Jak and Daxter Series

I am a fan of a video game series known as Jak and Daxter.  Anyway, my main purpose for starting this thread up is to hear what you guys think of the game if you've played it and also, I am going to purchase the new installment, but I don't know if I should get the PSP or PS2 version.  Can anyone with expertise in this help me?  Thank you.

The PSP Game for this series, Daxter, has been my favorite game to take on trips and such.  But, awhile back, my screen cracked, and I finally decided it'd be worth my while to purchase a new one.  I have the broken one removed, and am envious to receive the new one, and replay the game, over and over, lol.
