Vintage L-shaped floor sections
« on: August 15, 2009, 12:15:57 AM »
Hi,
back when we were young, Kenner offered a set of (four, I believe) modular floor sections which you could get for free when you mailed them ten (I believe) bonus points from figure cards.
I did that, not knowing if the offer was valid within the US only or worldwide and after about six months I actually received a small packet from Kenner USA with my floor sections.
Needless to say: they disappeared when mum decided I was too old now to play with Star Wars stuff...

Question: are these still around?
They were L-shaped, creasmy yellow in colour and had foot pegs on them. They were great for playing back then and they would still be great for display purposes today.

These are still around, they were offered on the ESB cards as the Display Arena,

Here is a pic from THE Earth Toy Mall,  a great place to pick up vintage goodies by the way. They came with the floor sections as well as various diplay backgrounds. Second link is to 12backs Youtube vid of the original commercial
