"I'm getting on to the blending in stage. I used Fine Miliput to sculpt the rest of the gauntlets and the cape. As you will notice on the reference picture, the gauntlets and sleeves are one piece. I tried getting this affect while keeping the articulation. Then, I painted the sleeves/gauntlets in Tamiya Lenoleum Deck Brown XF-79."
He is really paying attention to the fine details on this one.

"I recently bought the TVC Boushh Leia, after great reluctance. I just didn't think it was definitive. Yes, the face looks better, but I mean Boushh Leia looks cooler with the helmet on. Besides that, she's holding a thermal detonator, which is the biggest complaint everyone has with this figure. I have a laundry list of things I need to do with this figure to make it acceptable to me."

"Hi All,
I picked myself up a few JP jeep wranglers from Mattel off ebay for cheap and decided to Start converting it into Robert Muldoon's jeep number 10.
I removed the roll bars which the one on the windscreen will need to be cut off the windscreen using a knife. I have repainted the jeeps red area's using Vallejo's Flat Red and mixed Vallejo's Beige Brown, White and Iraqi Sand until I got the colour to match and repainted the numbers."
Nice Ron! It's gonna be cool to see the dio he creates with these.

"I was fooling around with the extra TBS Han in Carbonite, and decided to try a Han in Carbonite in the thawing process. I painted it using Tamiya red and Tamiya clear orange. I couldn't find my clear red. I heated up a nail with a lighter while holding it with pliers, then I melted holes in the Carbonite block. The plastic is thicker than I thought, but it's not too bad."

"With that aside, here are all my custom figures... keep in mind the scale for these figures is 7-8" - the dioramas are huge.
Starting with my first: Shaman predator. He was a Chinese-knock off. As such, I customized him. "Robes": From Gears of War Kantus Figure. Heavily modified. Spear/staff: Made from shish kabob skewers and original parts from Staff... the original was too wimpy and fragile. I also repainted the figure from head crest to toe claws."
Trust me folks you are gonna want to take some time here. Such great stuff. Trust me there is some great ALIENS stuff here too.

A base coat of grey was applied evenly over the model using a small roller. White was added to the grey and rolled over. I then went over the crevices with black."

"Ever since we started this project it has been racing toward completion. It felt like every time we completed a new figure, we became so excited with what we had produced that we couldn't wait to get another action figure started and finished. We were customizing maniacs every free moment we had. We were able to finish the entire project in less than 3 weeks which is unheard of for us. Usually it takes us months to create six, 100% sculpted figures. A real passion for the project and loads of teamwork were the key to the project's quick completion. We put in about seven, 10-12 hour workdays by the time we finished it up."
That is just the start of their description. These Younglings look great!

I was so looking forward to this and was lucky enough to at least see the auction - and the price! It’s $15.99. The listing ended right in the second I hit the icon to buy it - it seems to sell out in seconds also because JTA was already alerted.
Also Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian and Phasma of this Wave are still available. Also the Scarif Trooper of the previous wave. They keep going in and out of stock, too. Let’s hope tunghori got enough units of all of them - especially of the Stormtrooper.
Crazy times have come - in a good way. This iconic army-builder brought back the hype. It’s real again. Some people have already gotten 50 or more of them - spent more money on solid cases than they did on their Sail Barge!! I would be happy to even get one..."

"Hi All,
POTA - Damn Stinking Humans, 1:10 scale.
Recipe.
Gorilla - is from NECA and I wanted him to have sleeveless arms to show the fur arms like Julius in POTA so I used a pair of Mirror Kirk arms from Art Asylum and cover them and the head in fake fur. Once the fur was glued and dried I then painted and weathered the gorilla with Vallejo Paints. The hose is old computer cable and the nozzle and handle were made using plastic rod and card and the running water was done using Woodland Scenics Water Effects.
Base - is high density foam and the cage was made using plastic rod and strips and the hay is tall grass that you can get from any good railway hobby shop. The flow troughs were done buy cutting the foam using a model knife and the dirty water is Woodland Scenics Realistic Water with a little Vallejo Tan Earth add to give a dirty look to it.
Once the dio was painted and put together I used Woodland Scenics Realistic Water and covered the whole base so it gives the feel that the whole area is getting a wash down.

It came as no surprise to me this morning when I got the message that this new kicstarter project already exceeded its goal after only being live for one day!

I always appreciate it when the Yarders keep me aware of what is happening in action figure land. The latest was the great kick start off for Unslain. I can see folks really customizing the fire out of these. Looks like the parts are interchangeable and the articulation is what we like!

"It's been a long time since I've built any new Bandai kits. Pretty much been busy with TVC and figure customs. I'm moving soon, so I had packed all of my modeling stuff away. Well had my local Con (MAGNETICON) on over the weekend and it's getting bigger every year. A promotion company took over this year so there weren't any huge guest VIP's as it is going to tailored to Cosplay and Gaming.
My setup was different this year as I had an area so I could paint and make diorama's so people could see what is involved in making a diorama, I also sold all the dios on the table which was awesome and I hope they do well again next year.

"Here's a quick update! The sculpt is 60% done. I'm left with the breathing apparatus, tunic, belt, and more clean ups on the arms, feet and hands. Articulation is added to the hands via 2mm x 1mm rare earth magnets!"
