After waiting forever, I found this the other day and tore into the package with a hunger for more ESB goodness.
Costing $7.47 at a local Walmart, this figure represents yet another achevement in quality by Hasbro and what has got to be the best representation of Luke's likeness that I have ever seen on a 3 3/4 scale figure. Fully articulated, Luke has an all new nicely screen accurate looking pilot body sculpt with a partially covered head and great looking paint apps. He includes a new sculpt pilot's helmet with great paint apps and a more accurate tri-planed visor that just looks incredible. I thought it looked even more like pilot Luke when the helmet was on. He also comes with a lightsaber hilt? "no blade, just a hilt" and a grappling hook gun with removable grappling hook and a length of string attached to the hook. On the tail end of the gun, there is a plastic cable with an attachment ring molded onto the end of it. While on the package, it appears that the end of this cable attaches to Luke's belt, this is not the case as no peg or pin for this function exists. "must have been glued into place for the card back shot"
Also included were the head and gun to the BAD figure HK50 which I am getting close to finishing another of.
All in all folks, this is a killer Luke Pilot sculpt with Great articulation and a killer helmet. Lightsaber or not, this is now my favorite Luke Skywalker and it was certainly worth the price of admission.
I couldn't resist posing this guy with my POTJ snowspeeder for a few shots but one has to wonder, if this Luke was meant to be played with the new Big ATAT walker that is to come out in the future and you were supposed to use the grappling hook to replicate the scene where Luke cuts his way into the bottom of a walker to deposit an esplosive, then where is the lightsaber blade, Hasbro?
