Bring me Kal Skirata's HEAD!
« on: February 05, 2010, 03:21:06 PM »
Ok, I'm 99% done (have to touch up his accents a bit) with my custom Kal Skirata, but I need his head.  He was modeled after Ed Harris, according to Wookieepedia and Karen Travis.  I need it hollowed out to fit on a ball jointed neck.  Does anyone have any idea what other lines have the ball-joint heads, and which ones may be close to that style of head?  All ideas are welcome!

I made one a while back, but couldn't find an Ed Harris like head. So I found one that kind of works.....for him.

Check my custom thread....I'll post him up

Thanks for the info, I'll have to go troll Target and Walmart for their generic figures.  And your Kal blows mine away, and now I can see where I made mistakes, so I definitely have to go back and fix mine before he's finished!

if it's from a generic line you'll probably have to dremel out your own socket for the neck ball....

Aww, you mean I'll have to go out to a hardware store and buy ANOTHER tool?  Aww, shucks!

You need a dremel anyway Pat, invaluable little tool to have in the shop,   A man can never have to many tools,  I have 3 rolling cabnets full in my garage and I still want more :)

Oh I definitely agree!  It just gives me another excuse to go to Menards and spend more money!

get a dremel with the ability to vary the speed if you can, but don't get a battery powered one either.
I wish I had gotten a variable speed dremel... alot of the times I find myself puting my dremel bits into my cordless drill because I can control the speed better (but it's very unweildy when your trying to work on something small...)

I have two dremels, one corded one with varying speed, and a battery powered one with varying speeds.

I use both of them for different applications....sorry I forgot too mention that about the head.
