YakFace collects vintage Star Wars. 1/8/2013
« on: January 08, 2013, 01:29:34 PM »
Hey been meaning to start a collection thread here to show you guys how I display my vintage collection at home. I have a bunch of custom build cases lining my walls in my home that contain my entire vintage SW figure collection. These I have had since I was a kid and originally belonged to my uncle who collected them back in the 70's. Over the years I have added and replaced figures and only need two more for the full set.

Also have a few carded figures and I also keep my current custom figures in one of the cases. Oh and that Blue Snag figure was found in my backyard in a old plant pot, score!

Awesome stuff Brent! I can't believe you found a blue Snaggletooth in the back yard! Man, what luck! You have a great vintage collection, one that I am jealous of. Super jealous of the 12 inch Boba and IG-88! Love your display cases!

Thanks Spry! Yeah I couldnt believe the Blue Snag it was the holy grail just chilling in my old planter, and the condition on it is off the charts only one ding on his boot! Im glad you like my collection it has been a labor of love to collect all of these figures over the years. Alot of strong memories with my dad going to comic shops and flea markets just trying to score the ones I was missing. That 12" IG-88 I found while driving across Arizona at the most sketchy looking flea market, to give you a better idea the top selling products where puppies from a van and guns. I paid $20 for IG-88 and he had all the little orange grenades for his bandolier. Im a true collector at heart and love the hunt, and it's no fun for me to just pay top dollar just to get a figure I'm missing. If your looking for any of the older Kenner stuff you should let me know there is a very awesome vintage toy store in my area and Im friend with the owner. Any excuse to go toy shopping is a good one!
