L8-L9 (build a droid)

L8-L9

This is a build a droid figure mainly from wave 8 (THE PHANTOM MENACE) but also some other figures come with L8-L9 parts.
You need six figures to complete this droid. I used Rum Sleg, Obi-Wan Ep.I, Gungan warrior, Darth Sidious Hologram, Clegg Holdfast and Han Solo Stormie to build this guy.

story:
L8-L9 was a prototype battle droid built by TaggeCo during the Clone Wars. The droid was created in the utmost secrecy, and was part of a ploy by Baron Orman Tagge to gain favor in the sight of Palpatine.
To test the L8-L9, Orman Tagge arranged the droid to fight in the Rattatak arenas to show off its abilities. Unfortunately for L8-L9 and Tagge, Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress bested the robot, therefore shutting down any further production of the combat droid L8-L9 was based on.

articulation:
*swivel neck
*swivel shoulders
*ball-hinged elbows
*swivel forearms
*ball-hinged torso
*swivel hips
*ball-hinged knees
*ball-hinged ankles

accessories:
2 flame effects

per:
It is a great figure with some nice detailing and for me as a Firestorm-fan an absolutely must-have.

versus:
No weathering and it is very very hard to arrange the figure with the flame effects.

I give this figure a 8.5/10

btw: I made a mistake on the picture Asajj vs. L8-L9, I think she destroyed L8-L9 without her lightsabers. Sorry for that

No, I really only go after the ESB waves or those that have some ESB figs in em, but I remember seeing the first CW cartoon and seeing this figure looking good in the big ole battle royal they had going at the time.  I should have these newer reviews up in a few minutes. Gotta index the old ones.
