"I made a few customs, nothing super exciting, just more diorama filler figures.
First is Tyche (Tike-hee) named after the Greek equivalent to Fortuna, the Goddess of good fortune also the name of another Twi'lek we all know and love.
Next is a couple of Sullustan technicians named Gomer and Goober. They flunked out of flight school, became mechanics, got fired and now they work at the local gas station.
Lastly are a couple of ASP-7 repaints. They work aboard Tyche's ship as loaders and sometimes
as bodyguards.

"I bought one of these as I only have the Jango Fett version from 2010? and wanted the Boba colour scheme ..in comparison it feels a bit more flimsy and the doors don't clip shut so well, infact I have a bit of a gap from the canopy and body ...maybe I've not clipped the hinge in right, will have to have another look at it"

"These Star Wars items (2 waves of Star Wars Black Series—one from Star Wars Rebels, one from the original trilogy) have just gone live! They should be extremely popular.
#1 should be Zeb Orrelios, which is a new figure. The rest of the Star Wars Rebels are re-releases in new packaging. Overall this is a brand new packaging style for Star Wars Black.
The same is true of the other wave of original trilogy also releasing—re-released figures in the brand new style of packaging. The Mandalorian (Beskar) in that wave should be very popular."

It’s a bit wonky but there is some interesting history about that original Atari Star Wars game in there. You will have to bear with it to see the good stuff"

"Finished these modules. I've added metallic blue to different areas of each floor. Mixed up a dark brown wash to weather areas of the floors and walls, making sure to get into the recesses.
To add the finishing touches to each piece, I've added signage to each one using the Aubesh alphabet created for Star Wars and added a couple of posters to each module.
I'll do my usual final pictures to follow."
Look for us to showcase that too. I am really like his modular dio pieces. You can have a small dio or put em all together and have a huge one!

"Hi All,
Tarzan Lord of the Jungle 1:12 scale.
I decided not to go with the jungle ruin dio like I was originally going to do so I decided to give him a jungle dio instead.
Recipe.
Tarzan - the body is a TBLeagure body which is the leaner out of the two bodies and the heads are from Damtoy's German SS Officer. I removed the peak caps and then used putty to mould the upper section of the head and then used fake for for the hair. The silicone on the body is a tan colour but I wanted to lighten the skin tone which I did by dry brushing different tones of skin colours.
Base - is high density foam layered two high and then cut to shape, I then removed some of the foam and added a small rock face and small stones by using Woodland Scenics rock moulds and gluing them into place and painting and weathering them. I then used real branches and soaked them in methylated spirits for a few hours then let them dry in the sun which dries them out and stops them decaying. I then used mulch/dirt and dry leaves for the ground work."

"Here's my first full custom to show for 2020. Canderous Ordo, the Mandalorian first introduced in the Knights of the Old Republic video game, also made an appearance as a collectible character in the Galaxy of Heroes mobile game. I've done a Canderous back in 2016 based on his appearance in KOTOR, but the character does sport holstered dual pistols in the mobile game. My new version takes inspiration from this appearance."

Now for something completely different (well...not really)....
A tale of two tanks.
I’ve made tanks before (the Last Crusade tank I made 3 times!), but wanted to give some WWII tanks a shot.
The first one I made was a Sherman tank (the later, more angular version that was modified to be a Firefly among other things). I managed to frig up the side profle (the sloping back half should start further up the tank). Anyway, here it is...
Now onto the Bad Guys...
Panzer III is the tank that my kid chose as the other side’s tank. This is an earlier German tank, and is most associated with the initial Blitzkrieg push into Western and Eastern Europe. This went together a LOT faster than the Sherman, and I’m much happier with the end result."

"This modular display are for 3.75" Star Wars figures, made from foam board of 6 & 10mm thickness. It is a single piece of foam with layers of foam added to it. It measurements are 6.5" x 8" x 6", all pieces are glued together using PVA glue, therefore waiting time for the glue to dry is about 24 hours."

I wasn't sure if it was ever mentioned before or discussed to any length, but why not a few pre primed figures like Mandalorians and Clone Troopers? Something I think that should be watched for is McFarlene's Warhammer 40,000 action figures. He'll be offering a pre painted Ultramarines line, plus the unpainted grey figure as well for purchase at what is believed to be a minor lower price point."

Installation went as well as last time. One thing you have to do with these is remove the lower wood strip off of the stock marquee and screw it onto the marquee backside using the pre drilled holes. I did a similar configuration with the long LED strip but it turned out much brighter this time."

"Hi All,
Started a new 1:12 scale project today and this is going to be a jungle ruin for my custom Tarzan figure I finished up yesterday and I have some pics of him but will take my usual pics of him in a few days.
The dio so far has is made using foam and I cut out the separate stones for the floor and three pieces for the door way. I then scribed the stones into the foam on the door way and then used a piece of sandstone and tapped it over the foam to give it a more natural look."
Oh yeah, this is gonna be nice!

"This is a little early from my "one a week" plan, but how about a trade offer!?
Here's a brand new custom Ewok skull warrior. The hood has been cut to alter the shape, and the size of the opening around his face. He's been painted, and weathered. He comes with a custom made Scout Trooper totem-staff, and a traditional spear. The hood is removable (but be careful because forceful motion could break off the glued on skull parts), and he has a removable little messenger-bag.
I would like to trade this custom Ewok for the (also pictured below) 2009 Warok figure from the Battle for Endor set."
Seems like a great deal to me!

"Here's another 6" custom. I've seen a few customs of this character from Battlefront 2 (I don't actually play the game, I just liked the look of the Inferno Squad).
6" Iden Versio custom:
TBS 6" Inferno Squad Agent with head from WWE Series #69 Tamina combined with the top and back part of the head from TBS 6" 81 Padmé Amidala. I find that a lot of WWE heads are too large for TBS 6" figures, but this one was a nice size. I cut the tubes off the life support pack and put plastic pieces in the helmet mouthpiece to fill the holes."

"I’m building up my Tatooine street scene with my third modular piece. This is the same size as the second piece but includes a door and shuttered off window.
I have added detail around the door frame, made the door and a shutter to act as a window. When the PVA glue has dried I will start to paint this.
I’ve lined it up with the other two pieces building up the street.
Creating another filler/sand/paint mixture as I have used before, I have painted this model."

The latest round of questions and answers with Hasbro has sure shown a spotlight on the lack of new 3.75" products out there. So much so that many sites and socail media outlets are banding together to try to share with Hasbro how important a super articulated 3.75" line is.

The final of my updates of today!
After cutting off the excess, sanding it down and gluing the pieces together. Using the same mixture I used for other recent Star Wars pieces, I have coated this piece with the sand/filler/paint mixture."
As if that wasn't enough he has final images of the great Demolished Warehose Dio he finished too. Love the Terminator stuff!

"I finished work on this piece. I've added I window frames, glued in pieces of perspex as broken glass within the frames and randomly on the floor around the windows. I have also added pieces of metal wire sticking out of the concrete floor.
The window frames were first stained with tea and then glazed over using Games Workshop’s Agrax Earthshade.
To finish off I have sprayed the outside with black, hence the outdoors pictures."
Man, I love the crushed skulls on this. Such a cool demolished warehouse!

"It went very well! After 10 minutes of curing, I could easily peel the sticker off! Before, the glue was so strong, that I couldn't remove them without ripping the print/box!
A brush would've been even better and from now on, I'll use a brush and/or a pipette for more precise application.
But after my test worked so well, I tried it on the real deal right away and here are the results."

Last of the Thunderbird Mini kits is TB4.
Recipe.
TB4 - was built straight out of the box and I painted and weathered it using Vallejo Paints.
Base - is a action figure base and I used a mix of sand, spakfilla and sand coloured paint to get the sand look to it and the seaweed is thick grass tufts from Ammo MIG which I cut in half and then glued them on their sides and the rock is from a mold from Woodland Scenic which you just use plaster of Paris to make it."
You gotta love how each one of his posts is a mini-tutorial on how you to can make these kinds of things!

For those of you thinking it would be cool to make your own lightsabers Fluorescent Acrylic Rod is the product you are looking for. I've made several lightsabers using acrylic rod found at a local hobby shop in the scratch-building area (near the styrene sheets), but obviously these are online too (links when you click through)."

"I never managed to get hold of the remodelled exclusive Speeder Bike (I think it was part of the Movie Heroes collection ?), so I kitbashed 2 of my own version from these parts:
TFA Elite Speeder Bike
• Main body, engine & foot controls
• Thrust flaps
• Manuevering control unit (cut from outrigger section)
• Blaster cannon
SW Saga Deluxe Clone Trooper Speeder Bike
• Side pods
• Hand controls
• Vanes & outrigger section (cut from manuevering control unit)
The parts that needed most work, were cutting the 'outriggers' off their 'manuevering control units' and getting the side pods to fit nicely."

The only issue with the kit is that the decals are black instead of white but that is just a little nit pick on my behalf as I grew up with TB1 having white lettering and numbering.

I am sitting here this morning thinking back on my talk with Hasbro last week with the main focus being the lack of new product in the 3.75" line. Folks are just plaing starving and then enter the 3D Printer. I have seen so many cool Razor Crests this past month! Folks want that ship so bad so they are figuring out the design and printing it. Now I know this isn't full blown revolution yet, but are these baby steps to a full blown retail war where folks refuse to buy regular retail, get themselves a 3D Printer, and then just make themselves what they feel they are never gonna get?

"After working on the Demolished Warehouse I turned back to this piece.
I made up a dark grey mix and used a sponge to dab it all over. After it had dried, I added white to the grey and used it in between slabs of all of the surfaces. Then dry brushed it with Venice grey.
All that needs to be done now is add the matt varnish and then paint the back with black."

"Thanks for all your comments and hope you're all keeping safe and well. Here's one I did a while back, but only just got round to taking some pics.
Customised 3.75" Han Solo with Carbonite block: I wanted to have a consistency to the various Carbonite blocks that have come with the figures over the years. I decided to use TBS #19 Han Solo block as I had managed to get a few of these. I cut the front panel off the block and made the shaped area with Das clay, then painted it.
As the existing figure was too tall for the block, I used the upper leg section from TBS #05 Luke Yavin. Lower legs and repainted head from TAC 38 Han Torture Rack."
Oh yeah, that turned out great!

"I tried my hand with a Wookiee custom. I've never tried. He's a merumeru with a Chewbacca head, that ended up being completely sculpted over. I wasn't planning to, it just happened.
Rokkchecc was one of several wookiee prisoners aboard a slave ship headed for Kessel. The wookiees were able to break loose and overpower the crew. Rokkchecc took command of the ship and began his life as an outlaw pirate. He and his Wookiee crew dedicated their lives to freeing Wookiee slaves and disrupting the slave trade in general."
He also has a custom Vizago up for your perusal.

"While that was drying, I undercoated the walls with black, then painted the brickwork, including on the floor. The space above the brickwork has been painted with Venice Grey.
The small wall (which I'm undecided over) was undercoated with black, base coated with grey and then dry brushed with Venice grey."

I did a little better than last time and was pleased with how they turned out. Still a novice at this, the important part is to have a clean surface for your decal."

"My latest trip to a home supply market:
Found texture paint to re-create Stone surfaces. Since I got acrylic paint and taxture paint, I didn't spend the extra 2 bucks. When you dry-brush acrylic paints, you can well achieve a surface that looks like rocks."
It is pretty interesting to see what he looks for and what you can turn into custom gold when you see it folks.

"Hi All,
Star Trek - Attack on Veltar IV 32 mm.
Recipe.
Figures/creatures - the landing party are from Modiphius Entertainment and the Vulcan and Tellarite have been put together straight out of the box. The poor red shirt getting attacked has had his legs altered a little and the arms and head have been replaced with arms and heads from Bolt Action WW2 GI miniatures. The works are from Reaper (BONES) Miniatures and all the miniatures have been painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints.
Started a new Batman Batcave and this will be 1:6 scale, I picked up two KO Batman figures off ebay and I'm going to use the black and grey one for this dio and the figure will have a few tweaks to it after I complete the Batcave."
It was nice to see what he has been up to!

"Anyway. #42 brings me back to my roots. I've had this old beat up ERTL Millennium Falcon model setting around collecting dust and begging to be finished. It's a POS model kit, and the fit of the parts was always bad... so I never went back and finished it. Until I picked it up one day and realized the necks of my guitars fit perfect in between the mandibles!
So, here she is. Three strings, tuned GDG. Fret-less, so it's played with a slide. Flat humbucker pickup hidden under the shell of the model. Volume knob attached to the radar dish. And, my favorite part, when you plug in the amp jack the lights come on!"

"The the throne is finished and is ready for someone to the their place on it. While I wait for that figure, here is Snoke.
Final photos to follow when the worthy candidate has arrived.
Started working on a new piece, a two tier demolished warehouse. Measurements are 15x12"x12". At the moment I'm going for single skin walls of 10mm thicknes. To get the demolished look, I am constructing the model as a whole before breaking it down."

"Time for the Weekly Update! I decided to use Ugnaughts for my droidsmiths. I thought about making a special custom figure, but Ugnaughts kept coming back to me. I made the crane mech and Droid leg holder that hangs from the ceiling. I added a few signs and Droid parts. I finished the table, glued the protocol Droid skeleton and parts, so they don't fall off. That about does it for the interior.
Next week will be the start of the exterior of the building."
It is already awesome. I can't wait to see this continue!

I was looking to replicate the look and feel of Uncle Owen's robe.
Tried a lighter fabric at first...
Eventually settled on a stretch corduroy and sized down a robe pattern that had separate sleeves,
Completing Owen utilizing the comic pack body and an all new Evergrey headsculpt*."

"With the temple construction finished, I wanted to see what it would like. Using Supreme Leader Snoke to model this piece, it gave the entire piece the impression of an ancient SITH Temple from the RPG game Star Wars The Old Republic."

"Finally made the time and space to build a spray booth for my airbrush! I used this beefy MDF because I already had it on hand; leftover from previous projects. It's going near the garage window so I can vent the exhaust out the window because the wife firmly rejected any suggestion of cutting a 4" vent hole anywhere in the house (or in the garage). It's a good spot though."
I can't wait to see him put it to good use!

"I've added a plummet around the top of the three walls, adding brick work to it. I've started to add wall decoration to both side walls.
I finished today by adding extra features to the walls. I've taken a few action pictures to see how it looks."

"What's up peeps! I made another Mandalorian using my skull Mando head. Used a Rick Flagg body again, but totally changed the sculpting and paint decor. This is a Mandalorian Jedi Hunter. He has a working holster and sheath, custom short stock disintegration rifle and Mando vibro blade."
He looks awesome!

"So I got the side on and screwed back together and plugged it in and was impressed by how good it looked. I mean, that thing pops nicely and light distribution is fairly even and bright. The graphic looks crisp and clean and the colors look right."

If you're thinking about trying your hand at dioramas I've learned alot from YouTuber BlackMagicCraft. He mostly does tabletop game builds, but the craft skills he's using will cross over to whatever you plan to build. Definitely start by watching this inspiring video."
