INFO: The Ketton were a species of solitary nomads who roamed the Great Dalvechan Deserts of their homeworld, Ket.

RACE: Ketton
HEIGHT: 1.3 to 1,7 Meters Tall
SKIN (CARAPACE): White to dark brown
DISTINCTION: Natural body armor, fangs
LANGUAGE: Ketton

HOMEWORLD:
Ket was a planet in the Lorelli Reach region of the Hapes Cluster. It was the homeworld of the nomadic Ketton species.

BIOLOGY AND APPEARANCE:
Adapted to the deserts of their home planet, the Ketton had slit-like eyes which could be shielded from sandstorms, and lhave long hollow fangs with which they suck the liquid reservoirs of various succulent plants native to their deserts. Though the Ketton are a generally peaceful people, their fangs make them appear to be dangerous. They prefer not to use their fangs in combat however, feeling it soils them. . Though they were covered in a chitinous, brownish-colored shell, they were actually more mammalian in their biology (basically they had a humanoid build and bore live young). Adult Ketton averaged 1.3 to 1.7 meters in height, and usually had light brown or tan shells (though they ranged from white to dark brown in color).

Their eyes are little more than slits in their heads, designed to avoid the harsh sandstorms that rage across the deserts. Though they are by nature solitary individuals, they have a strong sense of community and will go out of their way to aid a fellow Ketton.

CULTURE AND HISTORY:
While their fangs and natural armor made them appear to be dangerous, they were generally a peaceful people. When forced to fight, they refrained from soiling their fangs in combat. Despite their solitary lifestyle, Ketton had a strong sense of community, and would go out of their way to help other Ketton. An infamous Ketton was the spy Derrida.
