Spent the day on Staten Island visiting a friend and his family and stopped off at a place that will be familiar to Joe fans
Fort Wadsworth was the location of "The Pit", headquarters to the G.I.Joe team in the old Marvel Comics series!
While the real life base looks nothing like the one in the comics (the motor pool under which The Pit resides was completely fictional) and is no longer an active military base (it is now an administrative facility), it was still awesome as a long time Joe fan to set foot there today
