BIOLOGY AND APPEARANCE:Calibops were an avian sentient species noted for their talkative nature. They used prehensile feathers on their wings as fingers. The species also had bushy manes and short tails, prone to twitching in situations that caused agitation or nervousness. A flick of a tail was an equivalent to a shrug.
CULTURE AND HISTORY:Ponc Gavrisom, the Chief of State of the New Republic who signed the peace accords with the Imperial Remnant which ended the Galactic Civil War, was a Calibop.[1] Mif Kumas, the New Republic Senate's Sergeant at Arms, was also a Calibop.
