INFO: Revwiens in the galaxy are usually just curious wanderers. They need very little to survive, and as such they are often willing to work for passage to other systems. They are reliable, but generally unskilled laborers. The majority of Revwiens are curious and open to new ideas and concepts. They enjoy learning, and some species find their childlike enthusiasm amusing.

HOMEWORLD:Revyia was a planet in the Veragi sector of the Outer Rim, located halfway between the Pits of Plooma and the Galactic Rim. It was the homeworld of the Revwien species. In 30 BBY, the Tyia Force tradition was brought to the planet by a missionary aboard an independent freighter.
Prior to joining the Rebel Alliance, Han Solo attended an Ithorian Herd Meet in deep space near Revyia in order to smuggle approximately one hundred kilograms of rock ivory to Grambo the Worrt.
BIOLOGY AND APPEARANCE:They had six to eleven prehensile flowing leaf-like appendages, dark green to purplish-black in color. At least four of their leaves would be used as feet, with the rest used as arms. A thick cylindrical stalk served as a torso, which held the majority of their vital organs.
Their bodies came in the complete spectrum of colors, from red to violet. Their bulbous heads were really clear seed cases, which contained numerous small budstalks. These budstalks were sensory organs that provided Revwiens with the senses of sight, smell, hearing, and touch.
CULTURE AND HISTORY:Revwiens led a semi-nomadic lifestyle, living in small unorganized communities. Their most formal institutions were open-air universities, where Revwiens would live their entire lives learning and teaching others. While their planet was occupied by the Galactic Empire, the only recognizable city on Revyia was Revyia Station, which they set up next to the Imperial garrison. Their legends, however, told of great cities with powerful artifacts which existed in their ancient past. No archaeologists ever found evidence for these claims, other than often contradictory Revwien myths.
The Revwien people were peaceful beings who had a reputation of remaining calm under pressure and stressful situations. Revwien were scrupulously honest, but sometimes naïve and easily cheated. They were curious about the galaxy around them, and friendly towards offworlders, but saw little need for their advanced technology.
Revwiens who traveled off-world cheerfully adapted to high technology, however, even without understanding it. They had few marketable skills when traveling offworld, but since they nourished themselves photosynthetically and had little desire for material goods, they could easily support themselves as unskilled laborers. Wandering Revwiens often worked on starships in exchange for free passage to new systems.
Instead of machinery or electronics, most of their technology was based on the use of specially bred plants. Revwien plants included medicinal plants, light generators, glue-producing plants, and even plants which "predicted" the weather through changing color. Vognallian seed pods were also used by the Revwiens as their equivalent of fragmentation grenades. Revwiens also bred animals, such as the pet urpines they used to protect themselves from marauding herds of herbivores.
Many Revwiens believed in the teachings of Tyia, a religion brought to Revyia by a missionary aboard an independent freighter around 30 BBY. Tyia beliefs held life and peace in high regard, which were concepts that the Revwien already strongly believed. Many Revwien followers of Tyia, called Thuwistens, wandered through the galaxy, spreading the Tyia message of peace. Some of these Thuwistens were adept at manipulating the Force, but they chose not to involve themselves actively in conflicts as the Jedi Order did.
