Mattel "Jurassic World" Mini Action Dinos Review:

As part of Mattel's inaugural releases for their "Jurassic World" line, they have released a series of small, blind bagged dinosaurs featuring minimal articulation. There are at least a dozen different dinosaurs to collect. These same dinosaurs are also available in carded sets of 3, with 2 dinosaurs being exclusive to the carded sets. The species covered in the first series are a nice mix of common and uncommon dinosaurs and even a fictional dinosaur in the form of the genetically created Indominus Rex (this is one of the 2 carded exclusive figures) cast in clear vinyl to simulate it's chameleonic abilities.

If you are after a particular dinosaur, they are pretty easily identified in the blind bags as there is no additional packing material in the bag, just the loose dinosaur and a small pamphlet showing all of the dinosaurs in the series. I was only after 2 different dinosaurs and found them extremely easily.

The Anklyosaurus (my all time favorite dinosaur) is made from heavy, rigid vinyl and has some green overspray deco and painted black eyes. There is a ball hinge joint at the base of the tail.

The Stygimoloch is made from a heavy, rigid vinyl and has some grey and brown overspray deco and black painted eyes There is a ball hinged neck as well.

There appears to be no uniform scale for any of the dinosaurs in this series. Despite their real world sizes varying from the size of a turkey to a creature 80 feet long, the figures are all about the same overall size (there is some variety, but not much).

These blind bagged Mini Action Dinos retail for $3.44 each, a bit high for what you get, but if you have a need for small articulated dinosaurs for your dioramas, they have some excellent sculpted details despite their tiny sizes.

Great you can find the ones you want without too much trouble. You have to be on dinosaur high right now. Can't wait to see some SW on the pegs like this.
