"Wow, was this ever a challenge. Months of design, development, and prototyping. $400 worth of molds. $200+ in master parts. My biggest and heaviest vehicle kit thus far. Approximately 26" tall with wings deployed and 14" wide. Weighs in at around 5 lbs.
- Canopy includes clear plastic windows and is removable for one standing pilot inside.
- Removable roof panel allows access to rear passenger seat.
- Wings pivot open and closed and held in place with internal spring mechanisms.
- Cannons can sweep about 45 degrees (depending how you attach them)
- Includes stand configurable to sit low or high depending whether wings are open or closed.
- There is room to hold a battery inside if you want to add LEDs (you can see I added some to mine in the video)

"3.75" "STAR WARS REBELS (SEASON 3 & 4)" KANAN JARRUS custom action figure created by Customs for the Kid
To celebrate 12 years of blogging, Darth Daddy picked up the sculpting tools and started a new figure after 2 years away from the hobby. Dad announced his retirement from the blog on our 10-year anniversary just before he had surgery performed on both of his eyes to treat a rare degenerative eye condition he developed. The surgery was successful but it took about a full year for his eyes to heal post surgery.
Dad thought that making a 1/18 scale "Star Wars Rebels" Kanan Jarrus from Season 3 and 4 would be a fitting project to take on for our 12-year anniversary celebration. To make Kanan, Dad used TVC Young Han Solo from the "Solo: A Star Wars Story" film as his base for the figure."

"I already have a VC Slave 1 and not wanting to spend 2 bills just for a Tusken Boba was my inspiration. Used a cloak from a VC 175 Luke that I painted black from a previously made Grogu rescue luke custom. I cut a little chest square from a fodder pile vader cape and the sling came from a fodder pile Aurra Sing rifle. Used some black string (singed the ends with a lighter, so string wouldn't fray) and weapons from a VC 199 Tusken Raider. I thought about painting the rifle sling darker brown and the boots black and then I decided to keep it simple and not alter the figure or paint.
My son made the background with construction paper and took the pics."
Now that is one great idea and custom and a great way to make your own. Gotta love the dio creation too!

Fallschirmjagers and Pak 40 Anzio 1944,1:35 scale.
Recipe.
Figures/Pak 40 - are from Dragon Models and built straight out of the box and were painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints and pastel chalks.
Base - is high density foam cut to shape and the ground work is a mix of spakfilla/sand/dirt and then painted and weathered. The stone wall and stones are kitty litter and the grass tufts are from Army painter and the small bushes are from Woodland Scenics dead foliage kit.

"Vacation is coming, so I might get to finish up some projects (finally). I did, however, find the time to do a quick custom, basically just a head swap:
Known simply as Twelfth Sister, this Aqualish was a brand new Padawan when Order 66 was executed, she hadn't yet been transported to where her new Master was stationed. So when the Jedi Temple was attacked, she was isolated and alone. This provided an opportunity for a covert squad under Sidious' direct control to capture her for the Inquisitorius Project. As an Aqualish, she already was prone to angry and belligerent physical responses, so she was easily "converted" to the cause."

"WIP update, I've decided to place a central doorway on the back wall. After researching Warhammer 40K architecture I settled for the large double door with the sign of the Aquila engraved on the double doors. I hand drew half of the Aquila on one door and then traced it onto the other door, after it was drawn onto both doors I then gave it some depth."
And that is just the start of how he was able to create this fantasatic door!

"Hi All,
German King Tiger WW2 - 1:72 scale.
Recipe.
Tank/Figures - are both from Dragon Models and were painted using Vallejo Paints and the tank was weathered with Pastel Chalks.
Base - is an old father's day present my son gave me a few ago which use to be a key holder. The ground is a mix spafilla/sand/brown paint and once dry was given a few washes of beige brown and then dry brushed a medium brown.
The stone fence is metal which I've had for years and I think it was an AB figures product, the static grass is from my local hobby shop and the grass tufts are from Army Painter and the bushes and trees are from Woodland Scenics.

"Since I first started painting Warhammer 40K, I have wanted to make a diorama for them. I was going to start one last year for the McFarlane 7? figures but that project never started and just remained an idea. Now I have a number of JoyToy 1:18 scale Ultramarines, the idea has now begun to take form. The idea is to create a gothic (possible ruin/battle damaged to stay within 40K) inspired structure, which could also be used for 6? – 7? figures."

"Hi All,
Ditched-Battle of Scarif, 28mm.
Recipe.
Pilot and Fighter - the pilot is from Skullforge Designs and the Tie Fighter is from DarkFire Designs and once the Tie was put together it and the pilot were painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints.
Base - is high density foam cut to shape and I then cut sections away to fit the wing and cockpit.
I first added the sand using a mix of spakfilla and washed river sand and the inserted the Tie into place and the smoke was done using a piece of wire and then gluing cotton wool to it and lightly spraying it with black and grey spray cans.
Once the sand mix was dry I painted using Vallejo's Iraqi Sand, the palm trees are from Ebay and the palm looking plants are fish tank plants and these were painted and the ferns a from MIG which were given a light dark wash. The light green bushes are from Woodland Scenics and the grass tufts are from Army Painter.
The water was done by using watered down spakfilla and spreading it out and while it was drying I used the bottom of a rea spoon which was covered lightly with water and lightly flicked it to make the waves.
Once the spafilla was dry I then painted it using Vallejo's Dark Blue and once dry I mixed a two part clear resin and added light blue and gave the water three layers. Once the resin was dry I them dry brushed the waves white and the used Woodland Scenics Water Effects and covered the waves with it and once clear it gives the waves a nice effect.
