I just put a gallery of new toy lightsabers and a droid on the front pages if you are interested.

I saw the first 4 releases (Mando, Vader, Deluxe Vizla and Deluxe Sabine) at Walmart.

They are not great. Chunky sculpts, bland paint work and the Deluxe figures have huge, oversized kiddie weapons :(

I agree with your assessment - saw them today as well. I would have bought them for my kids when they were under 10, but not any older than that. But the assortment is too odd to be compelling for a child, a stormtrooper should have been released in the initial assortment, they are a universal bad guy.

Hasbro has been focused on producting hero type figures in the SW Line for years. Every time I would talk with a rep and would bring up that subject they wouldn't budge on that party line even though most agreed the other figures and obscure characters and everyday characters were so much more interesting and needed. I mean duh, good guys need bad guys to fight almost in equal measure. I am sure there is a big wig somewhere that won't budge on that.
