I saw this new "Kid Connection" Battleship Playset at Walmart after work today.
It retails for $15.97, but honestly isn't worth it. The plastic is waxy and cheap feeling and the entire toy is covered in my biggest pet peeve when it comes to toys- hollow reverse sides (see pictures 2 and 3). I know manufacturers do this to save on production costs, but it just screams laziness and chintzyness. Another strike against this are the shallow areas under the hatches, they are barely knee deep and are sealed on all four inner walls preventing figures from sitting in them and leaving the gunners completely exposed from the knees up.
This is a hard pass, even at this price as it would take a ton of modifications to make it useful to adult collectors/customizers. Kids might like it though.
