Hi my friends,

after several weeks of working on a second TIE-Fighter conversion (V2.0 ;D), today I could finally finish this project.  :)

"Hasbro TIE FIGHTER - STUDIO SCALE EDITON 2013"

Still not 100% movie accurate, but imho a nice collector piece.
What I've done with this Hasbro toy:

- more realistic cockpit window with all  new "screw holes"
- *new* version of the "3 part" wings
- LED cockpit ilumination
- LED ion engine lights
- "visible" engine
- lots of details added at the wings and the fuselage
- decals added
- all joints closed
- "LED-design" laser canons
- *new* stainless steel design base (optional "Death Star Design Base")
- complete new repaint

Here you can find a making of diary with many pics (German language only - sorry) : http://maxx-replicas.jimdo.com/wip-projekte/hasbro-tie-fighter-v2-0/

And here are some pictures of the final result (a Youtube video is coming the next days):

Thanks for watching  ;)

how did you eliminate the wing sag?

I hope you can see on the pictures how I have done it (the aluminum tubes are firmly glued to the hull)

Amazing job! I love it! Lots of care and love went into this, you can tell.. (oh and a lot of blood sweat and tears :)

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

Simply amazing work. The attention to detail is off the charts! It's hard to believe this started out as a Hasbro toy. It's incredible.

Ah okay I see, I'll need to figure out a way to keep mine from sagging but keep it a "toy".

Oh my, stunning is one word that comes to mind. Beautiful work and thanks for that tip using the aluminum tube.
