

"Today I've finished painting the plinths and then built a weapons rack based on the 80's Grayskull. Once that has been painted, it will mark the completion of this piece.

I know having a window right behind this model gives pictures and videos glare but I hope this video helps show off this piece. I will do a better video when I take my final pictures."

"This is just a test

Recently I got 6 of these cabinets. It was actually the very first time I paid attention to an add. These cabinets were advertised by a German furniture store on instagram.

Anyways I had to be patient, wasn't notified when they were coming exactly, but in the 8th week I finally received the shipping notification. But the adventure isn't over, yet.

So far I built 3 of 6 and all 3 had issues such as error parts or damages. That's a 100% reason to not recommend this product. Anyhow...I should refine my statement: If you're lucky, this cabinet can be quite good.

But here comes the problem and the reason why I have to customize all of them: The top and the bottom level have less than 4" of space, so I cannot display regular Star Wars figures on there. I could put some smaller stuff like Astromechs or Speeder Bikes on there."

So we will have to see what he says as he goes through the other three. They look pretty nice to me.

"Nearly a year since the last post! I actually sketched up the next few chapters months ago but works kept me from cleaning it up and post them.. I figure a few more updates coming sooner rather then later)

Western coast...

Lt. Sylvon had spent a near sleepless night wadding in the still ocean as she watched the tall grass at the beaches sandy edge rustle back and forth some few dozen meters past the edge of the sandbar. Her speeder bike floated in front of her between her and the beach line so Sylvon could keep behind it in case anything dangerous or hungry came out of the grass. Her prisoner, the young rebel man had his arms tied above him and to the front airfoils of the speeder bike. Neither of them spoke either out of contempt for each other or for the fear that spiked through each of them as the hisses and rustling from the tall grass grew louder and then rescinded away as if a hunter had lost it's prey and made the growling hiss sound in frustration."

"Various different accounts (probably run by the same people) sell incredible amounts of lightsabers for your 3.75" action figures on ebay now!

This time around the hilts are finally painted! And the colors of the blades look great! They're available in 4 different colors: light blue, (slightly) dark(er) blue, light green and red.

They're made of the same mold so all the hilts are the same. But you can still apply some custom paint modifications to make them look different. You can buy 100 pcs of either one color or an equally mixed bag of all 4 different ones for as low as 40 cents each!"

"I have cut two plinths 1" x 3.5" which work with either 5.5" and 7" MOTU figures when the miniatures are places on top. At the moment I have placed the plinths in a couple of places to see how they look before I start shaping each plinth."

"I was surprised when tunghori sent me a message on ebay to ask if I had already learned about his new website. I said yes, but the higher prices are one reason to not buy from him anymore. It really doesn't pay off for me anymore. It's cheaper to buy the figures new & carded from StarActionFigures in the UK. Talked to a friend about that just yesterday and we're confident that these were probably the last orders from legendary tunghori.

TVC VC180 Moff Gideon doesn't even come with the Dark Saber if you order from tunghori. But therefore it's only $9.99. So I decided to give him a Sword from the G.I. Joe Snake Eyes, one of the best articulated 3.75" figures to date in my opinion."

So the jury is still out if Tunghori's new website will make or break him.

"With the painting completed, I still felt like this piece needed something more to bring it home. To start I ordered a LED kit, I created a parallel circuit with 5 flickering LEDs so you can guess what these are going to be used for? Then using mulliput I have so far created two wall torches.

Using mulliput I have created two give wall torches. To see how it looks, I have loosely mounted them on the walk, either side of the throne. The idea is, I will have one in each corridor and the fifth next to the doorway leading to the back corridor."

"I am ready for final assembly. This one is to go downstairs so I will put the legs on and throw on that back DMD box and plug her in down there. At 90 lbs and full of sturdy legs, I wasn’t sure how it would fare down the stairs. I would say possible but awkward fully assembled and at least the DMD box should be removed.

The marquee box with the dmd and speakers is the only component that you need to assemble as the main body is already together. I’m itching to play Ghost Rider on the Marvel table even as I approach putting this one, which will certainly be better, to its initial test."

"Hi All,

Jurassic World Extinction 1:12 scale.

Recipe.

The Raptor is from Mattel and is from the Amber Collection series and I repainted it using Vallejo paints.

The building is an older build which I did for a Batman figure which I sold and had the dio sitting in the cupboard so I decided to pull it out and use it for JW Extinction dio. I cleaned the dio up and then added a little bit more weathering to it and removed the light pole and added vines which I got off ebay. The ground debri is a mix of thin sticks dried grass and leaves mixed in a blender and then applied to the base.

I am just astounded as to how his paint work has really brought out the true stone look of this dio. It looked great before, but this is really making things stand out.

"I went to the model shop yesterday to buy a kit I can make into something. I was getting tired of looking at the same parts I have.

I'll put the keg thing on the Tavern back wall, behind where the bar will be, obviously. I wanted it to look like an old world tavern, so I made a stone arch.

I decided to grout the stonework. I used watered down spackle. Then wiped it with a damp sponge, like grouting tile. It has a more blended look. "

"I have added coving around the walls, made up of individual pieces. I just need to trim the tops of the extension pieces and this (I think but don't quote me!) completes the build except for the five plinths I want to add but I think I can now start to paint this."

This is just looking spectacular with those He-Man Figures. I would think any fantasy line would rock with this type of display.

Composition: Resin, acrylic, magnets, fishing line.

Process: I began this project last August, lost a ton of progress in September, took some time away from it, and finished engineering it in February. I finally had time this past week to sit down and paint and assemble the print. This is the first fully articulated figure that I have designed, printed, and painted; it uses zero parts from any action figure line. The fact that this is possible is incredible to me, and I'm energized thinking about the future possibilities for customizers!"

"I finished my second Dieselpunk Star Wars Swoop. Last night I finished Greebleing, then tonight I painted.

I painted the bike and the cowl separately, and simultaneously. The bike I painted it a mixture of Tamiya chrome and dark iron, to make a steel. What I do is I stab the paint. With the metal it gives it a cast look, and with the painted parts stabbing gives it a weathered look."

"The Quarrie figure pictured here was purchased from @angryraccoonminiatures (aka @howlingduck) on Instagram.

After we got the figure in the mail, we made a few special modifications ourselves. Darth Daddy painted the base colors onto the figure and then I modified the eyes and lower half of the head sculpt with some ProCreate to produce a "Customs for the Kid" head for the final figure that is pictured here. After, I added some highlights to Dad's original paintjob to finish it up so I could take these photos, Dad went and added a few touch ups of his own after I wrapped up. A true team project from three different artists.

@angryraccoonminiatures have plenty of other noteworthy "Star Wars Rebels" characters available for purchase in his Etsy store so be sure to check them out!

"I picked up a couple more different types of spray bottles. I keep finding new designs. I decided to build my original idea of a double intake swoop. At this point, its 95 percent spray bottle parts, outside of a piece of tube, a pipe and the "granny grate" screen. I was going to have exposed engines, but i decided to make a cowl, which made from a spray bottle. I painted it, just to see how it would look. We'll see how this one goes.

I added some greebles and wings. Mostly model kit parts but the orange section is from a dart gun. I can't wait to paint it, but I might make some changes first."

It is just unreal how he is creating some great vehicles for just pennies with some great imagination and attention to detail.

"I've added an archway to hide the join on the wall. I decided I wanted to add a couple of extentions which would also double up as two separate pieces. The idea is not only for display but also for taking action shots and not having to cover up the doors with black.

To start I carved the brick pattern to the otherwise of the side door panel and added a doorframe to it. I cut and glued together 2 x 10mm 4" x 9" pieces for the floor and glued them together. I cut out two wall pieces and carved out the brick pattern onto them and then carved out the floor pattern.

Just need to do the same for the second door"

Black Krrsantan custom: Uses parts from 2 TBS Merumeru figures. I replaced the right shield forearm on one with a left one from the other.

Dr Aphra with removable hat: Uses TVC 129 with modified head."

"I got the AK INTERACTIVE TRUE METAL GOLD today. I applied it to my Super 7 Metropolis Maria, as I had the non vac metal orangish one. So I have the vac metal SAGA C-3PO, Maria in the middle and the Forcelink 2.0 c-3po. So the ak is shinier than Hasbro gold, but far from Vac metal. You can add a thin coat of floor finish, no more that one coat, or it'll just look like clear coat over metal paint. The floor finish will also protect it.

Also the Gold can be mixed with the Aluminum, to make Champaign, or in metal terms a nickle finish. As with this concept IG-88. I just had to go a little heavier on the gold.maybe as much as three parts gold one part aluminum. I need to get silver, to see if it's any different from Aluminum."

It is nice to see another product out there to give folks some choices in color especially when it comes to a metal finish.

"I finished the Dieselpunk Cafe Swoop. I'll call it the Gremlin, (named after the ww2 terminology for unexplained aircraft engine malfunctions). It was built by the Twi'lek Rhea, out of a broken down airspeeder engine that was laying around her shop. She uses it for swoop racing in her spare time."

Hard to believe this was just a one day build from scrap parts.

"I really didn’t get it together until Saturday night.

Assembly wasn’t too difficult as the lower body of the beast is pre assembled and all you have to put together is that top marquee/score board back box and bolt the legs on. My one glitch was that one of the hepatic feedback solenoids wasn’t working and I ended up opening the table up to tap on the solenoid a couple of times until it started functioning again. The table is designed to open up that way for servicing."

"I figured out what I wanted to make. I decided on a Cafe Speeder. Kind of a small dieselpunk style speeder. It's basic construction is made from spray bottle parts and a vallejo bottle. Even the seat is the spray bottle trigger, and it works great for a two seater. I still need to make the handles and foot controls, but I got tired."

He has since added said handles and is almost finished with this. Hard to believe this is just spray bottle parts he got at dollar tree!

"Jazwares/Wicked Cool Toys "Halo" Covenant figures with McFarlane weapons:

They scale nicely save for the tiny plasma rifles (not McFarlane, but the original license holder whose name escapes me at the moment), but here they come off more like plasma sub machineguns which works for me!"
