TCW Clone Cmdr Jet
« on: July 08, 2011, 07:49:34 AM »
Hi there folks!
Wraithnine here with another Clone Wars figure review, this time round its the turn of the heavily delayed Clone Commander Jet who we saw in the TCW season 2 episode "Landing at Point Rain" from the Geonosis arc ,arguably one of the highlights of that season as with most clone commanders he and his unit are  attached to a Jedi General  Ki-Adi-Mundi.

I was lucky enough to score him and Clone Trooper Kix (from the season 2 episode "Deserter" ) from the Ebay seller Tunghori for $7.99  each plus $6 shipping(combined) i ordered them on the 4th of July and blow me! if they werent delivered this morning! (the 8th of July ) Malaysia to the UK in just 4 days!.i do believe he has some left  ,here is the item No:370524935487

Onto the figure first off most of you will be pleased to hear that he is NOT the stone sculpt body(thank god)

essentially he uses the same body as the Spec-Ops Clone Trooper(fromthe 2-pack) and the same head just with minor repaints, articulation wise he has ball jointed head, shoulders, torso, elbows, knees and ankles ,
with swivel hips and wrists.

the Kama is from Capt Rex.He comes with 2 DC-17 pistols ,he also has swappable earpods that have antenna on them and can be easily changed out to the plain ones .the paints apps generally are pretty good but can be a little sloppy in places.heres are some images for you...

with the Spec-Ops Troopers:

one thing i did notice is that the symbol on the shoulder is a lot tighter on Jet than the standard trooper..

Hasbro Jet alongside my custom Jet.

all in all this is a cool figure and a worthy purchase ,made even more so by the fact its not a Cmdr Stone Sculpt figure . ;D

I have to admit, in personal opinion, I think yours looks quite a bit better than the Hasbro one.  The paint colors are more bold, with more detail and care given.  Great review, Jay.

I just got him off eBay. I'm trying to get Commander Blitz from eBay but someone said in Wal Mart that they were stocking those soon and that pack was in it. I already have Echo and Fives, so here come customs! Man, I got off topic. That was a helpful review, I didn't see the shoulder thing. (Is that a good thing or a bad thing?) ()rr

It is a good review, and a solid figure. I wish they would have swapped his rocket launcher for a proper blaster rifle, but otherwise he's a great figure. I like that specops head sculpt, nice to see variety of buckets in the CWA line.

rwkjr- I can't speak for your wal-marts, but mine are swimming in the various 3 man battlepacks. YMMV of course!
