At this point, I have to admit that action figures have priced themselves out of my comfort zone.

I am done.

I have enough figure fodder to customize for another 20 years or more so I can just make my own characters.

Ditto on vehicle and diorama fodder.

I think a lot of folks will wait for sales or clearance now that they are going to this type of price point. I got out of doing one of each when they went to ten dollars a figure. Now they are going to thirteen and I see no end in sight. I can't wait to hear their answer to that question when Dan goes to Toy Fair. I bet we hear the same old thing cost of tooling, etc. they sure can't say its the cost of petroleum now as it has gone way down!

$13 for that size is way too much, $8 was my limit. I quit collecting the 3.75" and got into the 6", which $20 is hard to swallow. If those go up anymore Im done with action figures.

I have to say that with the base of $9.99 today i have to be selective with my purchases. If they do go to $13.99 that means i'll even be more selective. But it does mean that i will have to do more bargain hunting the Discount Box stores (I did find a great deal @ my local Ross for the Holidays) and the web.

I don't know what to say, we are paying 12,99€ for EVERY 3,75" figures. :(
And what do we got? Wave 1 and 2 with all the problem they had, production errors, loose arms, blisters falling off.

The only stores with never figures are toys R us and a comic shop, but toys is to far away from where iam living and the figures at the comic shop cost 13,99€. The 6inch figures are at 25 - 30€, my girlfriend bought me the prototype Boba and paid 29,99€ for it.
Yeah it has become a real pain in the a** to collect SW Toys in some parts of germany.
Figures which never came here:

The Solo Twins Wave LC
The 2 Geonosis Battle Sets
The 2 Scanning Crew Sets
The New Speeder Bike 3,75"
CW Mandalorian Packs

You've been able to get some via internet, but the prices have been... well... you get the pictue.  :'(

So, no i won't pay anymore than the curret price. Iam allready at my limit.

With the way they are releasing new figures nowadays its not like you have to worry about them inundating the market!

$13.99 is more than I am willing to pay. However, I would be very surprised to see that pricing point become the norm in the U.S. Also, as a number of folks have already noted, there are enough sales where you wouldn't have to pay that much for the bulk of the new figures that would be released.

I did notice that over the weekend, when we went to 2 different Wal-marts in the area and they still had some figures @ 9.99, not a lot of them but a few.

It is beginning to look like this might not be a Hasbro thing, but a retailer thing.
