Topic: paint for die cast metal

Does anyone have experience with customizing die cast metal vehicles at all?   

I have NO idea what sort of paint would be good for it, never evn thought of this idea till today.  What is best?  It's got to stick to the metal, obviously, but I'm hoping there's some good durable paint that for it that won't scratch off immediately.
