It's not like there was much on the horizon before disney, CW was ending (Everyone said so right from the season premiere), games were in limbo (How long had we waited for Battlefront 3 and others), books were next to over. It was a tough point to grab onto the franchise (however some might argue the best time since so little was on the horizon). Focus seems to be on the new films which don't happen instantaneously so there is stuff to look forward to at least.
